Hello, I have been around the PMDG forums for about 2 years now, I just dont post much. I have been searching online for the past few days, the best combination of parts for the best "gaming" PC that I can build for around $2,000. I do not only want a computer that will run FSX at 100000000 FPS, I am looking for a computer that will run all the newest games, including First Person Shooters like Modern Warfare 3, and Battlefrield 3. Like I stated, I have around $2,000 to spend on this computer, if someone can write up which motherboard, processor, graphics card (im assuming the HD 6990 is currently the best?), what kind of Memory, hard drive, etc... About 2 months ago I completely uninstalled FSX from my computer and deleted all my add-on back-ups. This was done in preparation for MS Flight. Needless to say, I'm re-installing FSX and my add-ons all over again. I bought the PMDG 737NGX when it first came out, I found the email which contains the download link, but the link has expired. I went to the PMDG website and found that there is an extended download service - which completely dumbfounds me. Am I seriously required to fork over some more cash to be able to download the base pack again? I understand that bandwidth costs money, but $5 bucks worth?I really hope there is a grace period from time of purchase, as the …

Tom please don't ban me! Anyway, how does the Track IR 5 behave in FSX? I'm considering to purchase it. Also, how does it behave in the NGX? Is it smooth? I heard of some people complaining about it. Also, do you recommend the Pro Clip? (I bought the TR5 from Amazon once, but I got the version that doesn't come with the Pro Clip, so I returned it. Awesomely, Amazon took it and payed the shipping. :) Did I make a dumb move?)

Hi all,Some advice on overclocking my i5 2500k now at 3,3 ghz. (With turbo boost reaching 3,6 -3,7 ghz).M/B: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3P-B3RAM: 8 gb.G/C: Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti.I want to overclock my CPU moderately to reach about 4,2 ghz.The question is if I can just increase the multiplier without touching anything else such as voltage. I don't know how risky this is.Will my M/B be able to handle this?Will it be stable or overheat? (CPU cooler is a regular one).Also, based on somebody's experience, will 4,2 ghz make a difference with my current CPU speed?Thanks,Christos

Is there a way for the team to make the Jet Bridges at FSX airports go to door number 2L instead of 1L on the 777 like a lot of airlines do in the real world? I think this would really be a great feature. I would also understand if its not possible.Mitch Bowman

Hello my fellow simmers,I have a little money, and I feel like the 777 wont be out before my birthday(mid-year), DA's CRJ doesn't look like it will be out soon, and hearing the good things about the MD, thinking about a challenge...I'm a Boeing Guy. Only airliners I fly(I am excluding Airbus X) How many differences in actual systems should I expect? I already know that cockpit is lower quality than the NGX, but higher than the 744. Are the McPhat paints worth it? Also, which routes do you guys fly in it? So I know the NGX was a MASSIVE hit and looks great! Although I haven't personally phurchased it as I don't really fly Short Haul. Are people as excited as they were for the NGX for the 777? I'm interested to see how good things like the Check-list will be, the way the systems work and their timing. Also the exterior should be fantastic, the 777 has such a unique wing they have to nail it. The 77W/77L/77F is my favourite wing of all. I know the PFD and the ND on the NGX are literally the same so I don't expect a change there but wouldn't it be great if they could create some view points some how to bring us a Taxi Camera on the 300 series. Hi,I made the mistake recently of upgrading to the latest driver software after having problems with the X Plane 10 demo and now FSX is just completely messed up with shadows etc... So i have some questions1) What is the best driver for fsx? What have companies like PMDG advised in the past for best performance with their products?2) How can i find out what drivers I have previously installed?3) How can i downgrade to an older driver?Card is a GTX 580 on Windows 7 64bit.Thanks

I have recently reinstalled my PMDG 744 Queen of the skies and I am having troubles getting things started. I start the APU and engage the power, but the PFD, MFD and EICAS displays turn off and never come back on. What do I need to do?

Hi This question concerns high altitude airports, thinner density and indicated speed vs. true speed vs PMDG 737 planes. ".....density altitude affects the landing performance of an airplane High temperature and high elevation will cause an increase in the landing roll because the true airspeed is higher than the indicated airspeed. Therefore, even though using the same indicated airspeed for approach and landing that is appropriate for sea level operations, the true airspeed is faster, resulting in a faster groundspeed (with a given wind condition). Guys,I'm writing here hoping it will be anwsered quickly. The thing is that FSX keeps restarting settings, for example, i checked "show cockpit tooltips" and the next time i start fsx it's unchecked, same with display settings, sound... also when i want to choose starting airport Afghanistan is first to choose. anybody have any idea what is wrong? it has been like this almost a month now, and it starts getting on my nerves LOL !Thanks,Ivan Majetic

Ms Flight looks like a joke. I am happy we have X-Plane as an option. And I am sure 95% of these people who say X-Plane is Crappy have never really spent anytime using it. They just buy a copy, load it up and fly around for 20min. They shut it down because it different the FSX-FS9 and say it is no good!The only thing FSX is better at in flight simulation is eye candy! That's it. I have owned every copy of MSFS since 95. I first purchased X-Plane 9 about 3 years ago and did what most MSFS Hardcore simmers do. What is it about PMDG that makes you love and enjoy their products so much? For me, it is their devotion to every product. Yeah, they might spend a few years for each product, but look at the results in the end. I'd rather spend my money on a company that not only knows what they are doing, but that also care about the products they make. I will never spend another penny on any other company for FSX. What about you guys?
