Hi, the reason Im writing in this forum is that I haven't got access to tve topcat forum... I have been waiting for approval for a long time... My question is.. Im using topcat as my fuel planner for fsx... And I have a problem... The fuel to the destination is fairly accurate but it doesn't calculate the distance to the alternate airport I have selected... I have tried to select an alternate that is far away, bit the amount of fuel that topcat has calculated for me doesnt change... Am i doing something wrong or isn't topcat able to handle alternates?

Guys i found this interesting and i think that it would be nice if PMDG develops this aircraftThe top photo is when it came originally from Boeing factory and last week they took to South Africa, Johannesburg to repaint with Taag colors.Can PMDG develop this model?What do you think?Thaks

There are many aircraft I will never fly and wouyld like to detete them as choices when selecting an aircraft.Any one know how to do this?

hi guysI know this isn't exactly the place however I don't really frequent any other subforums on Avsim.My issue is - I have the ch throttle quadrant but have issues when trying to map all 4 engines for the PMDG 747X to individual throttles...seems some of them don't calibrate very well in FSX ie. works a treat when mapping with the ch pro software but not in FSX.anyway, is there a way to map say all left engines to one throttle and all right engines to another throttle (so I can use 2 throttles only but control all 4)?Thanks

Hello, I'm looking for software that would allow me to view gauges (be it fsx ones or pmdg ones) on a networked pc. It would aslo be nice if one could crearte templates for different aircraft with different gauges and move them around. I know this isn't pmdg related, but like me there are probably a lot of other forum users who very rarely visit any of the other fora.Just a quick heads up in case anyone else runs into this problem.If youre using nvdivia surround to span your vc across 3 monitors you may have problems with the 285.62 driver no longer supporting your normal resolution and basically stretching everything 50% horizontally. When activating surround it drops the resolution of the first monitor (which causes the others to mirror it) and leaves you with 32x9 ratios instead of the expected 48x9. Hello,Yesterday I got FSX Deluxe, because my old FSX Default version Disc 2 was broken. So installed FSX Deluxe along with all my scenery add-ons, like REX, Aerosoft, FSDT etc. Also the PMDG airplanes including 737NGX, 747X, MD11X and J41. I also installed all WOAI packages, I'm not using Ultimate traffic because I find it wayyy too frame rate heavy. I've been using WAOI for a long time before and never have had any problems with it. So after installing all WOAI packages I started FSX, and set airline traffic to 50%. So I went to an airport, Aerosoft Amsterdam, but no traffic. So I put aircraft shadows on the ground to off, still no traffic. I tried several other airport…

Is there any program out there that can let me capture my raw joystick and throttle /keyboard inputs (I have x52 pro) and record that (almost like a flight data recorder) and save it so that I can play it back on a different planes or even different version of flight simulators?

Hi,Since I've had my new system (except new GPU, upgrading soon...) for over 1 month now, there is one problem I'm experiencing on my system which I didn't have on my old system. The problem is when I watch an instant replay in Options -> Instant Replay... or in FSRecorder, after watching it for a second or third time, the screen simply turns black. I can still hear sounds, and when I increase engine power it all responds normally. The sim just continues normally, but only the screen is black. When I press Alt+Enter to go to windowed mode, still the screen is black. Also when I press Alt+Enter again to go back to full screen, the screen stays black. When I press the X…

hi,I know its not the rigth forum, but I don't know another place where I always got some excellent help depending in FSX ;-)I noticed yesterday on a night flight over europe that I have very bright night textures between cities and villages. for examplehttp://i44.tinypic.com/29m877k.jpgThe fields are all very bright. I think in real life you cant see any fields on the ground which are not illuminated. Does anybody know if I can change it?Thank you very much, Nicolas

Because of the Performance Manager for the 737NGX, I've been able to squeeze a little more FPS out of FSX. It's just my opinion (I hope others will say the same), but PLEASE keep features like that available for future aircraft!

Hey guys, hope this is an appropriate place to post. I just got a 15" 2.2GHz i7 Macbook Pro (Early 2011 model). Naturally, I'll be setting up bootcamp with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit to run FSX and all my aircraft (including, my future NGX). Any suggestions from you fellow pilots as to how to best optimize my setup so as to have the best performance possible? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,I'm having a problem with the PMDG MD-11. Landing lights do not illuminate the ground unfortunately :( NGX is working fine though. I have REX 2.0 Overdrive installed, and tried to restore my backup, but unfortunately the backup is a backup of my older REX installation. *facepalm*So it would be nice if someone could email their spotlight.bmp to me which is located inside FSX/Texture. Since it's release a few months ago - It would be interesting to find out how many PMDG NGX's where sold as a result of the years of development go into it. Could it be more than the current 737NGX fleet out there now?Matt

Hey guys,Today i decided to remove FSX from my windows drive as i only had 1gig left and wanted to have space for add ons etc. So i deleted the FSX folder in my C drive and went ahead re-installing FSX, this is where im stuck! I want to install FSX on my D drive which has over 300gb of space, i run the setup and go to options and select the D:\FSX and press install but it goes ahead and installs it on my C drive? The only files that are installed on the D drive are the "Fonts" folder and Support link.Any idea why it won't install to the drive i selected?

I have flown 4 or 5 flights with the NGX 800 with no issues. All of a sudden my CH Pedals are not working right. ONce I hit the brakes, they always stay on. The only way to remove the brake indicator is to hit the parking brake, which works poorly when one is taxiing. Also, I no longer can taxi straight. I get on the taxi centerline, get off the pedals, and the plane starts swerving to the right.This has happened to my pedals before. I returned them to CH and they supposedly fixed them, but I suspect that they just gave me a new set of pedals.
