Just a quick query; I'm wondering whether the price of the new 747 for P3D is on special offer at the moment and will it go up to a 'normal' price at some point ? I'd like to get it, but I'm just working out the budget and whether I can wait a few weeks. This is a simple and genuine question to PMDG. Please, no sarcasm about their pricing policy from other forum users - thank you. :smile:

I'd like to know, considering the prices for P3D (justified in my opinion), what kind of free updates are included for the future P3D versions. For example "Updates guaranteed up to v3.x or 4.x and so on". On the shop page you only write "*Product tested with Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v2.4-v3.x. Hey guys, Does anyone remember Boeing's Tiger Lounge proposal for the 747? It turned a lower cargo deck into a lounge...ala 377. It never came to fruition, but it was an interesting idea. I wonder if the 747-8BBJ brings back that concept. If I'm not mistaken, PSA did something similar during their with their L1011, which was unfortunately unsuccessful. Have to say tho, the Tiger Lounge was 'shagadelic'...note the central table is a viewable window looking down, as there are no other windows on the lower deck. Hey PMDG, can we have some 747-8 (BBJ) options like a 'Tiger Lounge' for the -8 EXP :Big Grin: ? Cheers TJ

First off, thanK you for another great product PMDG. You guys continue to raise the bar with each new product y'all release. I was wondering with this new 744, would you guys be making some of the workings compatible like in the PMDG 777. I think it was in the 2nd Service Pack y'all did...was wondering when with the 744? Hello, just a quick question here - is it possible to install one FSX licence of 744 on two computers (laptop and desktop) at the same time? Will it work, or the second instalation will de-activate the first one? It would be quite handy. Best regards, Pavel Brodsky

Good Morning, Just a (hopefully) quick question for repainters. I'm planning on doing some repaints for the new 747-400. Unfortunately I'm one of the ones suffering from the skeleton front half of the aircraft when in the Preview/Details pane. I normally use that to check/confirm how my paint is going and if I need to make any adjustments. It's only once I get almost to the very end do I actually load the aircraft. This visual issue of course, precludes doing that, so I'm wondering if this is the same method you guys use, or if you have another way of checking the results of your paints as you go along. I'm using Photoshop if that makes a difference. Thanks very m…

So, was just trying to replicate my real-world flight from ORD-SFO in the new QOTS II. I was flying the DYAMD3 arrival into SFO just like the tutorial. However, instead of choosing 28R, I flew the ILS into RWY28L as we did in real life. I know it doesn't look challenging, but I had to end up going around because of an unstabilized approach. After realizing I wasn't going to be at 1800 by the FAF, I kicked it into VS mode to try and make it but I couldn't get it down in time. I saw a picture somewhere of this airline in a right-hand turn onto runway 13, and I just had to recreate it. I'm loving this bird so much. (I took this screen shot while I was using instant replay so the wing flex is borked.)

I have not used a simulator for about a year and a half as I am working on getting a new PC (hopefully by July). I have some experience with complex aircraft back when I was using fs9 such as the pmdg md-11, ifly 737, and the maddog md80. I know the basics (how to use the fmc for example) and know how to use pfpx. what I didn't learn where things like the cockpit flows and procedures for starting the engines. surprisingly the one exception to that would be the maddog md-80. it took a bit of time, but back when I was using it, I knew how to start up the aircraft, and fly a flight plan all the way to shutdown. the main reason for that is because by default, the maddog start…

The FMC is showing an Airac cycle 1309 Aug22/Sep18/13. However the NAVDATA folder contents show Airac cycle 1702 (02/Feb/2017-01/Mar/2017) Is the wrong NAVDATA being loaded into the FMC? Any help appreciated Ron

I loaded the Queen into Prepar 3d 3.4 upon release yesterday and it opened up just fine the first time and I was able to activate it and look around the beautiful handiwork. I noticed there were no sounds in the cockpit so I thought I would restart it and try again. Once i restarted, it now wouldn't initialize. I have tried un-installing the Queen and re-installing the queen to no avail. After many tries I loaded it up and randomly everything works!! I enjoyed the wonderful simulation for a bit but by then it is late and time for bed. This morning fire it up and you guessed it, it won't initialize. No keyboard input will control anything on the airplane in real time…

Good morning, I was working on a livery for a Cargo VA but could not figure out how to change the registration decal in the cockpit just below the gear lever. It was not mentioned in the paintkit readme. Maybe I missed something.

Hi there, When I activate GSX while the service vehicles are active, they disappear. Why is the 747v3 service fleet incompatible with GSX? Or am I doing something wrong? If the former, that should have been found by the beta testers, right? Thanks in advance. :smile:

So two things I just noticed on this flight. I tried to add a Step climb in the Legs page and go invalid entries. (Tried the two variants that are allowed in the 74 ie 320S or /320S) And the second was kinda disturbing. Gross weight 349.4 OAT +1 the aircraft pitched down about 2.5 degrees to accelerate but it was still climbing at 500 fpm.

PMDG outdid themselves with both the exterior model and virtual cockpit of this airplane, it's absolutely stunning.

Hello everyone, My question is quite general but I only fly PMDG in my FSX:SE. I am using the Saitek Yoke with quadrant (ordering another quadrant for the Queen). I only use it manually when taxiing and take off, after TOGA push it 100% and that is it until about 50ft from touch down I disconnect the auto throttle and idle. When I use MD11 I just wait until auto throttle disconnect and then idle the throttle. I want to do it manually during landing but it is quite hard since I still don't have the feeling of the quadrant yet. How about you? Cheers! Hoang Le

Hello Everyone, I was trying to figure out how I can create a new airframe, but it is not clear to me on how to do that when reading the introdcution.pdf (yes, I do read manuals) The idea: FSX 747-400 is loaded with the airframe N744PM. I decided to make a few changes. Now I want to save them those changes to another yet non-existing airframe OO-KPM How do I manage that ? So how do I create - if possible - a new airframe from within the FMC ? and if not possible from FMC how else ? The manual states airframes that exists, how to change them but (or I completely am missing this) not on how to create it. Please advice kind regards, Dieter

Do we need to install this hotfix for PMDG products? Seems to deal with SLI issues. There is a warning... "Please be aware that some third developers might have to update their add-ons to be compatible with the hotfix. Please contact the third party developers directly for any compatibility questions."

Should I be able to open PDF documents in the Operations Center? I have all the Adobe updates and can open them fine from the PMDG file. No big deal but I have wondered if I'm missing something.
