PMDG General Forum

Is there some website which can help me use the navigation system that comes with the 737? Since it operates nothing like the default 737, I'm confused! How Do I put in my flight planner and get the plane to go to that destination? Thanks!

I would like a KLM repaint as i'm not that good at painting therefore the request.PLEASE a KLM Royal Dutch Airline. I know that they only have 800 and 900 versions of the NG but still i cant wait:)Mikepolarairways.comA Polarairways would be nice but its just a VA and not a real thing.:)

Despite the fact that PMDG is working on some known VNAV issues, I continue to be impressed by this product. So firs, I must say Thank You to PMDG for pushing the FS envelope!Now, on to the flight. I setup a short flight from KBWI-KBDL to try out specific (yet very common) VNAV descent procedure. I must say that despite a small issue on the DES page of the FMC, my VNAV descent went just perfect to plan. Here is the setup:-Cruise at FL250-30NM to T/D point-A crossing restriction on my route at MAD VOR at 11,000'-This flight assumes ATC clears me at 30NM to T/D to descend early to 11,000'-I enter 11,000 in the MCP-Select DES NOW in FMCThis last point is important because I'…

The attached zip file contains a VERY DETAILED CHECKLIST and a reference file for the FS2004 Kneeboard. Unzip them to the main PMDG aircraft folders. The .gif files must be there.You will have to do one more thing to make the files work. In the main PMDG aircraft folders open the aircraft.cfg file. Under each aircraft change the entry, checklist=PMDG737NG_CHECK, to kb_checklist=PMDG737NG_CHECK. Open FS2004, choose one of the PMDG aircraft and load it. Press F10 and you should see the checklist and reference information by clicking the appropriate icon.I have checked these in FS2004. Hi all!, I was successful in mapping the R/H lateral rocker switch on my CH Prodcts USB 3 lever yoke, to the CF9 default autopilot heading bug increase & decrease functions. I cannot seem to be able to do this in 737NG, Is this not possable? Thanks From Jim

Hi folks...........I've notice when switching the view to spot plane view my fps dropped down into the single digits. When I minimized FS9 to the desktop, then opened it again, the fps jumped to 18-25. This happens every time I switch to spot plane view. Something's not right here.FS sliders are at 50%, except Terrain Texture which is set to high.Dave FisherCYYZ

Hey!When I have only FS2002 running the PMDG 737-700 seems to work fine, taking into account the known issues.However, when I also run FS Meteo, Flight Tracker and Active AirSource, which I always use for VA flying, then I have serious problems.I have only managed to complete 1 flight out of 5 using my normal setup. When minimizing to look at Meteo or to use the AAS program and then return to FS, the sim slows to a crawl, fps of 2-3. I mean screens freeze, the HD light flashes for up to 2 mins and generally FS becomes unuseable. I then have to exit and reboot.Guys, I know it is a complex aircraft, but I have most of the other popular ones and don't see this with those. So…

Hey guys,I am pulling what little hair I got out. I can not get any of the new liverys to work. The only one that I got to work is the Southwest with winglets livery. I have added textures so many times that I can do it in my sleep, so I can't figure out what it could be. All of my entrys in the aircraft.cfg seems to be right, all numbered correctly and so on. I am running 2004, with out the update. I have not done it, really because the planes seems to work very well, and I don't want to mess it up. I just can not add liverys for some reason.Help would be greatly appreciated.Vollmey

Hi! Thanks for a great plane! I have some problems with your 737 and fs2004. In fs2002 this things works great.1) I start my flight with everything shut down. Then start APU, and apu generators, etc. As usually. I begin to enter data of my flight to FMC, and then, MCP displays and FMC display became dark.. But apu and generators were working! I can fix that, only when i start engines, and start engine generators..2) I download airac from Navdata.at and install that to my msfs2004 folder. And i have some problems with it (as i think). Friends: I came across a problem at strange least in the 737NG. I don't get to tune in the decimal frequencies in the panel of radios. I only get to alter the whole numbers. For instance in 118.10 I only get to alter the 118. The decimal part, in this case the 10 don't get to alter. Did anybody already have the same problem? Better executionsJorge OliveiraSantar

Hi,I'm going to start designing a paint scheme of the VA I'm a pilot, but I have never made this before, so I have a couple of questions.There are several kind of files in the ZIP:.PSD & .TGA

I am on RWY 27 at EDDW and selected BASUM3I.27 SID. According tothe pictures I now have to turn 180 right after take-off. The realSID doesnt look like that at all. Have I done anything wrong? I havethat prob with other SID's as well.David P.EDDW

On my first two flights with SU1, I'm finding that doing a direct-to with an intercept course, the INTC setting has no effect at all. I just took of from KJKF 22R, flew to the east of the field. The course to MERIT was 045. I LSK'ed MERIT twice, put in 060 for INTC while I was heading 000, and armed LNAV. LNAV immediately engaged and turned toward MERIT on course 045. The map never showed the INTC 060.Is INTC working at all with SU1?Lee Hetherington (KBED)

I have too low framarates in general with 737 NG and realy bad in VC.My settings in fs9 is HIGH and traffic at 50 %, no antialiasing.I get 5-12 fps with 737 NG in VC, lowest on the ground.I get 10-14 fps with 737 NG in 2 D, lowest on the ground.When I try 737-400 default in VC, I have 14-18 fsp, which is flyableI have tried to go from HIGH to LOW setting and 10% traffic, but there is nearly no effect on framerates, locked at 25.My specs are:Pentium 4, 1.60 GHz 512 MB Ram.
