PMDG General Forum

Hi all,my VA is doing some flights out of McMurdo sound. Having D/L and installed the required scenery,I started up the MD11 and tried to load the route NZWD - NZCH, which had been constructed using FSCom. But it would appear that NZWD does not exist in the PMDG Database.Hence the title of this post. I have figured out what needs to be added to the airports.data file,but cannot comprehend the units being used in the other files. Is there any definitive explanation on how to do this, been Googling for hours and cannot find any?Also I assume, that if the above can be done, when the next Airac cycle is installed it will wipe these additions out, correct?Regards JohnT

I tried to edit my cfg file in PMDG 747-400X program located at ms games/simobjects/airplanes/PMDG747-400X but when addin g to the file it asks me if I want to save the changes but then will not allow me to save the changes. I turned off UAC with no change in results. I logged on as administrator and extrracted terxture straight to PMDG folder but it showed up in 747-4008i. My question is does PMDG have some restriction in place to keep me from installing a delta texture in my 747-400X folder. If PMDG does not have a restriction on downloading textures that don't come from them can someone tell me how to install a delta texture to PMDG747-400X.....henry murray laure…

Whose with me for pmdg to create a KC-135???? There are no good payware 135's out there and. I think if pmdg were to create 1, there would be alot of buyers

Hi. Quick question since I've gotten some mixed readings searching the net. Does the 737NGX or any of the PMDG products require some activation scheme. Sorry, I don't buy products that use that stuff. I tend to hang on to my investments long after they've gone out of style, lol. I don't care about paying more e.g. buying straight from the manufacturer versus some third-party so if that's a consideration, please let me know where to buy the non-DRM version. And if the 737 is restricted I'm okay with other products that are not.

Topic title says it all.Look, i'm not peeved with ya guys at all and certainly not gonna start a fuss aboot it but...Very disappointed with the lack of public progress with the Dash 8 project.I think I speak for a small group here but I thought it fair to get my opinion across.To be frank, if it's not happening and going the way of the PMDG A320 project from years past then just let us know. I foolishly started my search by going through the first 500 pages of topics in this forum(the oldest). Bad idea, and my food kept getting cold :( . I might get some people rolling their eyes when they read this, as this is regarding the old FS9, but please help! I have been out of flightsimming for almost 2 years, but my gf is letting me use her new computer for it until I can buy my own. Since the 747-800 shares a lot of commonality with the Triple 7 does anyone here think that PMDG is working on an accurate 74-8? I know they said there would like to make an updated 74 and which 74 is more updated than the 800? I would prefer that over a remake of the 400. It certainly is a pretty airplane and they already have the external model for it! Just seeing what your thoughts were.ErikKMSP

Hi I have many sceneries FSDT, CLOUD9, ORBX etc etc some freeware some payware, when I want to load a scenery for a flight do I click on add on scenery in FSX and load it from there as there only seems to be a few listed?My ORBX ones aren't listed in the add on tab but are loaded in the scenery editor section, so do I just pick Melbourne intl and it will load ORBX files?Also does the AES file need to be at the top? .Or does the scenery you wish to run need to be at the top of the list?Thanks for your help in advance?Sorry posted this in FSX forum no answers.Wayne HART

Hello,I've already asked this in the correct forum but I did not get a sigle response there, so now I'm trying it here because I know of the great knowlegde in this forum here.I have a problem with installing the FSX SDK. I have installed it following the instructions on fsdeveloper.com, but it doesn't show up in FSX. I have FSX deluxe with the ACC pack installed on my system and I think I have the correct version of the SDK installed.Does someone know what I'm doing wrong or has any suggestion or tipps?

Hey captainsTomorrow i will participate on a real Amsterdam operations event on ivao.booked the flight EHAM-VIDP B744 wich is assigned to the reg PH-BFANow i searched the avsim library for a repaint for that bird even well as flightsim.com but there is no repaint available for that bird(at least not for FSX,PMDG)My question is is there someone who could make a repaint of that aircraft? i know there is a tutorial here how to do repaints but time is not on my handsLet me know if you can help me out.

I know this is nothing to do with a PMDG add-on - however I thought I would open it up to the forum for guidance on how to fix the issue.I do allot of flying for ThomsonVirtual on the NGX using their own ACARS system. However lately I have been getting a few CTD from unknown causes and then sometimes it is a C++ error and I have to restart the flight you can almost guarantee it will happen for a flight over 2 hours which for me is pretty much every flight I do and it is getting very annoying as you can probably imagine (although I do get to practice my takeoff's over and over)Thanks in advance guys,Matt Marshall

Hi,Currently the only bottleneck of my pc is my HDD, which is a WD Caviar Green 1TB 5400 RPM. I'm planning to buy two SSD's. a Crucial M4 64GB for my OS, and a Crucial M4 128 GB for FSX. Is this a good choice?I was also wondering, will I see a performance increase when I put FSX on it's own drive? In terms of framerate?
