PMDG General Forum

  1. Captains, We pushed a minor update for Prepar3D users of the PMDG 777-200LR/F earlier this evening. The update capitalizes on some performance enhancements we worked out for both prepar3D platforms, and it adds the rolling friction model we introduced with the 747-400 earlier this year. We had a half dozen other minor items in this update that we fixed just because we had our hands on stuff, and we also corrected a bug that caused the brakes to overheat for some users in unexpected conditions... You can obtain this update via the Operations Center. We are working to publish a rollup-update for FSX/FSX-SE users. That should drop before the weekend, we…

  3. Hi all, I can imagine it's been quite difficult fitting ngx, 777 and 747 into a 32bit platform. What are some things you've wanted to to include in the past, but were simply not able to previously and what general things can we expect to see going forward in V4? Alex

Hello I do have problem. I have p3d v4 777 and 747. I open the operation center in administration mode. when I click to update any of the planes in the notification section of the operation centre the black bar down the bottom goes through really quickly and nothing happens. Does not update. Wondering if anybody knows the problem. I have uninstalled the operations centre and reinstalled it. Deleted the temp folder and the content in the roaming files.

I realized that I didn't copy all manuals for 777 for my commute reading from my PC, and tried in vain to find a downloadable copy of them. Are they available somewhere for registered users? I'm specifically looking for a T7 QRH.

Having bought a new computer primarily for P3Dv4 I'm waiting for the 737NGX to become P3Dv4 compatible before I load any aircraft into V4. My second favourite aircraft is the JS41, as its not yet P3D compatible (hint, hint) I have had to install FSX purely to fly the JS41. Might be answering my own question here but I have reinstalled the JS41 from a 'saved' Install file rather than re-downloading from my PMDG account. Although its installed successfully it hasn't installed the PMDG Operations Centre - how do I get this utility ?

I installed the Queen, 737, and the 777. When I go to take off they will roll down the runway to about forty knots, that's it. The screen shows full power and the brake is off. The other planes in the hanger are not having this problem. Dan Longano

  20. A few moments ago, we published our first x64 update to the PMDG 777-200LR/F, the first of a couple updates coming to the 777 product line. This updates the 777 within our Prepar3D product line so that you can use it in either Prepar3D v3 or Prepar3D v4. THESE NOTES ARE IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THEM: This is a complete product and installer rebuild, thus requiring that you download the entire (nearly) 900MB installer anew from your PMDG eCommerce account. I will include the installation instructions a bit lower down for those who need them. As of this version, we are still awaiting a x64 compatible RAAS module from Bryan York at JetExpress/FS2Crew. He…

I admit that selfishly I made the move to P3D v4 before most add ons being brought current to the new platform is my own fault but question on schedule. I understand the 300 is waiting on a hot fix from LM with something pertaining to the nose wheel camera. That's fine, I get that. Is there a reason why that's delaying the update to the NGX? I have exasturbated my trans-continental flying for a little while. Please don't strike me as impatient, only anxious and eager. And not totally understanding of software development. We are on the forefront of exciting times in flight simulation. Cheers

  22. I had recently bought PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II for P3D v3.4 but now I have installed P3D v4 and would like to reinstall it for v4. I don't want to uninstall P3D v3.4 because so much is still not compatible with v4, and I still need P3D v3.4 for my other scenery and aircraft I'm using. When I uninstalled PMDG 747-400 QOTS II and reinstalled it keeps on automatically placing it in my P3D v3.4 and doesn't give me the option of selecting P3D v4. Thanks.. James Stratmann
