I have a problem with the downloaded navdata. It seems that it differs from the standard FS2004 flight-planner navdata. When I set up a flight from Heatrow to Schirpol with flightplanner and program it to the FMC this happenes (image)http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~kjorlaug/temp2/nav.jpgYou can see that the plane is 20-30 miles from the airport and the route is not so smooth as in the flightplanner. When i fly the route the route ends before I reach Schirpool. I have tried with both the lastest and older navdata. I put the navdata in FS2004FMCWPnavdata -folder.Torbjoern

Hi Gents737-700 with SU1 running cool on fs2002, excelent plane! But:I still have two problems not solved and would appreciate a step by step guidline to get rid of these two:1. FMC opens up at a very small size (could be a little bigger!) and on the wrong side of the 2D Panel: I am used to have it on the bottom right side (as real) and as I have it in PIC2. Throttle window is huge (after patch) [Patch was done after complete de- and reinstallation!] The window is too big and covers the MAZOFTRI buttonsWho has got it right, and can explain again

I am disapointed, I believed that my pc could handle 737 NG in fs9 with an installation exactly as prescribed, but after nearly every 'settings-combination' I am about to give up. I get 3 to 8 fps in VC, and 10 to 15 in 2D.With default aircrafts I get high fps with all sliders to the right.I have: xp pro. P4 1.6/512 GF-4, Ti 4400/128 the latest driversWhat is wrong and what shall I look fore if I buy new??Regards Ole

When I paste my own text in the notes.txt file they don't show up in the kneeboard within the sim.Why is that?ThanksJK

I noticed that the grammar for SID (SID NAME sidstarrunway sidstarrunways fixlist) differs from that of STAR (STAR NAME fixlist sidstarrunways).The critical difference is that the SID requires at least one runway to be associated with the SID NAME whereas the STAR requires zero or more runways. Was this by intent? And what is the corresponding interpretation: For example in the case of a SID that applies to all runways I am obligated to list them all (because I must specify at least one runway). But for a STAR that applies to all runways it appears that I can do so by omission OR by inclusion of all the runways (What other meaning could there be for a STAR with no run…

With the panel flood light off I find the MCP button lights (e.g., VNAV and LNAV) very dim at night. Apparently, they are drawn without IMAGE_USE_BRIGHT, and thus are subject to FS ambient lighting, which isn't appropriate for an LED.I haven't checked if other lit buttons have the same problem.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Hi guys,went for a flight yesterday from GCTS to EDDF. Being on final for Frankfurt (with Simflyers) my frames dropped to 3-4 and it has just been impossible to land. This does only happen with the PMDG 737, even RFP's 742 still has 8-9 frames. Any ideas? My specs: Athlon 1800XP+, 768MB Ram, Gf4Ti4200 64MB, Win XP Pro, FS2004 US edition.

I've just reinstalled into FS2004 after applying the latest patch over the first patch and making a complete balls up of it. I used the uninstall utility and installed the base program and the latest SP1. All seems fine except for a few problems i'm having that i did'nt have before. When taxiing after a flight the aircraft keeps rolling and will only stop if brakes are applied to bring it to a halt. Even when throttles at idle it will keep rolling at whatever speed you want. Don't know if this is normal or not.When in the air using heading select the aircraft overshoots the heading by about 10 degrees and has to correct itself.The same goes for altitude. I have posted on avsim dowload file section a VERY DETAILED CHECKLIST and Reference data for the PMDG aircraft that can be viewed in the FS2004 kneeboard.The reference file is basically the same as the reference information in PMDG's Operations Manaual. Indeed, for the most part it is a GIF copy and paste file.The checklist is a highly detailed file containing all procedures from the time the pilot enters the cockpit until the pilot exits the cockpit. Hi All, I tried the great manual of Fred from Denver to LAX and the takeoff and crusie were all ok except I had great difficulty with the autoland. Whenever, I try to set a flap or put the gear down. Plane started to climb and accelerate thus rendering autolanding impssible. It took 3 go arounds to land. I experienced this both in my first tutorial flight KDEN-KLAX and afterwards.Another anomaly is that when my PFD shows the FL330 and MCP is fixed on 33000, flightsim flight level was reading 33540, despite I had standard QNH 29.92. Hi! Firstly I would like to say that I am very satisfied with my purchase of your fine product 737-NG. But I have encountered a few problems:1. I used the cold and dark situation file and was setting up my plane for a flight. I started the APU and turned on APU generators etc. Then I continued to configure the plane, program the FMC and so on, until suddenly all screens became black and all electronics was turned off.Was it a battery discharge? And in that case, how could it happen when i turned on the APU generators?This happen every time if I am not fast enough to turn on the engines and use that generators instead. I have an E-Mail into PMDG but maybe one of you can advise me.After I paid, got my confirmation number and password, I went to the download But here's what is happening. Where I get to the download page, the word "here" is in black and the cursor arrow doesn't change into a pointing finger. I'm having the SID/STAR problem. I can't get them to display in the FMC. I've read the other post regarding this problem and I do have NETBIOS installed in XP home. According to the folder they are all in the right spot.BTW, I'm using FS9 and have the patch installed.Any ideas?Dave FisherCYYZ

I was testing out the great circle navigation KLAS-ORD-KORD, and all was going well. I then entered ORD/-900 as a waypoint and saw the attached FMC and map display. Hi there. I think this may be more related to FS than PMDG, but as it's effecting my flying of the 737, and there's a high level of knowledge in this forum, I thought I'd ask. I've searched the other forums, and it seems to be a problems others have, but answers are short.On landing, when I engage F2 for the thrust reversers, they come on momentarily, then go off again. I've tried keeping the key pressed, pressing many times, etc., and the reversers just keep popping on and off. I've tried assigning F2 to another key, in case it was that key not working, but same thing.Am I doing something wrong?Thanks,Mike

I fly short hops (CYVR-CYYJ, CYVR-KSEA, and so on) because I have young children at home and don't have a whole lot of time to sit behind the monitor for hours at a stretch.When flying, I prefer to start at the gate and then go through ATC for clearances, active runway assignments, taxiing to the gate, etc. Once in the air, FS9 ATC always vectors me away from the airport, along my way, and then to the destination airport. For FS9 ATC, there seems not to be SID or STARTS. That said, occasionally, during one of my longer short hops (say, CYVR-KSEA), ATC will tell me to resume my own navigation, but even this is only for quite a short time.For short hops especially, is th…

Hi, It is not so well related with PMDG but anyway I can ask.I upgraded today graphic card from a geforce 2 - 64 GTS to a radeon 9600 pro. Also 2 weeks ago I added more 512 DDR 333 and a processor 2500 XP. Before it was a 2100 XP athlon. Also the motherboard is a newer one.1. FS 2002 runs with less frames, although the system is far better2. FS 2004 tries to load the textures but simply disappears and doesnt load anything any more3. Does it have to do with drivers?
