i just dowloaded active camera v2.1 and wanted to try demo (KSEA area)and can't get to work in VC mode. i heard the product works well with PMDG products. can anyone set me straight as to what i may be doing wrong?:)

HiI installed PMDG 747...all the latest updates...I use Windows Vista...The installation happened okay and I can see the plane on the tarmac also. But when I go to the PMDG tab and choose anything such as options, save or load...I get a blank screen. I cannot view the options menu to make changes. I know the menu is present cause I can see the mouse icon change when I move it across the screen, but the menu is not viewable.PLEASE HELP!!!BHAVIN SHAH

I've amassed quite a few hours on the queen and i'm pretty familiar with all the systems and the FMC. Last weekend I was on a PANC-VHHH flight and per the weather report we recieved it looked like we would be landing west 250, but given FS ATC's propensity to go against the grain i decided i would program an alternative star for RNWY 70 in Rte 2. So i pulled up the "RTE" page and selected RTE 2, I then went to the legs page and entered the waypoints for the new star, then I tried to execute it and nothing happened. hey all been a while since I logged so I read as much as I could for updated info regarding PDMG products e.g. mainly 747 X and the NGX for 737 line. first off let me say I applaud you for continued support for Flight simulator. I have been a continued supporter since 737 NG came out in FS9 and will continue to be once 747 X comes out. I read a bit down the forum but couldnt really grasp or find any real info regarding the release date of the 747-400 X for FSX and the NGX version of 737 line.Please oh please when is going to be released lol. Level D 767 for FSX has been able to maintain their use of the Aerosoft 747 MCP. Is there something unique about the PMDG 747 for SFX that is making it not possible to be used in the FSX version?Thanks in advance,Tom

HI Eveyonestill wondering how i can install the pmdg 737 and 747 in the vistajust got FSX, and the right rams and speed, and it s just great. but i m missing the pmdg heavies. can anyone write me back here the how to...i tried every possible installation with adminitrator and user etc etc it just did not work for me . I run a Vista home edition, dual core 2.4, nvidia 8800GTS. other add ons are okay so far. i read some posts here where some folks are already running the 747 way before any update. Does anyone know how to fix the button problem on the NG FMC?All the buttons are down one row so the "0" shows up as an "8".Jon

I have a couple of the PMDG aircraft and I fly my 737-800 all the time. Because I get much better framerates, I seldom install the VC, thus, I am unable to access the OHD flood lights. Consequently, because of my 60yo eyes, night flying becomes difficult for me, using the lighting provided for the 2D panel. Is there a way of installing other lighting or accessing the OHD Floodlight switch from the 2D panel?Jon

I just wiped out my flight sim disk, after thinking I had backed it up. I have no backups, but I DO have all the source media to rebuild it.My question is - can I install the PMDG 737 and have it recognize licensing from the registry, or must I work through the help channels here to get my old/new license key.I'm trying to avoid suicidal thoughts at the moment.

Hi, Richard announced that the first set of the SID/STARS for the PMDG's will be ready with cycle 0708. But he also said that it will take 2-3 airacs to achive good quality without errors/bugs. Jan-Paul

Works fine in my 737-6/700 but not the 800/900.When you select your flap setting in the FMC and then verify your ref speeds, as soon as you set flaps to anything 1-40 the FMC spd rest in the 3L of the CLB page shows 0. As soon as you set flaps to up, it shows the 250/10000 like normal. In the 600/700 the 3L shows the rest speed for the appropriate flap setting.When you take off and select VNAV after 1000 ft, the plane stalls if you have not reached your flaps up speed because in the FMC it is set to 0.I do not recall it doing this on my old PC with XP pro (i am going to verify) and i am runing VISTA now.

I've come to the conclusion that the top of descent computed by the flight management computer is the absolute last point a descent should start. Otherwise, starting down 10 miles earlier makes life a whole lot easier. I've decided to quit fighting the battle of VNAV descents, always descending too fast, grabbing for speed brakes etc.. The descent is so much better managed when I use VS or FLT CHG and use my head to calculate the appropriate descent angle. Anyone know what the real airline pilots do?Curt

Just got a new laptop running 32 bit Vista. The 737 -900 installed just fine but the 744 didn't. Went to FAQ and did as was suggested running the set up file from the CD as administrator and then going to "compatability" and then running it as 2000 and as an Administrator. Neither worked. Any ideas?Gerry

Several questions about that:- The Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition was announced during March 07 but I can't find any reviews of that thing. hello,the problem is that only the default repaints can be loaded for the 737NG series, any others. They don't even show up in the drop-down list. Of course the liveries are correctly installed and the aircraft.cfg is correct as well.Thank you.Robert

I just bought the PMDG 747-400, but when I load the plane with any livery, the EFIS screens go black 1 or 2 seconds after the plane is loaded. I can program the FMC and the flight director still works, but all three CRTs become black.Is there anything I can do?Regrds,Yvan Ung

Can anyone tell me how to convert the PSD files in the PMDG 747-400 paintkit to a form compatible with the standard forms used in the 747-400 texture folders? Maybe there is a save type I should use. I've tried converting them using ImageTool to bmp files, and while that method worked with the PMDG 737NG, it doesn't seem to be acceptable for the PMDG 747. I've also tried converting them using DXTBmp, but I haven't had success with that method so far either.

Hello Captains,today I flew from EDDF, Runway 18 via MARUN1S SID to KLAX.The VREF30 was 180kt, TOW 385,528KGOK, the 744 accelerated only to a speed of 264kt, not 300kt for weights above 309,000KG (VREF30+100 = 280+20kt).Please refer to Boeing FCTM: Page 1.4, 1.5 for the Flaps Schedule and Page 4.2 for "Climb Speed Determination".Servus!Marc
