So, with the PMDG 747v3 around the corner, I started thinking: How do you get the most out of PMDG addons? I'm just wondering how everyone takes advantage of the extensive features put in place by PMDG. I usually fly short hops in the 777 and NGX, but I feel that, somehow, I'm not taking full advantage of what I could use, and that I'm barely scratching the surface of what each aircraft has to offer.

  3. Hello, Since the 747 v3 project is wrapping up a lot of people are wondering what is next after the 747 v3 and 748 expansion. A suggestion I have is a plane that hasn't been done since 2010 and is a popular long haul jet that has been in use for upwards of 20 years. This is the only boeing plane that has not been done as a high quality add on. Yes I am talking about the famous 767. The 767 has had a staple on aviation for its entire lifetime and is popularly used on long and short haul routes. The 767 I think would be perfect for the PMDG team especially the 767-400. If you do not know the 767-400 has never been done and its cockpit is essentially was the test platform f…

Dear devs! I am among your customers who is really looking forward to the release of your new product. I fly exclusively in VR using flyinside for the HTC Vive. I was wondering if you have tested your product with Flyinside and checked for compatability? I was reading the feature list in the post of 30th of Jan 2017, and among the features was a product internal camera view with shake. This is the feature that worries me the most because I have no idea how you went about making this new camera feature, and therefor don't know if it is compatible or not. I recently spent 140 Euros on a competing product, only to find out that a major component of that product was incom…

Good Morning guys! Really excited about the release of the 747... can't wait to try it! Just a quick one for your guys... any way, so far, to export the flight plans from PFPX to the FMS of the 747 like we do on the 777? Some flights are really long so the route uplink really helps hehehe Thanks a lot and good luck with the release!

Heute sind wir gebunden München! I woke up this morning to find a new beta build in my inbox. The house was quiet, and I thought why not? I went through the process of deleting my old build, installing the new one and updating my liveries. Then I was happily sat on the FedEx apron at Drew Park cargo in Tampa. It was still early and the mall and traffic to my right was quiet. The fans and recircs were humming and I tweaked the FD temp ever so slightly- it would be a good morning. Being a huge fan of Orbx, FlyTampa and Taxi2Gate, and I having not flown into Munich for quite some time, I thought why not? The nice thing about flying toasters, is that it's completel…

Hello there!, I am looking for a program, and or a log where it records gate departure, door closed, T/O time, etc. I am wondering if theres a way FSUIPC can do that through a log or the NGX has that itself. The main reason i want that is because on my PFPX OFP it doesnt give me EST and i like to know the ACT of alll those events. If anyone knows anything of the sort in this forum please lead me to it! Thank You

  8. Hello guys, In Kyle's video which showed the options in the upcoming 744v3, you can see the option for the revised or original fuel system. I am curious to what is the differrence, mechanical and/or operational? Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)

  9. I would just like to say (considerably late) to the PMDG team that I am absolutely in awe with the 777. Working with the 773 in real life, and coming home only to feel still present in it's glory is just an amazing feeling. I've been with the simming world for 10 years and for the first time, I truly understood " As real as it gets " with your products. Anyway, enough kissing. My first Long Haul with the 777-300ER in my own livery (and first for PMDG!).

Thinking of investing in the Navigraph Charts Cloud program to solve some of the problems with trying to find up-to-date navigational charts, expecially for "other than U.S.". Flight Aware does a pretty good job on US charts, but I have been doing more international flying with my PMDG 777,and the charts always seem out of date, bad waypoint names etc. The only thing slowing me down is the cost @64.90 euro! They do give credit for my unused data subscription, but it's still a significant amount for a yearly plan. Anyway, just looking for someone to confirm that it might be a good/bad idea? Thanks,

Okay with all the commotion about the 744v3 and all the hype, what about all the 737ngx users that have waiting patiently (me) for an update that was talked about months ago. I'm just wondering if that will be released with the 744v3 at the same time or will we have to wait for another couple of months? Thank you

Hi there, I've been watching Kyle's video review of the Queen, where he nicely explains all the configuration options that we will be able to choose. It's all clear, apart from two of the simulation options, mentioned around the 44min mark in the video. -A/T flare Idle override -High idle on flare I only have the NGX, which doesn't have them. No triple 7 for me, so if it's in there as well, that's why I'm not familiar with it. My question is, what do these options do? They are not company options, as they are in the simulation "group" in the fmc. From what I understand their goal is to overcome some shortcomings of the sim regarding the various possible i…

I've been watching for a while now (and waiting until it seemed a sure thing) about Boeing starting conversions on the 737NG series to freighter configurations. It does now appear a certainty as I believe the first ones are due to be delivered this fall or winter (if not sooner). I'll provide links to my main sources below. It would appear as though the 737-800BCF is a done deal, and from what I can see on Boeing's site, it looks also like the -700 will have a "C" designation ("Convertible"). So for us freight guys, this is good news. For folks who paint, PMDG (via their paint kit) has actually made it quite easy to repaint any of the NGX's to look like a freighter. W…

Let me start by saying I have been a customer since day one, although I have never really participated in the forum activity, and I do believe your products have been the best on the market for many many years. So, I'm not trying to whine about something pretty irrelevant, but I thought I could give my personal feedback and see if anybody share the same feelings. I think the arming/disarming feature on the B777 is great and adds on to the realism. I'm sure you will be maintaining the feature in the upcoming B747. What I find a bit annoying is having to arm/disarm every single door and the fact the door needs to be cycled (opened and closed) before being re-armed. Real wo…

With the upcoming release of the 747v3, I am now thinking of abandoning FSX:SE (For good) and moving to P3D, I understand I will have to repurchase the 777 (I do not mind at all), my question is, is that will the current 777 P3D license cover P3Dv4 (If v4 and when V4 is released)?

Since the message is written when opening the installation icon, I will attach it. --------------------------- PMDG 747-400X for FSX --------------------------- NOTAM: Your FSX Version is more recent than FSX SP1. Please see the PMDG customer support forum if you experience problems with any versions newer than these! --------------------------- I entered an e-mail address, order and name, but I can not be authenticated. Hello, I'm not sure if this Forum is right for the issue but let's try. I made a new full new setup of my machine. Win 10 64bit Pro, P3D v2.5 PMDG 777 and TrackIR (TrackIR 4 device and Software 5.4.2.) (plus some more addons) After starting the sim with default airplane I can start TrackIR and it works fine. When PMDG 777 is loaded (initially) and I start TrackIR it doesn't work. TrackIR Software shows no recognition on P3D. When I start TrackIR before the sim and I load PMDG777 it works. As I somehow start TrackIr on later stage of the flight and on approach I don't want to stress system with Software running without needed. Any Idea or ever h…

Morning all, Someone is planning a major upgrade to their setup in anticipation of a certain product seemingly soon to be released...no prizes for guessing. Before I sink thousands into it, can someone riddle me this-do PMDG products function fine within P3D Pro Plus, do they function fine within a multichannel environment, and am I going to need two or more licenses? I assume the answers, in order are yes, don't know, and probably, but is someone who know more than I able to comment? Thanks, Alex Brand

  21. Hello all In anticipation for the 744 release I have been doing a little bit of YouTubing and watching the excellent beta videos that have been uploaded. I do have one question which I would normally look up in the FCOM, but unfortunately I haven't got a copy of it. What on Earth is the barber pole that sits on the flight deck coaming directly in front of both pilots? It seems to show up during the takeoff roll then closes off once airborne. Can somebody help me scratch this itch? It has been about 4-5 years since I flew the 747 on FS so am now totally unfamiliar with the type again. Thanks in advance

Hey everyone, I do get a lot of my information from wikipedia in regards to many things but, this got me puzzed. The maximum range for 400F according to Boeing has various options ranging anywhere from 2825nm @ Max gross takeoff weight all the way up to 4400nm. The numbers stated on wiki are 2825nm. Any ideas what the PMDG 747-400F is going to have? I guess this question is more of a question for beta testers and developers. Thanks for all the help and info ahead of time - Konstantin

Hello. Really looking forward to the 747, I cant stop looking at previews! I am proficient with the NGX and the 777, so my question ( as I imagine others will want answering ) is how will the systems transition be? Obviously it isn't as automated as the 777, but is there a lot to learn? Or should it be fairly easy? keep up the good work! Will Travis

  24. Captains, It brings me great pleasure to let you know that we have set a release schedule in motion for the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II I will have quite a bit more to say in the coming days, as my workload related to development tasks is finally beginning to wind down a bit- but the team has been discussing release dates for about four weeks now, and we finally have one that we are comfortable that we will make. I am not going to give you any further information other than to tell you that it is more than a week away, and before Christmas Eve, 2017. (Yes- we will tell you the exact date ahead of time... We just want to make sure we clear the last…
