On my new system I intend to install P3D and also FSX SE (using PMDG aircraft) will both platforms operate succesfully and is there any advice that is relevant to installing both platforms? Clive Alexander

Hello friends, now that we have 747v3, the 737NGx and the modern and wonderful 777, how about a different aircraft? How about the wonderful and passionate 727? I'm sure many people here share this idea, after all the only thing available is the one "made by the captain" that sucks A 727 made by you, would be greatly appreciated, since the last one really good, is so old that it divided the skies with pterodactyls To have a version of this incredible aircraft would be epic, starting from the classic model with INS up to the current ones updated with FMC and systems in general, that still are much used for cargo, what you think?

I was testing a new Lufthansa paint and decided to land in some marginal weather after she passed the paint inspection. Found KCDC having some bad weather so I took of from KPHX just south and flew there. I was pretty happy with the approach into 20, and had the Terrain map on because of the mountainous area I was flying into. HI folks, This is something that has been gnawing at me for sometime, and the reason I bring this up in the General Forum is that I have noticed this in all PMDG a/c (NGX, 777, 747v3). It also occurs in the FSL A320X, and I am sure in other payware aircraft's too. I am referring to the aircraft unable to hold altitude properly in a level turn with the Autopilot engaged. By this, let me explain. Assume I am flying at 1500', speed at maneuvering speed for current flap setting, and A/P at SPD, HDG, ALT HOLD. My mouse cursor is constantly flickering between the normal "arrow" and "working in background" when I have loaded n PMDG 737. I have tried many solution but with now success. I restarted the pc, but that didn't work. When I load a NON PMDG aircraft the flickering disappears. I am using the EVGA NVIDA 1060 6GB Graphics Cards i7 CPU with 32GB RAM and a resolution of 5760 X 1080 (3 Monitors in Total) Anyone had this happen before, or know how to stop it?

Hi everyone, When I do long flights, I usually like to turn off the sound in the sim when I get to cruise (by pressing "Q") so that I can check on my flight and not have the noise of the engines fill my headphones suddenly when I switch back into the sim. I have noticed that when I do this for a long time (usually on flights of 4+ hours), the cockpit noises are gone when I turn the sound back on. That is, in the cockpit, I can still hear the engines, but can't hear any of the noises such as the flap handle moving, the autopilot disconnect alarm, callouts etc. In the external views, all the noises work just fine. My HD crashed on me and I have to reinstall to new computer but I lost my details and reset emails are not being received so completely stuck. Ive set up a new email for support but how do I access my purchases please? thanks john hewson

I am running PDMG 747 QOTS II for FSX on a Windows 10 64-bit PC. I fired up ProcessExplorer out of curiosity for the first time to see my VAS use. In the help I'd found online re PE, it said that FSX.exe would be near the top of the list in VAS use. However, on mine, I have a whole lot of processes above fsx.exe. I have a screenshot but can't see how to upload it into my post to show you what I mean. I've tried copy\paste, etc so not sure how to add pic attachments. fsx.exe is 2,473,464K but above that are about 30 processes using about 2,147,583,000 K approximately. Is this normal for a Windows 10 machine and its background processes? Thanks.

Hi all, Been all over the place (literary) trying to solve this issue my 777 and 744 is always left of track, doesn't follow the FMS track at all and headings are out by 25deg on 100nm on my FSTramp I can see myself miles away from where I should be and where I should be going the moment I get airborne, my AC starts drifting let of track ( see pic ) my 737-600/700/800/900 is 100% im using win10-64 with P3D V3 AIRAC's and MAG DEC all updated, IRS fully aligned Where do I start looking

Fellow Captains, I created a package with EZDOK profiles for the passenger versions of the following PMDG aircraft: * MD-11 * 737 NGX * 747-400X * 777-200LR * 777-300ER - They all include walkaround , cabin and cockpit jumpseat views. - The 747-400X profile may be practical as a starting point for an EZDOK profile for the new PMDG 747 v3. Hi everyone & kudos to the team at PMDG for the recreation of the 747- QOTS! I couldn't help but comment and complement here- after trying hard to stay away from the redeployment of the QOTS from PMDG as I expected them to undertake a new project - they've done justice to a beauty of an airliner. I got the PMDG 747 after all the back n forth last weekend and spent one weekend understanding the package for FSX, tweaking and working around to have an optimization for my system. I have a couple of questions about the 747 simulation regarding a few things that have been absent from most addon aircraft in general. 1. I notice with the 737 (777 doesnt count as fbw would prevent this) there is no noticeable pitch up from thrust increase or flap deployment, does the 747 simulate this? 2. I only know of one addon that simulates this, just released last year, but do the engines on the 747 get quieter as the air gets thinner at high altitude? You should not even be able to hear them at all above around FL200. Hearing the 737 and 777 engines roaring away at cruise kills the immersion and I usually turn down engine sound manually at cruise. …

Good day, I updated the QOTS Ii yesterday and after I restarted the system, couldn't flip a single switch, landing gear was up and MFD's are all blank. I went to all Simconnect folders to reinstall but still have the same issues. Everything I've searched on avsim points to this. I am on P3Dv3 Windows 7 Gtx 980M 32Gb ram.

Is there a way to save configurations? Each time that I have flown the B747-400ER for P3D, I have had to put in the options every time. Also, even though I click on v1 and vr callouts, I do not hear them called. How do I remedy this? Thanks

Are there any plans to have a browser version of the PMDG FMC kinda like what FSlabs did for their A320? This would allow anyone with a tablet or ipad to access the FMC via web browser essentially using the tablet/ipad as a touchscreen FMC. Right now the best thing out there is Virtual CDU from Virtual Avionics but the support for it has been nonexistent for a good few months now it seems. -Lee Alexander

I just updated my OC today to version 1.17.15. The change log refers to 03-14-2017 and the DC-6 appears in the 'Select a Product'. However, every time I open the OC I get an error message. I'm able to 'OK' it and it disappears and the OC will open. The message reads; "PMDG Operations Centre: PMDG Operations Centre.exe - Bad Image C\Program File (x86)pmdg operations centre \ product module DC6XSE.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. With the patience of Mother Theresa and the worried attentions of an English nanny over the last couple of days KYLE ROGERS of the PMDG Support Staff has kept me from opening my veins and slumping over my computer. With the introduction of our new 747-400 I had the same problems as many of you but after several attempts something recommended by Kyle finally worked and even I am not sure what it was. For those of you who may still be suffering from these varied problems don't give up. PMDG has some of the best support I ever seen. Use it! File a support ticket and you'll see. Hi there, Some days ago, I posted about reality impressions in PMDG products and asked opinions from maybe real pilots. I was interested in getting feedback about systems and real procedures fidelity as I have purchased all of the PMDG products and I would like to center in one of them for learning procedures. Let me start this off by saying that this is really really odd and I'm not serious about this so please don't flame me for this. If you are annoyed by this style of stupidity/oddity then please go back to the general forum. Let the suggestion begin :D I have heard Mr Randazzo say that he hates being fingerprints on dials and screens in FlightDecks so here is a really dumb and random idea; Make a virtual rag that you can use in your products (that are currently sold) to clean the screens of our virtual flight decks. And perhaps clean up some of the other gunk in the aircraft such as worn paint and grime around different areas of the flight deck…

Hi, I want to update the 747 to the latest version 3.00.8189 (from 3.00.8132), but the download always fails. Generally, I have no internet connection problems whatsoever, and the computer is a pure P3D Flight Sim PC without any AntiVir programs. hi. I have a problem setting up a bearing/distance waipoint in the flight plan approach on LOWI airport. here is what i did: i hit on INN on legs page to copy it in scratchpad . than added 264/+6 so it looks like: INN264/+6, and putted it under the org INN waipoint and becomes INN01. BUT... the bearing is 275 on the legs page and shows also on the ND where it is almort in the path of the runway tried an other bearing like 200 but still keeps setting it on 275 beering ... is this a bug ?? or.... has somebody als this problem ? please help..
