Can someone post the best settings for AS Next to be used with PMDG aircraft (NGX and T7 primary). I'm mostly interested about wind settings, as there are options such as "enhanced turbulence" which, by manual, "can alter aircraft handling feeling in some cases", wake turbulence, and other... EDIT: Damn, I whine every day about multiple treads and now I did it...

Guys I have a quick question, if I buy PMDG 747-400X on PMDG.com will I be able to download it or they going to ship me a box version, I'm not a fun boxed versions and I want to get in to this beauty straight away, bottom the line is download version available on their webpage?

Right i'm not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes. Old PC is dead and buried. I am getting a new PC in the next day or two and will use this opportunity to upgrade from FS2004 to FSX. On the previous computer I had/have (the hard drive is still ok) PMDG 737 600/700 and 747 Queen of the Skies which due to hardware issues (I think) weren't running that well. Panel going dead on the 747 randomly. I want to purchase the 747-8i and the 777 for FSX. Regarding the 747 I am confused as to what I need to purchase. Looks like the 747-400 base version (X?) then upgrade to 8I? With the 777 will there be an upgrade to the 300 when it is released? I …

I have been getting a message on FMC saying "unable crz alt" I have tried all alt from 2000 to 29000 and does not want to accept any. Has anyone seen this message , cannot seem to find the error in the documentation.Assistance appreciated

read: always adaptive vsync with newest drivers: Hmm, strange but those new nvidia drivers does not behave quit as the older ones and thats why they are here. I find normally in DX10 with windowmode using NI and limiting to 58fps the most smooth experience FSX can provide on my system included adaptive vsync. How ever when you want to undock panels the fps is cut in half and therefor i cannot use this with my NGX and T7. I have found that making the Nvidia Control Panel set the pre rendering to 4 gives me pretty much same effect (not overall though) and the T7 is BETTER than the NGX in terms of smoothneeth with these settings. Hello! I've very recently started to fly online. But I simply can't figure out which are the right equipment codes for the planes I'm using. I've been reading old documents about flight plans before the 2012 changes. That was confusing, but I think I more or less got the gist of it. Hi all, I am currently only considering my options at this stage in that I may end up doing nothing at all for now. But can I just ask, with respect to Windows 8, how does FSX and in particular PMDG products work with that operating system? Is it better, worse or not work at all?

I know how to fly a DME VOR arc using standard steam gages by repeatedly adjusting the heading and resetting the OBS while monitoring the course needle as it swings from "2 dots on one side to 2 dots on the other". But how are DME arcs typically handled in a/c like the T7 or 737 NGX? Similar to the above, in the 737 I could see constantly resetting the course in the course window and monitoring the CDI on the ND VOR mode display, but I would think there is a better way. Thx, Al

Hi All, I apologize if this has been asked and ansewered. But!!----I have been building a big, nice complex flight sim setup with wall mounted monitors and the whole Go Flight/Saitek flight instruments--the whole bit--cool--but I can not move my PMDG secondary screens around to different monitors like I can with generic FSX aircraft---I get black screens and sysetm crashes when I try this---can anyone add information or thoughts or help with this issue Cheers and thanks Dorn

Do any of you use Vox ATC while flying PMDG aircraft? I have never used an ATC program but want to add to realism. Would you recommend it? Is there a better program? Thanks guys

I'm sorry if that has been covered elsewhere but couldn't see anything recent under 777 or 737... I know there were initially licensing issues which were going to be resolved but can someone direct me to a summary of what (if anything) is compatible with Prepar3d v2 at the moment? Sorry if there is a forum for this already but out of 1500 threads, I don't have time to go through em all. If there are no ideas I would LOVE to see PMDG do a military aircraft. PMDG is the best jet maker by far so I would like to see some diversity in the aircrafts. Since Ryan or someone else said PMDG cannot buy to military aircraft data. Why not access it by borrowing an aircraft. For instance Ryan and Capt. Randazzle could theoretically slip into a base where F-22 are kept. Ryan could distract the guard whilst the Captain borrows the aircraft by flying it out to Base PMDG and evade detection utilizing the aircraft's unique but not so unique stealth features. Sin…

As a birthday present (few months back already) I received a voucher for time on the 737-800 Simulator at Lelystad Airport. (EHLE) These guys (www.simcenter.nl) solved their troubles finding a job as pilot by starting a training center for people like them; licensed but lacking in sufficient (airline tailored) training hours. They also offer their Simulator for use by amateurs, and that is where my lucky break comes from. A typical package is some time for theory followed by 20 minutes in the simulator, with the option of going for an hour. Hi guys. One thing I've neglected with my simming is upgrading my flight controls. At the moment I just use a standard joystick for taxi/takeoff and landing etc. I've thought about something like a Saitek yoke, but it would set me back $275 NZ dollars. How many of you actually use a yoke? Does it really add to your overall experience or is it just an expensive showpiece? Interested in your thoughts before I give up the cash.

I fly heavies 90% of the time. I get my inspiration from Airliners.net. I get a destination airport from a photo. I Plug that airport in Flightaware.com and get departures and arrivals of that airport. Pick a route flying in or out of that airport And finally I make a flight plan using PFPX (or FSBuild prior) and fly. I usually fly the same airliner aircraft and flight number (using PMDG T7, PMDG737, PMDG747, PMDG MD11, Airbus etc.) As a result I covered most of the Major airports in Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas. This is a very undocumented problem, I've been using google to no avail. While performing preflight on the NGX, I experienced sudden loss of audio. Some things to keep in mind: I run all FSX sounds through my default creative soundblaster sound card to my speakers, and FS2 Crew through my USB headphones. I have up-to-date drivers and have had no significant software changes, and I have no viruses, spyware, malware. This has happened 4 times in the past 2 days. Basically this is what happens: The sound suddenly cuts out of my speakers, but FS2 Crew continues working.
