PMDG General Forum

Just been braving the NGX manuals about 6 diffrent booklets in all, excellent lots of info.But for manuals in PDF here two are over 1000 pages long, its very hard to navigate a 1000 page document wiithtout bookmatks for headingd and sections.Currently the only way i can navigate this stuff in PDF is by searching for words.I have J41, 747.MD11. NGX and its same thing with all these manuals, if a manual is gona be over 50 pages . heading / section bookmarks is a must for navigating the document.Unless i am missing something here, dont see how i am supposed to read 1000 page manual wihtout being able to use section heading bookmarks.

when i am mid flight with any plane ngx or md11 fsx freezes and if i let it stay on not responding it comes back but like after 10 min and it happens a lot and it is really irritating and my computer specs are in my signature.

Hello Captains.I just have one question: Can somebody guide me how to start these weather softwares with FSX? I mean, I want to have some instructions about how to set ASE weather engine, REX textures and the order it has to be initiated with FSX.Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi everybody!So as we know its nearly christmas (there goes the children, *cough* me) and Im thinking of what to get. Recently Ive started flying the NGX on vatsim. But like most things go wrong. The blurries, the CTD and the computer freezing. To overcome that Ive turned the sliders dramatically down but its jus not fun enough. Ive lost the beautiful qualities of the NGX. So I would like to have some recommendations for some systems to get in order to fix this problem. First off I need to know which system is causing the CTD, blurriness and freezing computer. Hi,I am new to this forum, but have been eagerly following the recent topics on the exciting upcoming 737NGX (which looks brilliant). I'm about to purchase new mobile hardware to run FSX and PMDG products. My eye is on the ASUS G73SW, which has an Intel i7 2630 processor, 8GB of RAM and an nVIDIA GTX460M 1.5GB DDR5 videocard. This laptop is supposed to run the latest games quite well. On the other hand, I really like the new macbook pro's. For instance, the one that I could afford is the macbook pro 15", which also has a quad core i7 processor, but only 4GB of RAM and a lesser graphics card (AMD Radeon HD6490). Will it cause any problems not installing FSX to the C:program files(x86) 32bit folder on a 64 bit win 7 machine? I'd like to just do C:FSX so I can avoid all the UAC annoyances and bugs I last experienced when installing the game under the x86 32bit directory.

Dear PMDG, I think, that yours NGX is the greatest addon for FS ever...But I'm just a little sad, because I know about really many 737NG addons but my favourite - 737CL is only one (I'm talking about Wilco PIC 737)....it's 3D cockpit doesn't look 3D and it has really many bugs - for example on the main gear is the cover plate on left side only so on the right main gear he is in inner side...I think, that it would be great, if one only next 737CL addon will be made with precision of PMDG 737NGX.....but great should be, if this addon will be for FS9 too, because somebody just dont have so much strong PC to run FSX with many sceneries for at least 20 FPS..... Hello,Recently, I have been experiencing issues with my MD-11 (this topic explains the issue) . After opening a support ticket at PMDG, It answered that the issue might be because of "unstable overclocking". I am not sure if any of my computer's components is overclocked, how can I check? Thank-you for any suggestions.

anyone know where I can contact PMDG for permission to submit some screenshots of modified paint schemes I have downloaded from PMDG? I have downloaded and installed several 737ngx liveries and 747 400 liveries into fsx but the livery names are not being listed for use in atc.I have not seen this issue before just recently reloaded fsx and reinstalled all my pmdg planes got a new machine I mac 3.1.can any one help on this ? much appreciatedregards Michael
