hello from downunder, not long had su2 upgrade and it is a great improvment.only one problem that is occuring, when i tune in both ils freqs. into nav radios,am on correct course heading and at correct alltitude,have pushed vor loc switch,vor tracks, once lined up and ils showng on screen push app switch and hit 2nd autopilot switch.everything fine , vor is in the green, g/s appears , just when everything looks good for an autoland, autopilot disengages, very frustrating. i am always lined up with runway and on an ils approach but have to manually land all of the time , if any one can help it wouldbe much appreciated.

Greetings,I just installed the update and had a question. In the old version, if you wanted to just take off without a flight plan and use the AT and not program the FMC, I did the following: Set speed, turn off/on the generators, hit the FD and AT buttons, then hit the N1 and she was good to go down the runway. That doesn't seem to be the case now. Is there is separate TO/GA button somewhere that I can't see. I can't for the life of me find it if in fact, there is one. I know you have to use TO/GA mode for under 400ft. but I could use a little help here, please?Thank you for your help.Sincerely,Hans Groenewold

Would someone be able to give information as how to install the new service updatde 2.I do'nt know if I hve to remove my pmdg 737 -700 and all my saved flight plans and then install the new exe.file that I have received by E-mail fom PMDG.or the exe. file will automaticley take care of evrything.Thank you all.Amir. :-xxrotflmao

Can anyone tell me what that sound is?? I can only describe it as a very fast clicking sound when the 737 is in the 2D look head panel view. It sounds like an old fan running. I have tried every switch to see if I can shut it off, but no luck. Any ideas????ThanksKevin

when tracking inbound in the NG do i have to set the recipricol or does the NG have a advanced radial tracker and i dont?adamYou cant truley understand flying until you have actually tasted and felt it.

Just wanted to say congrats on releasing a spectacular product!One request...Please, on the next release make the GPWS and other sounds in VC an option on the PMDG menu. I think there are a good number of us who don't care whether or not we hear callouts in spot view, because we are flying the plane from the cockpit.Thanks!!Jeff

I just purchased the beautiful PMDG 737 (SU2) last week and have spent 5 or 6 sessions practicing. So far, I have been unable to get her airborne and stable at cruise level. I have followed the tutorial by Timothy Metzinger meticulously (I think) and have no problem with all the pre flight, engine start, etc.. I have previously used the PIC 767, Dreamfleet 737 and PSS 747 successfully. I am beginning to wonder if I have a problem with my install..or am I brain dead?!?! For example, I set the initial altitude at 5,000, get airborne following the PFD/FD climb angle, then turn on AP, increase the speed to 250 knots and she just keeps climbing past 5,000 and never getting…

Hey guys, Looking at the PMDG737 looks amazing, and seems to be so from all the reviews I have heard. I love accurate simulations like PIC and DF. But here's my deleima. Do I buy it. how does it perform on a 1 gig rig with a geforce 2mx 400 and FS2k2? I have heard the VC kills it but there's a model with out, is that true? Hi yall--sry to bring this up but I noticed the rudder animation and the animation for the Trim is broken. When, (I am on the ground) I move the rudder a full defection, the rudder turns for a minute and then returns to center, even though I am holding down full rudder. In the air the animation works fine--is this maybe an FS limitation because the rudder is not supposed to move with nosewheel in contact with ground?For the TRIM--the stabliizer moves but then immediately snaps back to center, it does move as it should with trim, it starts to move and then goes right back to neutral trim

Hi all,I know were not out of the woods RE SU2 yet but I just want to comment on future products, like the 738/9 and 744....Your VC's are the best ever, and if you use them with active camera 2004 (with the vibrations and judders of your viewpoint) it is almost like being in a real aircraft! This is the first airplane I fly exclusivly with VC because its that good. Now, in future releases do you think that you could allow ALL buttons to be used in the VC? At present only the main panel can be manipulated in VC, it would be good to have the overhead and pedstall working, so we could start up and flick buttons in flight without having to switch back to 2D everytime. How can I enter a speed and altitude constraint? For example, I just flew from KPHX to KABQ. The RW (3) at KABQ is about 5300 feet. I tried enroute to enter slower speeds and altitudes into the FMC's RTE page, but it said INVALID ENTRY. For autoland it probably would've been fine I guess, but I disengage about 10 miles for a visual hand fly. Also, during this flight I tried to let A/T slow the plane down by selecting speed on the MCP and lowering to 180. It didn't slow down, so I had to just disengage A/T. By the way, it was still in LNAV descending. Obviously this won't work like this? How does the real world do it without compromising it's descent?Chris

I am continually amazed at what can be done within the framework of MSFS.Just a few comments regarding the performance data that you provided in the 737 PMDG flight manual documentation:1. In both the "Required Takeoff Field Length" and the "Required Runway Length Wind Correction Table [for landing]," the negative wind values are tailwinds, and the positive wind values are headwinds, not the inverse as is stated in the documentation. Contrary to what the documentation states, the resulting "Corrected Runway Length" is not the actual runway length that will be needed in those wind conditions. Hello there!I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem.Ever since I downloaded SU2 I get CTD just as I'm on the final leg of landing, can happen in mid flight too.(First test flight went ok though). Been trying both in FS9 and FS2002.No error messages, nothing, just ctdHave 20.0 FPS constantly(locked at 20) all the way then it just ctd for no apparent reason. This is nothing major at all--I just noticed one small thing--looking at the text for Runway turn off lights--at least on my copy, it looks as if the text is just a tad bit distorted but not a ton? Any ideas-im definitely not trying to cause trouble--just a little curious?

Gee, I never realized that I was supposed to enter forecast winds into the FMC. Is this why I have been experiencing so many DRAG REQUIRED / OVERSPEED DISCONNECT warnings when flying with a tailwind?Kenny Rogers

I wish to create SIDSTAR files for the airports in my area. Before I do this, I want to be sure I'm not stepping on any toes. I notice that Terry Yingling has compiled an impressive collection of SIDSTAR files (which is included with the SU2 download). I wish to expand the data for some of these airports, as there is some info missing. Any rules on doing so? Are we encouraged to upload our homemade SIDSTARS to the Navdata website? If so, am I allowed to also include procedures specific to only certain airlines (in other words, company procedures that are not PUBLISHED for everyone)?One more question.
