i just installed the new driver for my gtx 580 and now fsx is acting very strange. i clean installed the old one and i still have the problem. every time i go into the vc and then back to the outside the plane shutters very time i move the camera and i have a very good computer. my specs are in my signature. i just repaired fsx and i will see if that works.

Just a quick question....how similar are the avionics and systems of the MD-11 to the B717?

With my relatively recent NGX purchase (along with a recently purchased CPU and GPU capable of handling the load), my interest in FSX has been rekindled, and I'm now interested in enhancing the experience as much as possible. Along those lines, I'm interested in users' opinions on the value of various add-ons. I'm not speaking of specifics, such as a particular scenery area by ORBX, but more general recommendations - kind of a "dream" FSX environment. For example, I have REX, and anticipate purchasing UTX and GEX, but what about mesh improvements? Are they worth it? For that matter, are UTX and GEX still king of the hill? What about AI? ATC? Basically, what would you reco…

Hi Sorry the title. It should be ENVA. Vaernes Trondheim, Norway. ENVA offers a visual approach via MALOV. DME 6 at 2500 ft. RWY 09. Is the plane configured for lading before reaching MALOV? Or do pilots do last adjustments before minimums during a visual approach? Don't they use LOC at all? Geir

From what I read online, the TAT shown in the EICAS should be higher then the SAT shown in the CDU...except my TAT is much, much lower then the SAT.Right now I'm flying at FL370 with a TAT of -16*C, but my SAT is showing -49*C.Is this right?*edit*okay, nevermind...my brain didn't realize that a lower negative number is actually HIGHER then the higher negative number.I'm going to go put my head in an elevator door now...

So I go onto the site to re-download the 737 NGX only to find out I have to pay another $5 to re-download a product I've already PAID for.Fine. I pay my $5 and get no link to re-download.Fine. I enter a support ticket with the "Re-download" option and give my order number.Fine. Hello allAs much as we love and admire our NGXs, I'm wondering if many of you take time out to do any VFR flying?The reason for asking is with all the great scenery I have installed, there are times when I feel that, from 35,000ft, I'm not making the most of them - and start thinking how they would look from a lot lower down.I never really do VFR flying, so I'm not too sure what the best options are in the way of available a/c are. What I would really like is a GA equivalent of the NGX. I've noticed that Aerosoft are currently offering their Diamond DA20-100 Katana 4X with a 20% discount. This looks rather nice and seems to get some good reviews...So, I guess my question …

I was just curious what PMDG's take is on FlightGear. Is it possible for addon developers to profit from their product or does everything have to remain open source? I have never tried it. I apologize if this has already been asked and anwered. I just bought a new computer and it came with an nvidia geforce 560 ti. My previous computer had a ait radeon with about 5 settings options. The control panel for the nvidia has about 20 settings options and I can't seem to figure out what combination to use to get the best picture. I can't seem to get rid of the jagged lines. For those nvidia users out there, what settings do you use?

Hi guys,I normally have autogen off, but it doesn't work with some sceneries [particularly aerosoft.I have it on normal, and when I pan in exterior view or sometimes in VC I get flashes of texture bleeds [autogen spikes]. Like lines across the screen, or a large green box. It lasts for a fraction of second and is frequent.Anyone know of a fix?Alex

Hello PMDG staff.I am not sure that you answer questions in relation to future aircraft, even if they don't involve release dates..but I have one, and understand either way if you do or don't answer or comment.I have been watching and reading a lot about the 777, due to the project for it that you are working on. Hi AllI have an idea to simulate the air transport of F1 cars through the new season. Would give a nice new way to see many parts of the world I've not flown to yet :))SO I need some help.Is there anyone out there that knows how this works in RL ? Equipment, companys used, shedules, airports used etc.I'm guessing that a/c transport is only used for continent changes or breaks in the season when they cars are flown home ?The team I am looking to transport is Maclaren, so if anyone at all has any info at all on this I would be very greatful.Kind Regards.Mark

Hi,I still can't decide about buying a new graphics card. I know that the GTX560TI is a great card for FSX. But as we are getting much closer and closer to the new platforms XPlane 10 or MSFlight, or whatever platform PMDG is gonna switch to, a better graphics card might be better for future purposes I think. I think that the newer games are gonna ask alot more from the GPU instead of the CPU. So therefore I'm thinking about buying a 3GB GTX580 (whenever I get the money...). But I've read countless times that 3GB graphics card can be causing problems in FSX, because FSX can't use more than 4GB of (video) memory or something... So what? I just read on the website that the default (not said wether its fs9 or fsx) does not have a rwy 34 and 28 which is going to be used. FIrst off does the default fsx have those runways? Hi there,I have been silently browing Avsim for years and now I have some questions that other people haven't posted yet.I'm just wondering about the 4096 max tex load it suggests in the 737NGX intro, along with the wide view aspect. Will those reduce performance?I'm getting 20-30 fps with the NGX on my settings at 90% maxed and about 40-60 with the MD11. I do have a 23 inch wide screen and i'm wondering, what are the 4096 textures for? If its just for outer eye candy, I wont bother. I do all my flying from the VC anyways. Will the widescreen aspect benefit me from already have the game set to 1920/1080? Or is it more for multi monitors?Lastly, I can't find the MLW for th…
