I've got a great idea for a PMDG business jet, if they ever chose to make one: The Hawker 4000, produced by Hawker-Beechcraft. It is a super-midsized jet, and has lots of cool things. First, its fuselage is comprised primarily of carbon fiber composites; it has full autothrottle FADEC controls, and each notch of flaps tell the plane to slow itself down to a set speed; it has a full EICAS system, and uses the Honeywell Primus Epic suite. I read about it just recently in Flying Magazine, and aside from Robert Goyer's terrible use of words to embellish for a sponsor, it looks liek a very cool business jet. Hi,I've asked this question before but never got any response so I try it again. On my new system this is the only problem I'm having. Every now and then after having entered the menus several times, the screen goes black. Pressing Alt+Enter to go to windowed mode does not help. I have a tweaked FSX.cfg from www.venetubo.com. I have the UiAutomationCore.dll. I have the newest 285 drivers from NVIDIA. Maybe that's the problem? Could you please help me?Thanks!

Hi,Even though the NGX is out, I'm still flying the 747X, but I've never been able to find a good soundpack for the GE engines. I don't like the ones from Turbine Sound Studios that much (all of them are great but not of the 747GE), so I was wondering if anyone knows a good 747 GE CF6-80C2 soundpack somewhere around the net, or payware maybe? Cuz I love that engine sound, it's my favourite jet engine.Thanks!

Hi all, I have the latest AIRAC cycle but do not see any STAR's for NZQN (Queenstown) in the FMC. I installed the latest AIRAC cycle from Navigraph into the following folder: C:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ Is this correct, or should it go into a specific folder in FSX such as a PMDG-specific folder (eg there is a folder called C:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\NavData)? I appreciate any help that can be offered!

Hi,I finally have the pc now which is good enough to run high settings and the NGX, so I thought, why not start to fly online? I heard a while ago that Squawkbox is a easy to use programm, so I downloaded it and installed it. I just have a few questions about it. The getting started guide of Squawkbox is telling me to login using an air traffic controller service account? Does this mean I need a VATSIM or IVAO account? Or a specific Squawkbox account?How does real world weather work online? Do I need to run a programm like ASE or is the weather all coming from VATSIM? If so, how can I make the weather come from VATSIM? And also, do I need to set the current date in FSX to…

HiHere follows my experience with VNAV "taking over" glideslope control down to minimums. 737-600 PMDG. ENVA RWY09, final turn, LOC ON making localizer to keep heading 088. VNAV taking care of descent to RWY09. Manually adjusting flaps to dropping speed. It worked very well. VNAV seemed to do a good job. At minimums A/T off, A/P off , then followed standard visual landing. Two critical questions ....how realistic scenario is this? And is there advantage using VNAV at approach? gura75

Hi All,I have just been thinking and there is no decent A320 series sim on the market for FSX since the Wilco release which to be honest works - but is in need of a serious overhaul.Therefore, I think that there is a potential for demand in the A320 series that PMDG could exploit with their amazing knowledge and skills.Let me know what you think!!Matt.

Was thinking about an approach using vnav only supported by localizer to keep the heading. I know Ryanair has published a document explaining that. Has any of you guys attempted this kind of approach and if so I have one question. The airdrome is located at sea level. (57 ft) should I then reset the mcp altitude to 0 ft' ? By the way, STAR contains already two important waypoints for making this possible I think (FF09 and RWY09)gura75

I recently had an issue with windows 7, and it decided not to save my downloaded files, so now I have to go and re download everything. Please tell me I don't have to pay again to re get all of my aircraft.Patrick Boynton
