Does the domestic model simply have a lower take off weight? I can still load 300,000Ibs of fuel into the tanks which seems insane for a 400D and the only thing stopping me is that I'll be overweight? Is this how it's supposed to be modeled? -Angelo Busato

Hi all, I am looking to buy a new computer and wanted to know what the general consensus is (if there is one) regarding NVidia versus AMD video cards. I've only ever used NVidia, so I have no idea how well AMD video cards work or how easy they are to tune in order to get the best possible graphics for FSX. All comments/advice welcome! Edit: I am posting here as I am pretty much solely using PMDG products and want to know how the AMD video cards handle the complexities of FSX and in particular, PMDG products.

Hi I have the PMDG 747 and using PFPX for my flight plans, I have set up the 747 as per the tutorial as to regards fuel reserves/Cost Index/ assumed temperature ,and so on, but my aircraft is not responding to my flight plan altitudesI. have both LNav and Vnav on, Centre CMD on Anyone got any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I'm not sure if it's correlated to the install of the 747 v3 or I just never noticed but recently I've noticed I cannot load any rwys or sids/stars in the FMC at least from these airports that i've noticed so far KORD, CYVR, UUEE, ZGGG I know for sure i've flown into CYVR and UUEE in the past with PMDG aircraft and I had no issues. I've never updated airacs on my machine nor buy any new navdata and I've never had issues. I've searched online for solutions and as suggested i've deleted the rwy dat file in the NAVDATA PMDG folder and let it rebuild I've run makerwys.exe as well but neither of these resulted in a fix. I have a flightplan from RouteFinder (http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/) from LPPT - EGLL - airac cycle is the latest 1704. But for me it's very strange. Could you please explain to me why they want me to turn to west-south and then turn north? It looks as a very long journey and it makes no sense to me. The screen, which I prepared is from ProATC but in the PMDG FMC the plan looks the same. Where is an issue? For instance when I make a plan from EGLL to LPPT it looks OK - very straight and short way. The difference between these two flightplans is almost 800 nm - so huge distance I think. Any ideas?

After having to reinstall all my FSX products after a computer crash, I have found out I can't update or get liveries because I don't have an 'online' copy. Is it possible to get access to the updated version, or the PMDG Ops Centre to download liveries? I purchased a boxed copy of the PMDG 737 NGX back in May 2013, and have been happily been flying since then. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Hello All, First off the plane is amazing! It does what it is supposed to do if you know how to fly it!! My question is performance related. I have flown the cojones off this thing since she was released but i have noticed one issue with it and i was wondering if you all could potentially shed some light on the situation! Flight #1 N581UP Paint PHNL(FSDT)-KONT(Addon) Left PHNL with no issue, about 3 hours into the flight over the ocean well short of landfall i noticed my VAS was creeping up in the high 80s low 90s OVER WATER! Hi you guys, I bought a PMDG 747 queen of skies 2 last night (I was in china) via the payment of paypal. since then the order status was "pending", but the paypent status was "paid". I checked my paypal account and my emailbox, I am pretty sure the payment was completed. Why it shows pending and I never get my product? Have you guys ever met such a problem? What should I do now? thanks a lot. I like the addon so much I cant wait to install and play with it.

I'm trying to re-install the 747 and it's asking for the product id. Is that the serial no., if not where on the invoice is it located. I have no e-mail saved.

Hi, @PMDG: do you consider to bring the 747 to X-Plane after migrating the DC 6 from X-Plane to P3D. (I am looking to use a new platform and I am not happy with p3d. X-Plane 11 seems quite promissing. One other alternative would be the new sim from dovetail games but I have some doubts, if this will be the right platform for me).

Hi folks, I just wanted to know what the exact procedure is when one is cleared by a controller directly to a new waypoint when one is already flying in LNAV. Would you go into heading hold, wait for PM to set the new waypoint, confirm it, get him to press execute and then go into LNAV? Or would you just stay in LNAV, get him to set it/confirm/execute and just watch the aircraft turn to the new waypoint? I'm just thinking that although it is important to verify that you're going to the right place, the rigmarole of going into HDG HOLD, verifying the new point, asking PM to EXECUTE, selecting LNAV and then verifying LNAV on the FMA would be far too cumbersome, especia…

Based on route out I am suppose to climb straight ahead: However this is not what I see on ND: So I was unable to arm LNAV and had to use HDG SEL which is not a big deal but this does not look right. I have been trying to work out the conundrum of the 4k monitor for use with my PMDG A/C for FSX or P3D in less than 40" monitor size. I have been discussing with another member via pm but thought I might ask the PMDG community for their experiences. I was looking at a 28" 4k monitor with a 4k games display, and it looked great. but when the sales rep went back to the Win10 screen, the text was squished up to the left hand side. He said, yeah...normal, these monitors really are for gaming or movies and you need a second normal HD monitor for work...When we looked at a 42" 4k TV, as a monitor, this was a lot better.
