I'm currently using FSBuild2.1 to build flightplans, And I have to manually change the cruising Altitude just about every time, because the program sets it too high.I have a Hard time getting the aircraft past FL370, with a struggle I can get it to FL390 and forget about over FL400.What should I be cruising at? And is there a site I can look at that can tell me the various Altitudes of the airways? I'd hate to smack anothe Bird heading West, when I'm heading East, because I'm at the same Alt. as him.Also, what's the Service Ceiling for the PMDG 737-600/700's anyways?ThanksPaul.

Is it just me, or do the holding patterns on the ND look very 'thin'. I set the following hold up at 230 kts with 10 mile legs. when it was drawn on the ND, it looked very thin, and the autopilot had difficulty in making the turns tight enough to keep on the line (in fact, it overshot every time).Phil Brownhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/46870.jpg

I have some questions about AI. I obviously want planes at airports for realism. I downloaded project ai installers and packages. I have AFCAD too. With the sliders all the way to the right, ai barely seem to do anything. Few planes sit at the gates (a few UAL at ORD, but no AAL). I have both of those packages installed too. I went to ATL at rush hour and saw barely any traffic. There were delta jets at the gate, but no activity. And delta was the only carrier there. I then downloaded the uninstaller to get rid of default orbit, soar, ect planes. but they are still there. CVG had like 3 total planes, 1 delta. With the sliders maxed, about 20 different packages installed, …

Hiya,Just installed the 737 but can't get the stairs to come down. I can get both doors and cargo doors to open but no stairs. Also, the doors do not appear open in the virtual cabin, neither does the flight deck or toilet doors open. Is that right???Any help appreciated.Richard

Hiya. I have a problem with the Aloha Airlines textures. The normal PMDG planes are fine, cabin cockpit and all. The aloha textures are fine on the outside, but the virtual cabin and cockpit are just bare white/grey. The guages appear but not the textures. Whats up guys?Richard

I'm experiencing a pretty significant lateral cross track error with a valid route programmed into the FMC and LNAV/Autopilot engaged. As you can see in the attached screenshot, my lateral track to the current waypoint (LAS VOR) is about 10 miles off course center. Hi, bought, downloaded & installed the sofware yesterday and I congratulate the team on an excellent product. 737NG, IMHO, rates as good as anything I've seen, (I generally use PSS products) and its nice to have an additional aircaraft at my disposal with more scope than the standard MSFS offerings.I also helped myself to a few liveries at the same time and I am now wondering if I am correct that you can only have one installed for each variant of the 737NG at any one time? (600/700/winglets) It seems that is the intent but I can't find anything in black or white to be sure. Thanks for the help in advanceMike.

Sigh, here's a new problem.The PMDGs 737 stall behaviour is completely unrealistic.There is absolutely NO pitch down at the stall, instead she enters a deep stall like a CRJ or BAC 111with the C.G. too far aft.If the stall behaviour would be that way, a stick pusher would be fitted.Even worse, if you depart without a programed FMC you don't get ANYstall warning or barber pole at all!!!!!!!!Regards Bernt Stolle Capt CRJ

Hi all,I would like to know the right/best way to perform a Go Around.Last time I tried, both my landing gear and my flaps were damaged.How do I quickly abort the landing, and get away from the airport quickly? Does anyone know how the new 737 impacts on FS04 framerates? I am thinking of getting it and now average about 15-20 fps. My system is a P4 2.8, 1gig ram, with a NVIDIA GF4 4600G card. Thanks, Tom

Hi everyone ;)Ok well I didnt seem to have this problem when I first got the PMDG 737NG however somethings is not right now. Ive registered the FSUIPC and all is well with that I guess. However no matter what fuel I place in the left hand tank i.e number 1 tank the fuel onboard seems to stay the same all fuel pumps are on for the whole flight and still the left hand tank doesnt move its reading from 8260. The problem starst when using fuel as an imbalance occurs cause the aircraft to yaw left even taxing becomes a slight problem.Even if I set only 50 % of fuel in all tanks the left hand tank doesnt read the same as the right hand tank.Could this be linked to my fsuipc mod…

Sorry for all of these posts guys :) I did a few searches, but came to no real conclusion...Just a simple question: Every time I set the ZFW loads, and save the config, exit the programme, and restart it, the load manager is reset. am I doing something wrong? or is this the default behaviour of the programme, and the settings *are* getting saved into the air file?CheersDan

I have been flying the 767 of Wilco Publishing for three years so it's not that I don't know how to operate a FMC. I have tried the limited manual that comes with the PMDG software and also the very well writen Metzinger's Manual, but it still does'nt work. When I try to program the airports and the route I get a message in the FMC saying "data not found". It also appeares that the font in the FMC's display is totaly out of scale and distorted. I have tried the technical support but have had no luck in getting a good respon…

Sirs,What failures does the PMDG feature? Do you have events like the PIC767? I'm talking about random events like tire bursts, compressor surges, flameouts, fuel/oil leaks, pressurisation failures and so on. Am I right in thinking the NG is a training simulator? Maybe these features will come with the 800, or maybe not at all?Cheers,Paul

Hi all, Just though I would share my findings with you all. I have recently bought a Nvidia FX5600 256ddr Gainward card. This is rated at x8. I set x8 in my bios and was getting quite poor framerates from the PMDG around 10-15fps which I was not happy about because I was expecting more. I was playing around with the bios today and found if I set the AGP port to Auto I get a massive framerate difference. I am getting around 30-70 fps but locked it at 50. Im really happy about this finding, Perhaps there may be other out there who may have teir port settings set wongly.RegardsDavid Cyber Air 062.

Ok Guys pay attention here. For my last two flights which were from Venezuala to Columbia, since i decided to fly a little bit outside of the US and explore South America. I used FSBuild and created a flight plan and saved it for PMDG and FSNavigator. started everything normally took off and arrived at my cruising altitude, but after that the airpalane went out of control and started climing, and descending. the autopilot stoped controling the aircraft speed rose to 580 Knots at one time went back to around stall speed, and of course after all that the Sim realized that the aircraft went to much of control and shut down.and the problem is that this happened for two straig…

Hello,Thanks PMDG for this wonderful aircraft.I have some questions to guys who are flying with NG a bit longer than me:How do you put FMC flying direct to some waypoint? In real 737-500 there is a DIR INTC button (first in second line) but PMDG has MENU key instead of this. I dont know if it should be with NG series so or not, but I messed with it long time without getting solution :( I also tried to delete the active waypoint from LEGS menu so logically it should take the next waypoint on the list but it didnt work out, system didnt allow to erase active wpoint.--And is there a TOGA switch in PMDG panel? According to 737 CBT disc the TOGA switch should be on the throttl…
