The Christmas and winter holiday season is here. Many of us are planning trips or quick visits with friends or family. The nice thing is that the season gives us time off and have fun, but between time with family and friends we hopefully get some time to fly. Mine was the Abacus A380. I was in ore of its complexity compared to default fs2004 AC. It had a friggen computer thingy which i now know as a FMC. How massive the quality of aircraft i fly have changed.

DOES PMDG NOT ALLOW INSTALLATION OF A DELTA LIVERY IN THEIR 747-400X? I CAN'T EDIT THE CFG FILE BECAUSE WHEN I ADD A DELTA TEXTURE TO THE FILE IT WILL ASK IF I WANT TO SAVE THE CHANGES. I'm looking for the PDF guide that describes how to create the FMC SID/STARS terminal procedures text files. I remember there being one for the NG in FS9, but I could not find one for the NGX. Is it still the same, and can someone send me the PDF?Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,Im getting a bit bored of flying around Europe all the time so can you American NGX pilots give me some good ideas of flights you do, im thinking of journeys around 300-700 nm around the states/canada, preferably an addon airport with AES support. Any suggestions on correct installation order taking into account magnetic variation. Having installed FSX from scratch, should one install payware scenery/airports and pmdg + service packs before installing/updating magnetic variation updates? gura75

Hello,Does anyone know of any PMDG-compatible hardware (or what can be made compatible through FSUIPC, SPAD or LINDA) that is of good quality?I already have the Saitek switch panel, Yoke, Pedals and throttle.What I am thinking about now is the Saitek multi panel, radio panel or an extra Throttle. Hey folks,I got bored and did some research on docks. I decided that the best one was RocketDock (as it was the first I found) and I configured it to work very much like a Mac Dock except that it has almost everything on it. It really improves the Windows convenience (no wonder people love the Mac dock!) It is much easier to just grab your task. The one I have doesn't handle minimized applications well, so I am always prepared to find a different one. Although it's still Windows, it is a little more free-spirited. I'd like to order PMDG 737 NGX 800/900 and 600/700 for my husband for Christmas. If I wait until Christmas day and he knows before I order it, he'll tell me not to spend my money on it. So I'd like to order it now and let him download it on Christmas. Since my IP address is captured when I look at placing an order, I don't know if my laptop would be the system that would have to download the software. As you can probably tell, I'm not very system savy, like my husband is. If I download the software, can it go on a memory stick that I can give to him? Hello CaptainsI know it's not a pmdg issue, but Im not a big forumer and 99% I'm here. After I updated my nvidia driver to the latest fsx won't start. After the welcome logo an error message pops up:"This graphics card does not meet minimum requirements for shader support. This product requires a geforce3/radeon8500 class or better graphics card. Flight simulator will exit now"I can only click ok then after a few seconds another pop up: Fatal error occurred, check solution or restart program. Obviously my evga gtx580 is enough for fsx. I tried to reinstall the nvidia driver but did not helped. Any help would be appreciated if it is possible to solve this issue without rei…

Hello all, I know I am not the only person finding it difficult to fly the 747 after buying the 737 nix and I would like t see better vc developed... I am not asking pmdg to re do it... Although it would be awesome, but I was wondering if it was possible to change my 747 fmc for the one from the 737 so that it's 3d and works in the vc... With out buying any software too... Dear PMDG,I can understand your reasons behind not announcing any release dates, they are also very good reasons. But I'd like to ask, what's the go with the Dash-8 and 777? More-so for the D8. There was no more news (to my recollection) about them after the announcement and the video released some years ago. And no one in the forum seems to talk about it...As I understand it, the D8 was suppose to be before the NGX and the 777, which means it should be the next product (excl. the secret project). Hello,I am experiencing poor performance while on FSX on my system, especially with FRAPS. This mostly happens when I am at Brisbane, Australia (ORBX Scenery) in the NGX or 744X. For example, when I'm on final at Brisbane in the NGX VC, I can experience FPS as low as 6 FPS, and that is when I am not recording with FRAPS. Also, when taxiing towards the gate and there's a custom (ORBX) Building, Static aircraft or one or more AI Aircraft from Just Flight's Traffic X, the FPS drop below 10FPS. The FPS in these areas rarely (actually, probably never) rise above 10FPS. My settings are in the mid-high range, and there are only about two ("Special effects " slider in the "Scener…

ok ok, I know there is a hardware forum for something like that but I remember that tabs once posted something about gfx cards, possibly in the light of the ngx, had to do with their memory size and memory fsx can handle. reason is that I am about to upgrade my 260 to something will will most likely be a evga560ti. does 1gb ram make sense? or does it actually harm as my pc already has 8gb (maybe too much for fsx but just enough for other programs)? would 512mb make more sense?cheersphil
