I've been having several freezes and I'm resorting to uninstall and reinstall the 777. Will I need a new activation code, or will my original one still work? Is there a limit to the number of uninstall/resinstallations available for the 777? Thanks

As I've been learning about the sophisticated automation provided by the FMC/MCP/AT from almost takeoff to touchdown in a/c like the 737 NGX, it has occurred to me that there also might be some negatives. For example, how difficult is it for airline flight crews to stay proficient at hand flying the a/c? I understand the crew is constantly making decisions on how and what the FMC/MCP/AT are doing, but it would seem the time with hands on the yoke and throttle is minimal during a typical flight. I know the pilots have to pass proficiency check rides, so do the airlines have programs or requirements for ensuring crews get the "hands on" time they need, e.g., so many hand fl…

Hi Guys quick question about MCP knobs: is there a way ( may be a keyboard shortcut) to increse the sensibility of MCP knobs?For example to change the Altitude, instead to increase/reduce the value 100 by 100, to increase/reduce the value 500 by 500 or 1000 by 1000. Cheers Emilio

Captains- We continue to make progress with the various items we still feel are "show stoppers" on the SP1 side. I'm going to paste a (huge) change list for items that are already cleared for inclusion into SP1- as I think it is mostly complete. There are a few items left that we are still tuning, and these have to do with certain control logic inside the FBW system during speed transitions, etc. This particular area of the airplane is not well documented, I would suspect because it is highly proprietary- and as such we have had to corroborate experimentation in the full sim and FTD with feedback from the flight crew on our tech team, some Flight Test folks, …

Hey guys, I used to always start with systems on, engines running ready to taxi out, but as I grew more confident with the 777/737 I would switch more stuff off at the start. I've reached the point now that I have absolutley nothing turned on at all on load up. I've decided it's actually more fun this way. Or maybe I'm just mad? (probably). So I was wondering, how many of you are cold and darkers like me?

Hi, I tried searching for this first, but most of the threads containing answers directed folks to links that are dead now (i.e. Planepath). Also http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a60/pmdg-navdata-glossary.aspx didn't seem to reference the same format of runway file. Anyway, I'm trying to add a missing airport to the FMC navigation database, I'm stumped on the runways. Hi I have been asked by another member on Avsim to send them my Panel.cfg for the 773NGX for use with nvidia surround as they get the spinning mouse cursor. I have at this point advised them to log a support ticket with PMDG. However am I allowed to send this file to somoene else? I dont want to break any rules or copy right etc! I wont until I am sure I can any advise appreciated. Regards Steve

I recently ordered the PMDG 777 and the activation code PMDG sent me does not activate the product does anyone know how to fix this, or the phone number of PMDG.

For years I have enjoyed the immersive experience of FSX and PMDG's 737 NGX. Today, I have launched FSX as normal (it opens with a PMDG aircraft loaded) and for the first time ever, I have been asked for a PMDG product activation code. I dug this out and applied it and in return, got the response in the attached screen grab. FSX will not load after this sequence of events. Can anyone help me with a workaround?

I have recently re-installed my Windows and FSX. I forgot to save my purchased PMDG aircaft(MD11, 747, NGX, J41) files on my external hard drive and now I don't have them anymore. I went to my account but I couldn't find any links to purchase the extended downloads. All I see is a repeat order button. But that would cost me $279.9 to purchase them all again :rolleyes:. I was searching around the internet today and I stumbeld on this lovely page over in the PMDG Store. I don't know if we are supposed to see this page yet, since the pack has not been released yet. But that price! Whoa! Thats amazing! PS. I made this post because I didn't know if this was intended or not, I guess it is though.

Hi everyone, Here i am again with the same problem. When i lunch the 777 or 737 or J41 FSX ask me about the safty of 2 Dll of the panel. I click on yes it is trusted and when i click on FLY NOW at 4% FSX close and CTD. I have to Uninstall the product Install it again and it works. Then when i turn off computer and turn it on again, launch FSX selct the 777 or 737 or JS41 ask me again to trust the same DLL of the panel i click on YES and again at 4% FSX CTD. So again Un-install all and of course it ia bother. To try to fix this unexplaineable problem i read on PMDG forum about dll trust policy and how eventualy see if the registry is ok. I don't think I fully understand the implications of CWS. I do understand the a/c will hold the attitude you put it in under CWS. However I would expect the same thing with normal manual steering if the air was perfectly smooth (which I realize it never is) and the a/c in trim. So I can see the advantage of CWS in bumpy air since the a/c will automatically try to maintain the desired attitude without pilot intervention, but are there other advantages I'm missing? Thx, Al

Hi all, I was just browsing through the PMDG forum, I haven't been here for a while, all this talk of 777-300's and when will this or that come out gets a bit boring after a while, so I try and avoid commenting until there is something worthwhile to comment on. Now I know that PMDG will not comment on release dates for their products which is fine by me, but I recall they were working on a DC6 for FSX. Looking through the forum I can find no comments on this future product anywhere. Hello I have now logged into Angle of Attack and have that bought me training for the 777. I think it is very well done. Many things I did not know about the 777 Sorry, do not understand so much (because of language), but pictures often say more than words. I then look at me just the point again, which I did not understand. How then are your experience with Angle of Attack ? Is that true that the very closely, working with PMDG together ? Hey guys, Have just finished to look through some P3D videos, I must say the Shadows effect made me pretty excited! is it worth leaving everything I have right now on FSX and move to P3D? will the PMDG 777 work on the current P3D platform? cheers!

This is a question for those who use PFPX and the PMDG planes. Recently I switched to PFPX for my flight planing, and I really like it. Coupled with TopCat, it really plans the flight using not just the routing but everything else in between. And then it exports the plan to my PMDG aircraft. But right now, I'm a bit confused about how to use this application with the 737/777. If I run PFPX first, and use it to populate the pax, cargo and fuel, then I have to go into the FMS and manually change the data there. OR - should I launch FSX and the aircraft, create the load figures (fuel, pax, etc.) and then go to PFPX and enter that data manually? PFPX doesn't differenti…

First of all, let me say that I'm into both Boeing and Airbus and do not discriminate between them. However, I'd like to ask if PMDG is planning on developing an Airbus simulation someday. Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I'd like to hear some more recent views on this! Peter

A nice option that is available in other addons is the possibility to remove the pilot seat in VC view via the FMS... that allow a better access to radio panels since it is often complicated to access some switches due to harmrest position etc. Will that option will be implemented in the NGX ?Thank you;Greg

Hi folks, first I've to say that I don't have a high-end system - but with the right settings, the 737 worked fine, the fps was reasonable. The 777 frame rate was in high-detailled sceneries not the best, but also "regular". The performance was not great, but acceptable for me. Now I noticed the following: The framerate shows e. g. 20 or 30 fps. By moving the cursor over the buttons or click-spots the framerate decreases for a millisecond to e. g. 3 fps. If I move the cursor over more buttons, e. g. the num-pad of the FMC, I get a "flipbook" - the fps decreases again and again from an acceptable framerate to 3 fps and back to the acceptable rate.
