Hi All, Frankly, I'm embarrassed to ask this question, as it's quite petty from my point of view, but what the heck, I'll throw it out there anyways.Sometimes, on a long night transcon flight, I'll go on back to some of the wing views and kinda sit and watch the city lights..etc.. pass by below, and then when you swing the view point back to the cabin, if the computer room is dark, man is it really really bright white. Not bad in the daytime, but at night if your eyes have adjusted to the darkness outside the windows, the cabin lighting can kind of be harsh on the eyes. Anyway, would kinda be cool if there were a dimmer switch to tone the lighting down at night, I suppo…

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make both left and right tanks match if I change the fuel levels in MSFS.The left always shows 100% eventhough I put 50% in both left and right.I do have unlimited fuel deselected. Another ? is do I have to update the load manager for each initial use of MSFS or can I kepp it static and it will be used for all flights until I make a change.ThanksSU1 FS9P4 1.9/512/GF4-4200 64megAndy

Will SU2 address some/all of the pressurization logic issues that have been raised in the forum?I also have a very difficult time reading the pressurization gauges on the overhead panel - they're very blurry. Will these be sharpened up at all in SU2?Thanks,Jason Barlow

Hi again GuysJust thought I'd let you know that the reason I bought the PMDG Boeing 737NG was because of one of the latest 3 hour "Just Plane" DVD's I received last week from the U.S It features the Brazilian low-cost airline GOL and its fleet of B737-700 aircraft on various flights around the country. Great in-cockpit shots plus some wonderful landscape. Must say how impressed I am by the accuracy of your sim with the real-thing in terms of looks and operation.More info here: www.justplanes.comRegardsAdam Moore

Tried to install this plane in FS2004 (yes, and chose that option in the installer)FS2004 reports that it is incompatible and gives me the option of installing it or not but whatever I choose FS2004 will not run anymore!Bit annoying, eh?Alan

  8. OK purchased and downloaded your Boeing 737 last night. Installation went smoothly and first impressions are very good.QUESTION TIME!!1) How do I import flight plans made in FsNavigator (there is a tool for doing this apparently?)The FMC database + SID/STAR software does not appear to be that comprehensive and doesn't include many airport SIDs/STARs for Europe (EGKK for example has none). I can generate flightplans using FsNavigator which includes most SID/STAR proceedures for all the major airports. Can I turn these into PMDG FMC readable files to import into the FMC?(EDIT: Just seen another post re:this further "down" the forum)2) On the ground I was continually stampin…

I hope this post is acceptable here, but I figured this is the easiest way to target PMDG users. :-)For those of you who use FSNavigator to create flight plans, I've built a DLL to directly export flight plans to the PMDG RTE format. The flight plans can then be imported into the FMC on the 737NG. It is currently possible to do this indirectly by using the excellent PLN to RTE converter from Alan WL Chan, but this will enable you to skip a few steps in the process. If you are interested in testing the DLL, please send me a private message on the forum with your email address. I'll upload the DLL to the file libraries as soon as the bugs are worked out.Aaron Huber

IRL when pressing the TOGA button (or screw) the first push should set 42.5% Check "two stable" then push again for the selected take-off thrust setting. I know that SU2 will have a button, but will it be the same as now, 1st push achieve take-off power or will it be a two push affair? On a lighter note, if this sim gets much more realistic, the next thing we'll be asking for is sector pay :-)

Here's another one.Even with the ground power ON the battery discharges. What is even more disturbing is the fact that when the APU or the GPU delivers (apparently too little)power, the BAT DISCHARGE lights goes out. WHY ? The battery discharges all the time! RegardsBernt Stolle Capt CRJ

Here's another problem.1.With the ground power available the flaps need about 5min to extend to 25deg!!!!, then they get stuck. No more up or down.2.Same with the APU running!3.The alternate extension doesn't work at all.The manual states that the alternate extension switch has to beheld in the down positionuntil the flaps are at the desired setting. Not possible here. The switch jumps back to the OFF position.RegardsBernt Stolle Capt CRJ

Hi Folks,Just bought the 737 flew around a bit, tried starting it up with the use of the original 737 OM etc...I DID search this forum but haven't found anything about these issues.1. If you switch the battery ON, start the APU and switch the APU Generators ON, the battery still discharges and after a few minutes, the PFD and ND goes black ?!Only starting at least one engine and switching on the respective generator, the battery starts charging again.2. I was really surprised that the WHOLE aft overhead panel is missing!!!!I mean, there are not only the IRSs but also the Engine EECs, crew and pax oxygen etc... missing. Is there anything planned for SU2 ?RegardsBernt Stolle…

Now that I've sorted out my livery-gear issue and am flying near-perfect CAT 3 Duals I have a question related to the FMC. I don't see where this item will be incorporated into the next service release. The issue or item concerns the lack of a feature to see the list of saved flight plans from within the FMC itself. Unless I missed something, it would certainly be a good idea to incorporate such a feature into the FMC.ThanksLen

I've always wondered why designers don't simply model a third engine (without significant thrust output of course) that could be used as a 'APU' with a recharging generator that really works in FS2004. In addition, this engine/APU would consume kerosene just like it's real life counterpart and would require flight planning accordingly.

Good morning and thank you for such a beautiful plane. I tried the tutorial last night (FS9) and had a great time but didn't get too far. I get to the point of starting to program the FMC and after a couple of minutes, all my two main panel guages, along with the FMC just go out/dark on me a few minutes later...blank. Battery and APU start-up sequence seems to go fine and I'm starting with my default plane (c182) with red master switch off and avionics switch first on, then off...same result. The overhead panel appears to exactly match the tutorial. I do not have FSUIIPC separately from the version that came with the PMDG, but the battery problem mentioned in the tut…

It seems like I no sooner get past one issue I am stumbling onto something else.Let me explain. First, I started flying Tim's tutorial again in an effort to better understand the sophistication of the 737NG FMC. After leveling off at 15000, and passing SAVOY, I reset the HDG to 150 and the ALT to FL290 on the MCP and pressed LVL CHG. While the A/C was climbing I went to the LEGS page and selected MYERZ and DIRECT and selected LNAV. I hit the EXEC before changing the ALT (/290), so I made the change after pressing EXEC. Since the MCP ALT had 15000 displayed I then changed it to 33000 and pressed VNAV but nothing happened except "CHECK MCP ALT". After reading all I could fi…

I was wondering if it would be possible to simulate the autobrakes system and the way it works as on a real NG.In MSFS it's quite weird that the Autobrake starts braking the airplane when the main gear hits the ground and the nose wheel is still in the air. If the Autobrake brakes the airplane while still in nose up attitude the nose would downfall and crash into the runway.Maybe you guys could make the autobrake system activate only when aircraft is on the ground AND pitch is less than 1 degree nose up. This could be achieved by making a new gauge which brakes the AC when FSUIPC variables tell that the aircraft is on ground and pitch is less than 1

Just curious what type of system everyone has and what they put they're sliders on to achieve best flying with the PMDG? I am getting 512 more RDRAMM tomorrow to add to my 256 in there now....and am using a ATI 9600 Pro 256 mb video card. I also have a 2.4 pentium processor. Just curious what everyone else uses and how they feel about it. As of now, i have most sliders set on normal, except for texture complexity. I got 14-25 fps on a flight from PHX-SAN-SFO....but then flew today from ORD-CYUL and barely got in the teens, making a difficult landing. Let's hear it!!also...when installing new memory, do all i do is just put it in? or are there settings i need to twea…

I have been having this problem is FS2002 and FS2004 when I have never had this problem before. I get these two messages on the FMC, and cannot engage VNAV, it says "unable crz alt and vnav disconnect." I have read earlier posts regarding weight and TOC being further than TOD, but these are not the problems. For example, when planning a trip KLAS-KSNA at FL240 with about 15k lbs. of fuel, I still get this and can't understand why, these are very normal numbers for this type of segment for a 737-700. Like I said, I have never had these problems before and all of the sudden they appeared?? Any suggestions. Thanks.
