I'm having problems with the autopilot. Here's my scenerio...I'm level at 10,000 ft. I want to initiate a climb to 32,000 ft. Shouldn't I be able to set the Altitude at 32,000, click Alt Hold, and the plane climb to that altitude at the pre selected vs rate (ex: 1800fpm)?It seems to just hold at that altitude, and I have to set Vert Spd to get it to climb?Maybe I'm missing simething??Thanks,Stephen

Hello all,Thanks for the help with the FMC and D-> functions! It works for me now that I know how to do it! New question has arisen regarding the fuel system. I guess this is more of a "What am I doing wrong" type of question. Here's my scenario: :-)Loaded 737-700 so ZFW set at 112.9k lbs.Per flight manual, loaded max fuel in wing tanks and 1000lbs in center tank for total fuel weight of 18.2k lbs, need 15.0k lbs for flight. Now, here's where I had my first issue. Pushed back, started engines, all tanks feeding via overhead fuel switches, no cross feed.I noticed that the center tank was the only tank feeding, and thought "when it is emptied, the main tanks shoul…

Hello All,From the Navdata web site I have the new airac cycle. The installer automatically uses FS2002 as the default directory....I am now using FS9 with 2002 off my computer. Where do I install the navigation data so the FMC can read it? I did a totally fresh install of the 737NG into FS9 so all the old info is gone. Your help is appreciated!Chris

Gentlemen,I have given you as hard a time as any on the forum. So it is only fair to tell you I really like the way you have implemented zoomed gauges while retaining the forward view and proportions of the panel.Like many of the posts I also hope the a/c will realise it's potential and our hope for a highly realistic package. So, so far I am willing to give my highest praise, I am glad I bought it.Now that I'm felling quite nauseous, back to normal service. When does the development for the -800 begin? I NEED a Ryanair!!:-jumpy

Too my surprise, John Gibb's Heads Up Display works with the PMDG 737 NG and FS9. I am using the -600 (2D display) ..have not tried any other modes. It is a great view when landing. I have programmed button 7 on my MS Sidewinder Pro to cycle from 2D panel > Outside view with HUD > Outside view no panels. You need to delete the button assignment in the settings of the Joystick assignments in FS 9 and program button 7 in SSUIPC 3.04 to press W as the keypress. The files for the HUD are available on AVSIM; the filenames are:jghgsv2.2.zip (Place the gauge in your FS9 Gauges folder)andafg_hgs_mastercfg.zip (Place the panel.cfg in your FS9 aircraft > defaults > panel…

Hello, while flying around with the new 737NG-700 Alaska livery, I lost my sense of time and it started to get dark outside. Now at night the VC had a strange green look while some gauges remained at the normal grey (maybe I should just post a screenshot instead of describing ...). Especially when switching between 2D panel and VC the different colors at night are very obvious while during the day this is just fine. Is this the correct behaviour or did I mess up my installation? This is still FS2002 btw.Btw. - now that switching between 2D panel and VC is no problem anymore I really get used to the great functionality of ActiveCamera. FS9 is going to be a really costly th…

I'm about to replace my video card. It's not listed as one of the things that affects the machine code in the FAQ, but I figured I'd ask the group here if I should transfer my license first.-Tim Metzinger

I know that there have been threads about panel and flood lights, but I flew last night and with the panel lights on could not read any of the numbers on the MCP or some of the main panel gauges were hard to read.I have the patch on and was wondering if this is my problem or the aircraft in general? I think there is a bug with how the ND shows the route when following a great circle navigation. Last night I flew a long flight from ENGM to KJFK. As this flight had the main purpose of testing my computers stability (have experienced crashes with FS9, but seems like I've fixed it now...), I just made a quick route with two waypoints, BBU and ERICK. As you can see in the attatched picture, the plane does not follow the route line in the ND. However when I checked the "flight analysis" in FS9, it appears that the plane actually follows a great circle line, so therfore my conclusion is that the route line in the ND does not follow a great circle line (Which it, AFAIK, shou…

Hello PMDG,I see SP1 was released to focus on performance issues, and I see there are still some problems after the patch. Sorry to hear that. I remember the level of quality stated at the time of announcement of this very over looked aircraft in FS was quite high. I was very disappointed to see the state of your product when I purchased on release day, no where near what I think what we (customers) were expecting and what you were aiming for.The current state it is far from what was promised, but I have faith that your commitment to give us a top quality product is still in your goal. We have not had 767PIC quality in any product since. All I hope for is a similar leve…

How do I get the PMDG 737 to have the Latest airac database in FS2004??!? The installation is simple and ok in FS2002 ( I just downloaded and installed the PMDG/PIC767 Airac 0308), but how do we do it for FS2004? Currently, my FMC shows no data at all in FS2004. Please help!!!:-hang

Hi,Call me dopey, or an idiot, or whatever. :-lol Found out there was a newer BIOS for my motherboard and installed it. Forgot to do something. Give ya one guess what it was(unless you're new here). Going to reinstall the PMDG 737. I'm just going to register at the website again. Hope that's ok.Jimmy Richards
