The NWS Aviation Weather Center (AWC) has begun production of the Traffic Flow Management (TFM) Convective Forecast (TCF). TCF is a high-confidence graphical representation of forecasted convection meeting specific criteria of coverage, intensity, and echo top height. The TCF is used by air traffic management decision makers in support of convective weather mitigation strategies within the National Airspace System. The TCF may be accessed at http://www.AviationWeather.gov/tcf. A training package may be found at http://tfmlearning.fly.faa.gov/. what exactly is this? weather +density of air traffic?

Everytime I start FSXSE, I get an error saying that FSX detected a problem with a third-party software. Name: PMDGOptions Dynamic Link Library Version: 10,0,61355,54 Company: Unknown File: PMDG\DLLs\PMDGOptions.dll Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I saw a fix in the Steam forums say this: Got it working. I deleted this key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers] "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\FSX\\fsx.exe"="$ IgnoreFreeLibrary<PMDGOptions.dll> HIGHDPIAWARE" But I cant for the life of me figure out how to do that. Anyone got suggestions?

Dear PMDG staff, Now that we are have been spoiled with the new 747-400 sound pack is there any chance of doing the same with the 737 and 777 ? I very much love the engine fade-out effect when it climbs passed FL140 . Would love to see that in the other products as well. Cheers, Rick Melcher

Hi Guys, I’m wondering if anybody out there on Avsim could answer this Question for me. I have a Gateway computer 2.93 MHz and 12 Gb of Memory with a GeForce GTX 760 Graphic card 2GB GDDRS5. I just bought the Pmdg 747-400 V3 and I’m afraid I am running out of memory every flight. I can get a flight in if I back off the Graphic card just a bough all the way but then everything looks terrible. I am thinking of investing on a new Graphic card but the one I’m looking at 1080 is too rich for this old retired fellow. Could somebody direct me to a card a tad cheaper that will handle the 747-400 V3 and my Orbx Scenery? Without having to back off all my slider in FSteam …

Will any VAS saving options be added to the Ops center for the QotS2 like the low res VC textures for the NGX and the lower sound settings in the 777? FYI I'm not having any VAS issues other than what you'd expect from a 32bit sim

Hi, Not sure if Im doing something wrong but every flight now I get an engine 3 and then engine 4 failure while on the descent. Has happened in three different flights, three different aircraft but always on descent. Ive now switched off random failures but this must be a bug or am I flying her wrong?? thanks Cathal

I wasn't sure I wanted to buy the Queen. since long flights are not something I care to do, but this is such a great plane. I had the original Queen and managed to find some shorter routes. Still seeing some SFO to LAX flights for one. I bought the QOTSII and quickly did a UA 525 flight just now. Had a couple minor issues, most likely my fault, and I can't the RASS volume to stay up, but overall it was great. The sounds are so awesome. And my speed! Gotta love a 145 tail wind, lol. Yes my cost index was low. I should have bumped it up and my ground speed would have been even more crazy.

Hi all, I just wanted to comment on the fantastic job the PMDG team have done on the new QOTSv2. I use FSX and have just flown from Bangkok to Alice Springs. I used sim-brief for the flight plan and weather brief; all loaded into the plane seamlessly. I used an on-line fuel planner which got the fuel load just right. This is the first time I have flown a complete flight without a freeze or stutter or OOM issues. I reinstalled FSX about a week ago and left every add-on off except for AS16 which I use for the 747's weather radar. I have now come to the conclusion that all of the scenery addons I was using were contributing to the stutters, freezes and OOM problems I w…

So whenever I select the Honeywell MCP on the PMDG 737 (all models) there is a red borderline around the warning buttons. This only happens when I turn the panel lights on and I select the honeywell MCP. The Collins one is fine. It is a lot more visible at night and when you zoom in or go closer it starts to disappear. Thank you in advance. (Im running the latest version of P3D V3)

Hello, I have searched the forum/google and found that many people having problem displaying ground lights(taxi,landing,runway lights) when using PMDG aircrafts. I want to open a topic to discuss about it, since it probably not an issue with the aircraft because it does show...sometimes. At some airports all the lights show normally inside and outside (PACSIM Taipei), some airports it only show runway and landing lights but not taxi light (Flightbeam KSFO), and others does not show at all (Flytampa EHAM-totally dark in and outside of the aircraft). Hi All, I've noticed over the past two days that performance of my sim when flying the new PMDG 747 v3 is grinding to an - almost - halt. start the sim off and performance is fine, however start to see some freezes of up to 20 seconds at a time during set up of the aircraft. as time goes on, the freezes are still around 20 seconds, but the frequency increases so much so that the take off roll can last up to 4 minutes! it's basically unusable. Nothing's changed on my system except the installation of the Atlas B74F since i started noticing these performance issues. When I bought the plane last weekend, it ran ok (not as reliable as the 777 or 737 mind you). …

This applies to both the 747 and 777, so I am posting here in the General Forum. Can someone shed some light regarding hands on throttle / control during a 747 or 777 takeoff roll? I have watched my fair share of flight deck youtube videos. On takeoff, it seems that some operators maintain different SOPs. Sometimes, I see the PF increase the throttles to roughly 50% N1 or whatever for the initial spool up, and then click TOGA and follow the servos to the proper thrust set position. They hold their hands on the throttles until V1. To me, that makes total sense. They are flying. Flying requires the yoke, rudder, and throttles. If they have to abort pre-V1, so be it. Th…

Hi guys, I recently bought a new case for my pc (NZXT S340), but after I put my components in the new case I got very low FPS on FSX. I get 20fps when I use the default planes and 5 fps when I use the PMDG 747 V2, there also black vertical lines appearing.. Before I moved my components to the new case I was able to get around 60fps on the PMDG 747v2 with ORBX Global + Vector. So I thought that my GPU was dying so I bought a new GPU a MSI GTX1050 TI and reinstalled Windows 10 and FSX, but after I did that I still have the same problem: 5 fps with the PMDG 747v2 and this was without any add-on scenery installed. Hi to all, do I have to uninstall the old 747-400X version before installing the Queen of the Skies version II or is it possible to have them installed side by side? I'm asking this because I'm currently quite happy with my setup of the 747-400X and i don't want to lose this until feeling comfortable with the new version. I'm used to flying the 747-400X in the 2D-cockpit with all panels undocked onto several monitors. I guess this won't work anymore with the new bird since I expect that it comes with a virtual 3D-cockpit only. Any help appreciated. Best regards draci

One thing I've noticed with PMDG planes is when on autopilot, the input to the ailerons is very abrupt. Like, from zero to full deflection when starting a turn. Can something be put in the code to make it a much more gradual deflection as in real life? I'm sure the mechanics would appreciate not having to change out the aileron actuators so often!

Hello Today for the third time I´ve got a very strange problem. I tried to load the 747 in P3D V3 and it loaded extremly slowly and did not finished the loading process. It ends im some kind of freeze. What I have noticed it that the FPS during this process were extremely low 1,5! Normally evrything works fine with around 30 FPS. PC Restart, driver reinstall or older drivers install, cfg rebuilt, back to HF2 (P3D) and the latest fsuipc reinstall didn´t solve the problem. Once I´ve got the issue I can´t stop it. Only a reinstall of the 747 and deleting the 747 folder in in the PMDG root folder before solve the problem. But as I already have said meanwhile I´ve go…

I bought a 737-200 from 2 different payware outfits and neither work properly . It's just good money after bad with 1/2 these outfits and unless it's A2A or PMDG i've just about had it with buying from any body else but them. If i have to wait a year more for the DC6 so be it.
