Hello!My altitude horn doesn

Hello PMDG,Not meaning to gripe on a brill product, but I cannot get any of the sid/stars to work after installation of SU2. I have read in other posts that I should not need any after the SU2 install, but no matter what airport I use, they all display NONE when trying to select a SID or a STAR. I have just downloaded the EHAM one posted on this group by Dutch Commando, and will be testing that one, but what about the rest - are we waiting for an updated release of these? Just on a "would like to know basis" really - in the meantime I will just use FSNav to plot the whole route ... but some online ctrllers do not like the lengthy route FSNav comes up with very often.I hav…

PMDG,Would it be possible to also provide the liveries as textures only, besides the automatic installers?I for one, prefer it it this way, so I don't have so many options (4 per texture) in the aircraft.cfg, which makes it difficult to edit when adding a repaint provided on Avsim. HiAfter having my account reset, I was able to d/l the SU2 update with no problems, even after disconnection, the resume feature still worked.However, I decided to continue my d/l today, and suprise suprise my d/l is reporting the same old error "server has internal error".So even after having my account reset, and after wasting a heck amount of time trying to d/l this file (at least 8 hrs we're talking about), will I ever be able to d/l my update, quite unlikely I feel.Can you PLEASE do something about this server error because there is currently no way of completing the d/l, maybe even locate the file onto a different server and allow me to d/l it from there.Help would …

Hi, First of all, the new SU looks perfect !!! I read something about the new manuals for SU 2But the manuals in this update are version 1.2 or so.Are those the new manuals ( with the new functions, expecially the new functions in FMC) ???Thanx

Hi Guys, What a great job done of SU2 congrats for that. Now all is needed maybe is a greater numer of sids/stars( please,please ) It would make those people who use the PMDG for online flying a lot easier. But congrats anyways and have a super Xmas.Dave.

Hi,I just installed SU2 and was trying to program a flight from KMCI to KLAS.My route is: WLDCT2 SLN DCT GCK J110 FMN J64 PGS LYNSY2My problem occurs when trying to input FMN in the right hand column across from J110. I get an Invalid Entry Error. I also get this error when inputting J64 in the VIA column.Any help apprecitated.Sean Green

Hi!Thank you for the wonderful SU2/v1.2 NG! It works perfectly on my end! :DBut there is one thing I was wondering about, I think I read somewhere on this forum that SU2/v1.2 was supposed to include CWS simulation so that the PMDG NG should be able to auto taxi after landing (or something like that)Is this simulated? Hi pilots,first I`ve to say: Great work - great plane !!!I`ve only one big problem: No matter in what phase of flight, no matter if with complete flightplan and settings in the FMC oder not, every time I activate the AP after one second it disconnects an the the same problem occurs when using LNAV/VNAV and so on.The aircraft does ignore every command by FMC or AP:(Wthat am I doing wrong ?I can`t find anything in the tutorials about that.Gr

G'day,Since I'm the happy owner of a dreamfleet 737-400, which doesn't fly in fs9, I'm now one step away from buying the PMDG 737NG.But, a question, should I wait for a week or two?I'm reading topics like;- no server capacity.- corrupt downloads.- problems with FMC.- problems with liveries.- choosing pmdg crashes to desktop.and more of the same and similar.I'm confident (eehhh..) this will not happen on my high end system, but I'm not wanting to take any risks.Having read the forum during the development of SU2 personally I think it's more error's from the user then the product itself.What do you think I should do? Hi,When using GoFlight MCP the autopilot of the PDMG doesn't respond because the commands seems to be different with respect to the default FS Boeing. Is there a way to synchronize the readings of PDMG with GoFlight?ThanksRobert

it's a shame you have to plan a flight for a singe sitting if you want to use the FMC for VNAV and LNAV. I have VNAV working and FMC speed but cannot get LNAV to work on account of being unable to delete the first waypoint in the plan.Aw well - I guess I'll hafta stay at the controls and fly laterally manually.Andy b

Hi, when I load a route into the FMC, and put all the important things into it. And then when I on climb engage the A/P and push the LNAV and VNAV buttons, I get FMC First message right above the HSI. I open the FMC and get NOT ON INTERCEPT HEADING and VNAV DISCONNECT UNABLE CRZ ALT messages. Well, I must be doing something really wrong :D Because I tried 5 diffrent flightplans. Captains,I noted that the Southwest Airlines Classic livery available on our download server has a rating of 2.5 stars while the other four available liveries have ratings of 5.0. As the artist responsible for this livery, I'm curious as to what it is about this particular paint that has earned it this rating. If you've rated this livery less than 5 can you please let me know what leads you to this rating. I'd love to have a chance to address any concerns you have about this one.Thanks.

I love the new update! Cograts to the entire PMDG team! My question is when will the Southwest Shamu repaint be available for the 600 model. Im really looking forward to this one ever since see the shots posted here a while back. ALso can someone post A shot of it on the PMDG 737-600, since the pics, posted here a while ago have been wiped out over time.ThanksRobert Feddersen

While attempting to test my homemade STAR, I encountered a speed problem. My cruise altitude for the trip was FL200 (short trip). Upon reaching T/D, the aircraft slowed to 240kts, and descended to FL187. VNAV and LNAV were both engaged. On the descent page, I had 290/.755 chosen as my descent speed, with the usual 10,000 foot restriction of 240kts. On the speed tape, the speed bug was down at 240kts. My climb, cruise, and descent speeds were all identical, 290/.755.Any ideas why this happened? My STAR is nothing out of the ordinary. No speed or altitude restrictions, just a windy path consisting of six legs.Kenny Rogers

Last night I finally downloaded SU2. Thanks to the advice on the PMDG download site, I used Download Manager Plus. It took about 4 1/2 hours with my regular phone line and modem and stopped several times with the message "download unsatisfactory due to internal server error". I thought everything was lost and that I would have to start all over as I have had to do in the past. Surprisingly, when I hit download to retry, DMP kicked in and the download continued right from where it aborted. This happened about 4 more times but I finally got the whole thing, all 67.04 megs! My question is - am I OK with this file after so many interruptions - is the download still good, or m…

I am busy at work on my home airport SIDSTAR file. For added realism I am including the visual approaches. I will need to create some fixes.If I give a fix a name that already exists in the AIRAC files or in another SIDSTAR file, will this create a problem? Or do my SIDSTAR fixes only apply to that airport? I would like to assign names that make sense (ie. "RIVER", "POINT", "BEACH", etc), but I don't want to use a fix name that exists elsewhere in the world.Next question: What is the maximum number of characters that a fix name can have?
