Just completed a 5 1/2 hour flight from KSEA to PHOG. This is around the 15th flight I've completed over the last five days with the new V2 PMDG 737 and so far I must say it's GREAT! I'm an old 767 PIC and Dreamfleet 737 guy who moved over the the PMDG 737 about five months ago and am very impressed with their work. Anyway, after five and a half hours of open ocean I was finally cleard for an ILS approach and landing on rwy 02 in Maui. I normally like to hand fly the final approach but today thought I'd let the plane do all the work. I quickly captured the LOC and GS, set final approach speed and flaps, and the autopilot kept the needles nice and centered all the way…

Thanks guys for all the hardwork you have put in and the support you give to all us desk jockies. I am going to get myself a beer and spend an hour or so 'reading the manuals' so that I don't to ask any more 'dum' questions and you get a few hours off.Best wishesKeith B.

I have completed a SIDSTAR file but now comes the huge task of testing each and every SID, STAR, approach and missed approach, including all transitions. This is a lot of flying! Each time I want to test a STAR, I have to fly an entire flight from airport to airport. Instead of performing an entire flight from airport to airport just to test a STAR, can I begin a flight from Top Of Descent? Can I enter a flight plan into the FMC while airborne? I would like to start each test flight approximately 100NM from destination, where I will enter the STAR and the approach data into the FMC.Kenny Rogers

Hello all,I already posted this question in reply to an earlier message, but as I am fairly new to this forum and it inner workings, i'll repost my earlier question here.A few days ago i did see that someone (Mac_Paint) posted a screenshot of a 737-700 in SN BRUSSELS Airlines colors. Being from Belgium, I would like to say that I am very insterested in that livery and would like to know if is it available somewhere. If it is, could you also mention where it can be downloaded?P.S. Excuse me if you think this post is misplaced, but I repeat that I replied to the sender earlier but did not get any response. Therefore I am trying it this way.Merry Christmas to all.JP.

Hi Folks,I have downloaded the SU2 several times now (using DA 5.3) and when I try to open the zip or extract the files I get "file corrupt" message. After the first time I tried turning off my Norton Security firewall, but the file was still corrupt. The second time I turned off my WinXP firewall but had the same result. I have been deleting the corrupt file before re-downloading.Any ideas anyone?Dave Logan

A recent problem has developed with my system. FS9 and the PMDG737 crash to desktop mid way through a flight. I have recently upgraded my drivers to Nvidia 53.03 not sure if this is the problem. I am going to reinstall my previous version to see if this make any difference. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. On another issue what does the "render to texture" do in FS9 and should this be ticked?System Spec P4 3.0Ghz 1G DDR400 RAM Nvidia TI4600 VideoRegards,Andrew.

HelloI am still having the ILS approach problem, where everything is fine until about 6 miles out - aircraft is descending nicely with the glide slope - airspeed is about 160 knots - all of sudden the plane stops following the glide slope, the nose rises and I am forced to disable A/P and land the plane myself. Except, when I attempt to land manually the plane starts flying "sideways" and the landing is an embarrassment.I am using ActiveSky 2004, but have the wake turbulance disabled - I thought this may be part of my problem.Any ideas or similar experiences???Thank you.

Hi all at pmdg and the forum. I have flown many successful flights with the 737-700,but 1 small detail is bugging my lack of knowledge at this moment in time, so hoping someone can enlighten me. What are the conditions of flight when VNAV passes control back to SPEED. ie one cannot press VNAV to let the FMC control the speed. On my last flight i seemed to be configured correctly from cruise and decent but the system would not allow me to press VNAV, it worked realy well with manual speed control from the autopilot panel, but just want to know what area i am not configuring correctly for VNAV to be able to take control..( on this flight I manually adjusted the speed and al…

I saw a few screenshots here in the forum, so I thought I'd post my contribution. I took this shot during a sunset approach to O'hare. I love this aircraft! (I have the original 1600x1200 version if anyone wants it. It makes a great desktop wallpaper.)link removed - shot too big - sorry! Ken Salter

Now I want to reinstall your 737NG - I have the original downloaded files that are about 1 year old. I do also have my order ID and password. What do I do now? Should I just reinstalled your 737? And you have just emailed me an update link (14/12/2003)Kind regards, mads

Hello PMDG and fellow simmers,I've been reading the topic regarding the sim crashing to desktop during the selection of the aircraft before the flight. I have also experienced this problem and read that selecting the default FS aircraft (Cessna) solves this problem, yes it does, however this gets a little bit more complicated.Ok, I select Cessna and then 737-700 from the aircraft list (I can put up with this) everything is fine up until approximately 75nm from the departure, the sim crashes directly to the desktop. Unfortunately this only happens to the 737NG, all other aircraft works fine. Initially I thought the problem was related to the ActiveSky2004 since I just rece…

Just a quick question. If I set all of the failures to "random", what are the odds of something failing? In other words, how often can I expect a failure? I didn't notice any way to adjust it such as a percentage chance, a failure roughly every X hours, etc. I'm a bit nervous about turning this on because I fly online and don't want to do an emergency landing every day. I would love to have some failure which could be major or minor occur once or twice a month though. Please let me know how often it would happen.-Shaun

Hello,I just read in the forum that one can delete the fs9.cfg file and let FS build a new one by restarting the sim in case the nosewheel on the 737-700 2D panel no stairs does not turn. Some users did this, and it solved their problem, but i think it is a bit too drastical. FS9.CFG contains some other important parameters that all are reset to their default values on a rebuild.Myself, i tuned FS to my preferences and do not like to touch the CFG file anymore. Like other users me too have the problem of the nosewheel not turning on the taxiway. My question is this? What is the parameter in FS9.CFG to let that nosewheel turn. If someone could answer this question then I may…

Reading the manual, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the right CDU is ed... very cool!!However, after noticing that the route seemed to be exactly the same as the left CDU, and after seeing that both CDUs use the same gauge file, I began to wonder if they're really sepaprate CDUs.For the purpose of my question, let's assume they're not: what are the benefits of having two CDUs? I mean, what can I do in the sim to utilize both? Thanks,James

I think this is more of an FS defect than anything, but maybe someone here can offer insight. I've noticed that if you are in spot view and you open doors *other* than the "main" door (whatever SHIFT+E+1 is bound to) and then you switch to the main panel, you can never toggle anything but the main door again (unless you reload the aircraft or restart your situation). SHIFT+E+2 will instead close the main door, as will SHIFT+E+3, and 4 and 5 and so forth - but you can never again toggle the state of the AFT door - it remains perpetually open for the balance of the flight.I have tried the suggested fixes of remapping the open/close keys with no avail. It's very consisten…

Yet I dont know how long I need to have them deployed...the entire descent? Please fill me in. I love this plane!! BRad Zimmer

PMDG,I was just wondering if we would ever see the Weather Display be functional? Maybe in the upcoming version of the 737? Or maybe the 747?Was it not included due to the difficulty of doing so, or just FS not being capable? Thanks so much guys!Sincerely,Nathan Neitzke

PMDG,I am thoroughly enjoying your product, and I do firmly believe it is the best addon for FS out there! However, ever since I received SU2 I have been experiencing random crashes of FS only while flying the 737NG. These crashes did not occur with the SU1 version. In an attempt to fix the problem I reinstalled Windows XP, Flight Sim 2004, SU2, and got the latest Navdata - 0312. However, this was to no avail as I am still getting the crashes.Basically, the sim crashes, shows the error reporting dialog, then fs closes and restarts itself.Any ideas?Oh, and I wanted to add - this may be a stupid question, but where can I find the trim indicator so I can see my current stab …
