Hey everyone. I just received my new computer today and am having some issues. My specs are listed in my signature and are wayyy better than my previous ones. My previous specs were 3GB Ram, AMD Athlon Dual Core 2.4 Mhz, Nvidia 8800gt 524MB. I just finished loading fsx and addons and inside VC (default 737, NGX not downloaded yet) i'm getting about 60-70fps at CYYZ (Toronto Pearson), but outside it jumps all over the place, will go as high as 70 and then drops to 6 or 7 which is creating stutters, i've tried locking fps at 30, but no good, still drops to around 6 or 7. My old computer never did that. I was still conservative with my graphics settings and used Bojote…

After uninstalling my PMDG 747X, my PMDG icon seemed to be removed as well. The missing icon is located in D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\PMDG\Icons. Where can I download it ? I don't want to reinstall the NGX and sp1a, b, c...

Hi all,I'm curious what table/desk people use for their FS setup.I just have a basic 2'x4' table right now, but I'm looking for more space, plus a decent setup for my yoke and pedals.I would have likely purchased the Roccaforte Ultimate Gaming Desk, but it appears that company went out of business... :-/Thanks! Hi There ChapsI came across this video from a few of the lads in my local FS Forum and boy oh boy is this platform shaping up to be a BEAUTY! As far as i know its in early Alpha at the moment with a demo released with minimal airfields and two aircraft. not to sure about how the flight physics/dynamics come into play with the engine....i assume some one would know more. But anyway could you imagine how INSANE this would look with a few PMDG aircraft thrown into the picture and HD weather! i think i would literally poop my self :(

Hi there,When I push Ctrl + J for the Jetway, it always goes to door 2L or 2R. That wasn't a problem in the past, but now that I have GSX from FSDT, it always asks for me to open 1L or 1R to load/unload pax.How can I switch the FSX jetway to go to 1L or 1R??Second question is the Widescreen "True" that the NGX intro tells you to do. Is it for any widescreen? I have a widescreen 23 inch LED, but some people are saying its for multiple monitors only?Thanks,Jordan

Hey everyone i have the t-flight hotas x throttle and joystick as seen here: http://www.computerdoc.com.mt/wp-content/uploads/Thrustmaster-T-Flight-Hotas-X-Joystick-1.jpgAs you can see there is the thing on the throttle lever which should control the rudder in fsx (the joystick also twists to control it) The Joystick twist works and moves the rudder but the switch thing on the throttle has no effect.I was wondering if someone would be able to tell me how I can get the thing on the thorrtle to work so it controls the rudder too.TIA,Dan

Just out of curiosity... what kind of approaches are you all flying, ILS or RNAV and why would one be more appropriate than the other? Also... question #2, if flying a RNAV app. do you also program the ILS frequency or do you just rely on VNAV for descent to the runway?Thanks in advance, Jim

Hi all,After many years of using FSX I find myself still flying without Autogen scenery.I use a GTX 580 card and the latest driver.Use the Sandy Bridge I7 - 2400k CPU with standard settings.I would like to have some trees and buildings around the airports butkeep getting texture flashes on the ground and around the sky.It's not doing FSX any harm but becomes very annoying.It stops the moment I disable Autogen.I have tried bufferpools, frame rate limiter ( 30 FPS) and some other stuffbut so far always the same result.Any other advise and or tricks will be very welcome.Kind Regards , Rick melcher

I was just reading a thread from the past where as a real NG pilot stated the PMDG product reverse thrust is weak, winding up to only about 60%N1. In real life he said you can get up to 90% N1 in reverse...WOW! I never knew that.... but for years I have been editing the aircraft.cfg file line that contains (just do a ctrl-f search) for minimum throttle limit - and increasing the default values up a bit to about .30 or so that gives me up to about 80% reverser ability........never knew the real thing could get up to 90%.... the Beechjet I fly puts out a lot at about 80%, and I heard most bizjets only give up to about 70%

I registered in Avsim also, because there is no otherway to contact PMDG Shop, to unlock my Account there.I purchased already the NGX Base package, and i happily fly the 737 NGX 800-900. I also purchased the extended download service, because i travel frequently as well.Yesterday i wanted to purchase the NGX 600-700 bundle, and i mistyped one letter of my password, and my account was locked immediately. Second try with my password right, account still locked. Usually there must be at least 3 failed password tries before an account is locked, but nevertheless, i hope there is an administrator, that can unlock my PMDG Account, so i can purchase my 600-700.

Hi all, since I bought and installed UTX and GEX Europe (I'm also using REX 2.0), I get very low fps. I did everything how it's described in the manuals, installed UTX first, then GEX, defragmented my harddrive with the win7 defragger and did a test flight.While I noticed slightly increased loading times of the sim, there also were more stutters and a big framerate drop. Later I defragmented with MyDefrag which should be a better defragger than the win7 one, also recommended on other forums for better FSX performance... my &@($*!Loading times INCREASED even more and now I'm getting i.e. only 7-9fps in the PMDG 737NGX at a more complex but not that big of …

I know it's been asked about before. But it's been a while and putting the question again. It would be great if there ever was a PMDG full on effort on an A320. As we all know the Airbus factor is the other side of the equation of the overall airliner industry worldwide.The systems are so automated and restricted, and what's currently out there very outdated in terms of graphics and buggy and hardly updated, it would be wonderful to see a PMDG A320. Hi, Not sure how to get round this but it's becoming a leeeetle frustratingI have just purchased 737 NGX....really cool....but when I try and read the tutorial 1 with fsx running I cannot get back to fsx after looking at the pdf. fsx is still running but I cant switch or alt-tab back to it. Any ideas?thanks
