Hi all, I am thinking of upgrading from RC4 to Vox ATC and was wondering specifically weather the FO can set assigned radio frequencies into the PMDG radios when ATC assigns them to him. I guess anyone who runs this program might know that. I worry that I would actually have to tune the frequencies. Since I am the allways the PF and the Captain the FO gets the comms every time. Thanks!

I downloaded the new PMDG 737NGX 800-900. The installation went without a problem. When I opened my FSX I decided to do a free flight using the NGX just to see how the plane performs and get it airborne to fly around a bit. When opening the free flight I chose to fly out of KPHL,the flight began on the active runway. When starting, I noticed that the flight automatically started with the engines running. Inside the cockpit nothing works, the glass screens are black and when attempting to click on the instraments nothing works. I use a saitek flight control system with a saitek throttle. When pushing the throttle forward the plane will accerate and fly with proper throttli…

In addition to my post from yesterday ( MSA question ) I still have a few more : 1) In the HOLD around KLO there is a number 6000 and I assume it is the min altitude. 2) In the HOLD at GIPOL there are 2 numbers,MAX FL240 and 7000. Does this mean that the altitude can be anywhere from 7000 to 24000 feet ? 3) If I were to fly the HOLD at KLO at an alitude of 6000 feet I would soon or later hit the ground between 041 and 265 degrees 4) Below the KLO circle it says : 4) MSA 59 within 17 nm Between 041 and 265 there is a MSA of 8600 feet indicated Therefore: which ine is correct ? Once again, thank you for you help.Hubert Werni See attached screenshot

Can anybody help me to understand the MSA KLO ( see attached screen shot ) symbol. The way I see it ( but I am probably totally wrong ) is that when one flies towards KLO on a heading between 265 degrees to 041 degrees an altitude of at least 8600 feet has to be maintained to avoid hitting the ground. And here is my "not understanding" : how then can anyone land on say rwy 34 ( which is between 265 and 041 degrees ) since when landing one must descend below that MSA of 8600 feet ? There is something I do not understand. Can anybody help and explain ? Please look at the included screen shot. Thank you Hubert Werni

Maybe this is old news to some...but to the rest- Sept 12-16 2012.I hope those of you that have never been -but always wanted to go, will- to help support it.There are tons of people that go to this every year and its like nothing else. Last year, sadly, it became even more so.This year however is a fresh start to old tradition in the Nevada desert.www.airrace.org for all the infops- RSR owns a T6 ( WW2 era), he and his team race it in all its splendor and glory;)

Hi there,With the forthcoming SDK being released this should allow cockpit builders access to all or most ngx commands. My question is, would it be possible for PMDG to allow the pfd/nd, FMC, standby instruments etc, to be displayed on seperate monitors and resizeable etc. If this were possible, an almost perfect simulator could be produced by home cockpit builders. There are a few S/W companies that offer 737 s/w for home builders, yet in my opinion they are very expensive, but more importantly I have yet to see any with the fidelity of PMDG's 737!I for one would happily pay extra for a home cockpit version with the functionality I have mentioned. I would be very interest…

Hi alljust read an article that Kinect for Windows is being released next month. How nice would it be if it worked with PMDG planes.Aircraft inspection, kick the tyres, move about the cabin and so forth.Fingers crossed that one day it might.Oops, here is the link: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/kinect-windows-launch-feb-2012-retail-pricing-availability

Dear Rob and the team,With the news overnight that Microsoft Flight will almost certainly not provide for the survival of our community, I was wondering if/when you will be providing information concerning what you see as the future of flight simulator, and what direction PMDG is likely to take. Has this decision already been made, or does it depend on what MS Flight looks like when it is released? I understand you may be limited by the NDA, though perhaps you might be able to tell us when you are likely to make an announcement about these issues.Already several developers have made comment on the alpha process and have mentioned the loss of Microsoft cooperation with add…

I purchased the extended downlaod for the 744 and was sent the link to submit the ticket to get it initiated. When I press on the link "http://support.precisionmanuals..com/Main/frmVerifyAccount.aspx?vv=13273_634620090089800000_golfermd" I get an error saying that Windows could not display the webpage. There is nothing in the error message to say anything wrong.

Good morning,I have decided to upgrade my system and will be moving up to Vista 64 bit. Is there anything special I should know about re-installing FS9?I recently purchased both the 747 and 737 planes. I noticed two issues - 1) I couldn't see any of my add-on liveries and 2) I would get red lines in the airspeed indicator (only in the B737 900) as soon as the plane took off but would disappear once the flaps were fully retracted.I seem to remember seeing this has something to do with administrative rights.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers,Colin Gray

Looking at some nice graphics just posted on the PMDG 737NGX forum,I decided to try the tweek suggested.I use the Horizon UK photographic scenery.[attachment=36716:2012-1-11_18-47-16-125.jpgThe results are wonderful! Most sliders over to the right and frame ratesof around 40 on the ground and higher in the air.My card is a MSI R6850 overclocked with the built in overclocker. This is the first attachment that I have posted so I am not sureif the quality will show up as it is on the screen. The plane is over Bogner Regis.David

New in the AVSIM Library filename: cycle1113-1201_sidstars.zip.I've been away from this side-hobby for awhile, getting started back into it with Atlanta. Hope you enjoy. Feedback welcomed.PMDG SIDSTARS Cycle 1113-1201 (15DEC11-09FEB12) based on FAA National Data from National Flight Data Center, issued every 56d (Two Navigraph Cycles). These procedures include the following enhancements: All procedures are included as-published by the FAA and they are expanded to replace ATC-vectors with realistic route segments for use in a non-ATC environment (ie not using VATSIM or other service). All STARs include routing from the arrival to the final approach fix of the approach and …

I was browsing through http://precisionmanuals.com/ and I saw on the Shop tab, a Gear & Extras thing. I clicked there, but it ended up being other add-ons that PMDG recommends. I was thinking it was Gear as in, clothes, pens, and all those other goodies. :smile:I think they should make some shirts or something that promotes the NGX... I'd buy it!
