Hi everybody!Look at following airliners.net -picture showing a B738 (Air Europa) http://www.airliners.net/open.file/800713/L/What do they have for a strange VNAV deviation scale on their NDs??Seems to be the normal white index but then another magenta index where the pointer is on...Airline option? Phantom image because of the camera used?Any ideas,Stefan

Hicannot find the answer in the forum so here it goes. I keep getting the annoying message from FS9 that the altimeter is not configured correctly. I set the transition level to the area I am flying (which normally is 7000 feet) hit exe etc. When passing the transition altitude I switch to std but I do not get the 29.92. It stays the same untill the 18000 feet (the US transition altitude) where I can go to std. In the meantime I keep getting the message from FS9What am I doing wrong? Cannot figure it out and know there is a simple answer*:-* Thks Diego

Anyone know of any updated sounds for the 737 series that are better than the ones shipped with the PMDG package? There is one set on avsim around 50meg but they seem really weak compared to the standard PMDG onesthanksgraham

This plane seems to have the wrong attitude while sitting on the ground, especially when compared to the 1900D. It seems that the nose end is sitting higher than the tail end. Shouldn't it at least be level? Most 1900's that I have seen are either level or the rear is a hair higher. The 1900D seems to be correct, but the new C version looks weird, even in the a/c selection screen. I know this is an easy fix, has anyone else noticed?CH

HelloHow do I get the cargo doors to open?Thank youARS

According to the flight manual, to perform a BLEEDS OFF Takeoff, the air conditioning panel should be set up as follows:1-APU ON2-Right Air Cond Pack Switch: AUTO3-Isolation Valve Switch: CLOSED4-Left Air Cond Pack Switch:AUTO5-No.1 Engine Bleed Air Swtich: OFF6-APU Bleed Air Switch: ON7-No.2 Engine Bleed Air Switch: OFFMy problem is with step 3. Since the APU is the air source, if the Isolation Valve is CLOSED, will this not deprive the right duct of bleed air pressure and cause the right air con pack to shut down? Thanks,Frank

When you create a flightplan and you can select the aircraft you are flying does anybody know the correct details ie TAS, fuel flow etc for the PMDG models. My flightplan speeds etc never look quite right as the default FSNav 737 values don't fit with PMDGAnd what will the values be for all 4 models ie 600,700 etc many thanksGraham

Hi:Just a query. When landing the 737 in cross wind or head wind conditions should you enter the wind componont into the FMC so that the landing V speed and flap increment levels are altered to take the wind into account? On the FMC is this the WINF CORR +5KN line select key?In Fred Claudens's tutorial in the approach section, he mentions in his "info bit" section the following:"If we had wind conditions, we would have to correct the approach speed by (going off memory here) adding the constant wind speed and one half of the gust component, I think that is the right forumla".Does anyone know the correct formula to calculate this??Many thanks as always..............Iain (A…

Hello,On the 737 FMC - what is the proper procedure for removing a discontinuity from the flight plan?I need a simple example of "what to press first" info! When I do it now, I always seem to delete the wrong thing - not the discontinuity!!!!!Thanks in advance,Ron Sagel

Just bought the 737NG from the site, and followed the link to download it from the confirmation email. The PMDG FAQs say this should be a 69mb zip, yet I get a 70mb exe file which doesn't appear to do anything when it runs...Any ideas...Thanks,Chris

I have several saved situations involving approaches at 3000' or so into the destination airport. All works fine, but I am unable to get any flap speeds set into the PFD speed tape (left side) after filling in the appropriate fields of the various screens of the FMC. It seems I need to start a flight from the ground up and then the flap settings will appear for the approach phase.I am doing this exercise without an FMC flightplan loaded. It's just approach practice. Are the flap speeds supposed to appear in such circumstances as I describe above ?Thanks!Jonathan

Ok just being picky, but why doesn't the Cabin Altitude Warning Horn go off when the cabin goes above 10,000'? Almost everything else is 100% accurate, just wondering.Kevin Mitchell

The new B-1900C Express seems to run on the auxiliary fuel tanks by default. Although the fuel panel (F8) has a switch to show quantity in either the aux or main tanks, I have not been able to discover how to make the engines draw fuel from the main tanks instead of the aux tanks. Anyone have the answer to that???

How do you get the cargo door to open ?In the manual it says to use ####+e+2 but, I never see it work....I have to say I love this plane !

Hi againHere's my scenario:I've stepped inside the cold and dark cockpit of my PMDG 737-700. I decide (my first assumption being this is the correct thing to do) to follow the Normal Procedures (per the AOM) chronologically from "Exterior Safety Inspection" onwards. However, my cockpit has been left by another newbie like me ;) from a previous flight, with one or two switches in "unexpected" positions. For example, the STANDY POWER switch is left with the Guard UP.Nevertheless, I do not notice this and continue on with my normal procedures. Soon I reach BATTERY SWITCH "ON". Result, no battery power and the rest of the procedure does not work, e.g. I can't get the APU t…

Hi,I purchased the 737 600/700 and 1900... I love it... I am having some problems with a possible virus and I am looking at reformatting my hard drive. Problem is I can't find the original zip download files from when I purchased the aircraft. How can I save my planes and use them again after reformatting my hard drive? Should I try to burn & save the original down load files next time? Save the aircraft folders from fs9 then reload them? Mahalo, Will

I see that the gauges in the B1900C are much better than the ones in the B1900D, can PMDG make a update with the B1900C gauges for the 1900D?PLEASE!!

PMDG,I am building a home cockpit and based on the 1900 and require your assistence. I am trying to figure out how to het some of the annunciators to work properly and since these are in the panel and not values accessable via FSUIPC I was wondering f you could assist me in determining the algorithm used for some of these functions... For instance, when the AUTOFEATHER annunciators light up, how is the threashold determined in your panel (i.e. = N1=90% AND TorQue > 80%, or whatever). Is this data available?

Hey guys in the forum,I was just trying out the failures with their respective procedures as from the checklist. So i noticed that after executing the failure and the remedial actions for that failure....for example i tried the engine failure 5 seconds after V1.After the engine failure after takeoff i completed the procedure and landed and proceded to an isolated bay and performed the rest of the actions. Now after shutting down the engine,i cleared the failure but now the engine which had failed is not starting even after clicking on the "CLEAR ALL" button.I have to reload the aircraft again. This happens everytime.Does PMDG or anyone here have a solution for this.-NavneetF…

I love the new Beech 1900C. I'm having a blast flying it around. I wish PMDG would consider offering DXT3 textures for the model. The textures currently offered are cumbersome and cause pauses when loading in spot view or wing views. I've tried converting them to DXT3 textures and it does help. Both Level D Simulations and Dreamfleet offer the options of lighter DXT3 textures or heavier ones. I want smoothness and performance, I don't like the pauses when textures load.My rig is a P4 3.2 ghz 1 gig ram and Radeon X800 Pro 256 gb ram Lee
