Greeting gentlemen, Like most PMDG drivers out there, I try to keep things as real as possible in my NGX and T7 flights, preferably using procedures taken from actual SOPs and flight manuals from the different operators around the world. Part of that is setting a realitic thrust reduction and accel height for my departures. Trouble is, short of asking RW flightcrew to borrow their SOPs and AOMs, there is no way to know how airlines do it throughout the world. Lately for my European and North American flights I've been departing according to ICAO PROC A, thus reducing thrust at 1500 and accelerating at 3000.     Hello all, I created this thread to see what PMDG planes are the most popular. I posted only the aircraft available for FSX. Please vote above, and if you want to, justify below. I'll start! I love the PMDG 737NGX. I really do love the PMDG 777, but there's something about how immersed I am in the NGX that I can't seem to get in the T7, for some reason! Therefore, my favorite is definitely the NGX, with the T7 in incredibly close 2nd.

    I was curious as I have sent two e-mails at the PMDG web site this week requesting help with the fact that in trying to re-install the NGX package on my brand new computer, I get a message saying that I have exceeded my activations and cannot proceed. So far I have not received an answer. Is all okay? I'd love some help, if anyone has a suggestion. I only installed the package on my previous rig, and now I am moving all over to this new one.     I've searched the forum but can't find an answer. I hope you can help me out. I just bought EZDok and I love it. I only use the Random Head Movement RHM effect as it seems to be the only one that is realistic and based off of in sim winds etc. My problem is every time I load up a new flight in the NGX the settings I had set on the effect are defaulted back to null. I find I have to re-import my saved settings every time. Does anybody know a fix for this?

  7. I was wondering if anybody would be doing some southwest repaints anytime soon? I havent seen many new ones on the avsim library lately=( It would be so cool if people took the Canyon blue SWA 737-700 and just changed the Tail number so that all the SWA flyers can have a simulated different aircraft tail numbers! Also It would be SO cool to take the PMDG 737-600 and put it in the new Southwest colors as kinda a tribute to the retireing of the real life SWA 737-300 and 737-500 fleets. Victor Sandoval

    Now now, I'm not here to cause trouble... just want to poke a little fun. I remember just before the 77L came out, we had a blast trying to guess what "the surprise" was with the release of the new aircraft. Turned out to be the really cool PMDG Ops Centre. I have no knowledge of any new "surprises", but I wondered if we could be all teased again if there is something else! I imagine it was a lot of fun for the team to watch us all guess wildly into the unknown! ...even if there isn't a surprise, can you at least pretend there is so we can kill some time until July!

  9. I can't ever finish flight because my computer can't handle it anymore and crashes after 2 hours. I only run PMDG 737 ngx as an addon for fsx nothing else. Why can't my PC survive for more than 2 hours of FSX? How can I upgrade my computer so it can run for long hauls(15 hours) once I get the PMDG 777-300?     Brothers, In order to correct the PMDG issues I am having as a result of my ASUS ROG motherboard, the good people at Jetline Systems are replacing my motherboard with a new, upgraded, and non-Asus board. This unfortunately will require a re-install of Windows and of course my entire FSX infrastructure. Ugh.     Hello, I have a general FMC config question which, I'm assuming, could be applied for both the T7 and NGX. I've watched many videos of real world flights (ie Just Planes) and have heard one pilot ask the other to either "cleanup the FMC" or "extend the centre line" prior to approach. I know this removes all other points on the FMC and extends the runway centre line indefinitely(?) for the approach. My question is how is this accomplished? I know how to clear the previous points but what do they do to extend the centre line? Thanks!

  16. I fly the PMDG 737 NGX. Today I flew from Panama City to Montego Bay(Jamaica). When I got to top of descent point, I didn't know what altitude to put down so it can start descending. How do I know what altitude to put down? Also, what is my BIGGEST problem on this, is when I choose the approach on the apr page, it doesn't connect the route to the approach so it is both seperate on the panel? Wierd eh? Don't i need a transition point so it can connect the plan together? When I choose my apr during cruising altitude, how do I know what my glide slope should be? This stuff is really complicated :( I need someone to explain this, am getting frustrated. >:(

    Hi, I am posting this here since its the most active forum and would like a quick answer about this. I now that some software is needed to use VAFS5 to make a bridge between fsx and vafs, and the most used is FSUIPC, specially a free version, so I found there is a site called Schiratti that has it but my norton antivirus is saying the site is not safe, that it has two system threats and so I am not planning in taking such a risk, so I am wondering if somebody knows what this is about, if its recent or if it might be a false positive. Also I wonder if there is a good free or cheaper alternative to FSUIPC, or another safe site with the FSUIPC. Thanks.

    Evening gents I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm sure the mods will move it to the relevant place if required. Essentially, I'm looking for user experiences of the 777, because I'm thinking of upgrading my computer at some point in the near future and if sufficient funds make themselves available, I'm interested in a high quality 777 (PMDG's being the clear frontrunner based on what I can see).   21. I've a lot of joystick problems. First of all windows 8.1 seems to kick out my controls all the time. No I have set it up with fsuipc, it performs better. However, my yoke is turning to the left and right extremely. It happens at every flightstick I connect. It does not happen when I fly with my keypad. Does anyone know a solution? I can't fly anymore.

    My question concerns the runway numbers and ILS patterns. I've noticed that they keep changing with their real world counterparts, but why? The airports don't change in FSX, unless someone makes an add on for them, and most of the ones that change drastically I've never seen an add on for that actually adds the extra runways.
