I recently downloaded, what I assume is the new updates that are supposed to work with steam, but it can't find FSX, neither can the other newly downloaded, Queenx, and MD11x, so do these just not work at present with FSX steam, or must I do something to help these aircraft find steam? Hello, I have recently started using a second TV with both the PMDG 777&737NG, primarily to display duplicate DUs. I love the virtual cockpits and always use TIR in combination with EZDock. Dear PMDG Team, I love your planes and especially the detail and care you put into them - absolutely outstanding anyhow, here comes my little request.... Would it be possible to provide a "extremely low detail" exterior model and texture for your excellent line of products. Reason is that customers like myself, who 99,9 % of their time spend in the cockpit, at the moment only have the possibility to completely disable the outside model to save VAS... now yes, this trick works really nicely and togeather with disabeling RAAS it saves around 400-450 mb of VAS..... Hi PMDG Just a thought but for our patience waiting for the 777 for P3D and other platforms update could you perhaps throw in the Swiss livery for the 777-300ER Expansion. Hello- I recently got PFPX and it works like a dream. But when I try to export a flight to the PMDG 737 flights folder it says that there is an error and that it couldn't write the file. It's directed correctly, but for some reason it isn't saving there. Any ideas?

I don't really know where to start, so I'll just say that I had a crash of my FSX Deluxe (with SP2) installation a few days ago--so bad was the crash, that the FSX uninstall via the control panel was suspect. I've had FSX installed in the default directory on this rig for several years and have been nursing it along. In some respects it was a merciful crash because it finally forced me to re-evaluate my sim platform. I decided to take the leap and purchased FSX: SE and it installed quite well; in spite of leaving the FSX installation in its default. I went into the Operations Center to download liveries for the 737NGX P3D. I don't see a a Livery manager or the Livery downloader. Are there liveries for the P3D version? Frank

Captains- A few months back, we had a few users identify what they suspected was a very peculiar scenario in which the 777 would begin to "leak memory" if a certain set of parameters existed in an arrival/approach/go-around procedure. We have been working with some of the data provided to us by these users, and about six weeks ago began testing some changes that we thought would help to prove/disprove/identify the problem- and tonight I am happy to tell you that we feel the issue has been proven, identified and resolved. Hi I hope someone can advise me on a couple of items which are probably basic to everyone, except me. :huh: I have recently bought the PMDG777, and have flown the short UK domestic flight EGPF-EGCC, and I used FS Build for the flight plan, and Radar Contact v4. The plan used was EGPF(RWY05) SID LUSI1B LUSIV LAKEY STAR DALE2A EGCC(RWY23R). The flight was successful, but what I would like to know is, what the "CI23R", and "FI23R" entries mean prior to the RW23R entry on the final Legs page. I would also like to know why "CI" and "FI" entries do not show when I flew KSFO -KLAX. This has all been a steep learning curve for my old brain to take in, but I enjoy trying. …

Well, more of a reality than an idea I hope. Whilst I'm sure PMDG are very aware of the shared cockpit wishes of many virtual pilots, I thought I could dispel an earlier assumption by one or two forum members that this could turn into a networking nightmare and a support headache for PMDG. Having flown the A320X with connected flightdeck - the networking was very simple to arrange, and the details of port forwarding is as hard as it got. With correct flows, a sterile cockpit, and focus - the realism shoots off the scale. Firstly I want to say that I can't even imagine how many hours go into building software this fantastic! There is no doubt that PMDG earns their money. But as a potential customer (again) I wonder if PMDG has ever considered allowing trial periods of their aircraft? If not that, then how about letting folks look at the manuals for the products without purchase? I know that preparing the manuals is hard work as well, and is worth more than zero dollars. But I think that the sneak peeks if you will, would help sell the software. Even if you didn't want to allow downloads how about some kind of web document that can't be printed or something? Hello all Not sure where to put this, but seeing as I fly pmdg most of the time (and I like the forum) it made sense. Anyway, I had to turn on crashes for someone who came over and wanted to crash (sighs) and then I saw "flight model" setting. is this really a big setting. As in, the pmdg or the AS twinotter (theb 2 planes I fly most) behave different when using one fo the 2 settings? Any advice? vkr victor

Hello Guys Just wanted to know if anyone is experiencing this. DTG release an update, version 62613, and now FSX:SE is crashing at start with a message about PMDGSounds.dll being the problem. This is the message: It probably is just the version change, but who knows... Should I open a ticket? Thanks!!

Is there a fix that I can make to prevent feeling sick every time the NGX or 777 turn a corner? It is like the panel is sliding from side to side. The movement is quite dramatic and temptation is to send both aircraft to the breakers yard and fly the A320 (admittedly eyepoint drift is a feature? of this aircraft too but not as dramatic). I am trying to figure out how to download the new update for the 737 6/7 extension. I bought extension and I have a order codeand an order # but when I try to download the product, it takes me to the 777 300er extension download that I bought. I looked at my previous orders and I dont see the 737-6/7 in there. I even put the order code in and PMDG did not recognize it. The ext package was bought about a yr ago. The 800 base package has been DL and works fine Robert

Hi chaps, Do you mind me asking how you record the extraordinarily detailed and wide-ranging mass of sounds in a PMDG cockpit? I saw RSR in a photo when he was in the 747 simulator, so are the sounds recorded from the simulator, or from the real aircraft? Or are they made from scratch by a sound artist? Sorry to ask these sim-building questions but I just wonder how some of the basic things we take for granted in the sim are achieved because there are so many sounds in a PMDG flight deck. That should give the devs some time to mull this one over and see how this might be included in whatever sim we might be using five years from now. I know it's down the road a piece, but it never hurts to start scratching out some thoughts/possible technical approaches to the topic.

Hi to all, since I've upgraded my FSX with High Resolution Scenery I'm experiencing Virtual Memory OOM's with the PMDG 747X. Since I never use the Virtual Cockpit I wonder whether there is a way to disable it and whether this would reduce the Virtual Memory load. In the PMDG options I don't find a "Show VC" option some treads talk about and in the panel.cfg I see the entry panel=VC which must be replaced by something like panel=2D I guess. Can somebody tell me whether 2D is the right value to set here, thx. draci

It was working great (not 100%, but 95%). About the networking stuff what we did discuss, there would be for example a solution that users can install Hamachi VPN to create an own network. Then in the Configurator you put in the IP of your co pilot and he put in your Pilot IP. Then both start a Free Flight with the same Aircraft, Airport / Gate, Weather and Time information. Then they just need to connect. That is the way how it is working with the Aerosoft 320. It is stable and…

I've tried a couple of time to install the PMDG 777. I thoroughly followed the procedure. The processus worked well. No problem. As soon as i launch the aircraft i notice that there is no landing gear (the aircraft doesn't touch the ground) and all the screens inside the cockpit are black. Don't understand... Anyone has got an idea ?

A great many thanks to all those that take the time to read my post . A week ago I sadly had a major pc meltdown all my own stupid fault as I built the pc I should have know better . My problem is that even though I had backed every thing up I still had to buy a new copy of PMDG 737NGX so as to start over again no problem there when I tried to install to FSX that's when I hit a snag I believe that I seem to be missing the install wizard the software is there and I installed to FSX but that's as far as it will go I think I must be doing something wrong but it will not load into sim object as a aircraft but just a folder it did briefly but all the cockpit instrumen…
