Hi mates, 1. I bought XP 11 late 2018. I am now re-installing it after an absence. I want a fresh installer so I think I need to download the current demo and enter my serial? 2. In my understanding, XP now takes advantage of Vulkan, which implies a more fluid display. Correct? 3. I'm on Win10, I have a GTX1080 and Nvidia drivers 457.51 Do I need to install something else to benefit of Vulkan in X-Plane?

I thought I would share my plans to travel around the world to explore the X plane world. All flights are in the default 737-800 with a British Airways livery. Aim is to have flights an around an hour or 2. I will update progress in 10 leg updates if anyone wants to fly along ! The tour starts in my home airport of Norwich in the eastern corner of England before visiting Ireland, Wales and London. After re-installing a bare bones XP11, [XP11.51], no add ons yet, I feel visually it lacks 'vibrancy'. The colors tend to look a bit washed out. Which products address this? Shaders? T45

I use XP XP11.41 or XP22.51r1 on a iBookPro 16 Zoll with Thunderbolt 3. I have an eGPU RadeonVII. I get framerates up to 70. The framerates drop to 1-2 prior to the landing followed by a crsh of the X-Plane. I use Catalina. Perhaps an insider (Mac and XP for Mac) can help looking for the reason. Ahoi! in short, I've been trying to have multiple X-Plane windows/views, while running a single X-Plane instance on a single display. My aim is to record some videos of the A/C from outside as well as of the main instruments while performing some maneuvers. I'm basically looking for a functionality similar to Prepar3D's, where it is possible to invoke extra views. I believe this functionality is often used to keep an eye on an instrument (say MCDU), while the main camera is used for flying. I recently got the latest beta 8, since then I can no longer use the auto pilot, I get a message " the directional gyro is not aligned with magnetic North" when I set the heading bug to the desired heading it flys in a totally different direction then the heading set, never seen this before in all the previous versions of x-plane including the last version I used 11.05. any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Hi, I am using the newest Version of X-Plane. It worked all fine until yesterday. When I am flying some Circuits the Weather suddenly changed to overcast. I used manually configured weather. After changing it to clear, 5 minutes later, it changed to overcast again. Even if i load a custom file, after about 5 minutes the weather alsways change to bad weather? Any help?

Hi all, was just curious on your opinions, I've been using 3 monitors for some time now, 1080's, not 4K, and although I'm somewhat content with them, I was wondering if one large monitor, say a large bowed one, would provide better image quality, and also the ability to have my graphic settings higher since I would only have the one monitor, what do you think? When I fly in remote areas like Alaska, I can the settings just about maxed out due to no land objects, but in populated areas I have to turn settings down. Thanks.

Will X-Plane 11 get any new or updated default aircraft or have to wait till X-Plane 12? Terry

hello I have a new joystick Thrustmaster T16000 + throttle. I would like to assign buttons for autopilot engage/disengage and I am searching the corresponding line of command in the XPlane 11 joystick settings. I found for the B737 : laminar / B738 /autopilot / command A and AP disconnect. but for all other planes I do not find the correct command line, I searched all the lines of AP commands in navigation & radios / autopilot ,but I do not find something like AP Engage and disconnect. can somebody help ? thanks

Ahoi! For teaching purposes (showing phugoids and AoA-oscillations) I wanted to create a few videos to show the students using X-Plane with various aircraft (in order to illustrate the differences). With X-Plane's flight model and physics being better than Prepar3D, which is my other available option, I thought I could shoot a video showing the aircraft from the side, along with a view to the instruments. Besides that, using the XPlane SDK I've been able to create live graphs, which would be useful to see the relationships between the angles, altitude and airspeed.

When i started on flight sims it was throttle for speed and elevator for up/ down Then read somewhere it was wrong, must be the other way around but nobody could really tell me why. Tried it a couple of times and thought to myself, naaw this is wrong. About a year ago read stick and rudder and the penny dropped. Started simming that way and yes , it was the right way. I even got to the point where going down the glide slope with diamond centered, just very small corrections (No wind) Now all that time i was making small corrections here and there to try and achieve what i want. Hi pilots, for a few days these new add ons are on sale. Got mine yesterday. First flights into Palma and Ibiza today. Well done, ORBX. I did not trust me eyes when I crossed a cool looking water fun parc on Ibiza’s 24 final. The whole scenery looks so real. South to the Canary Islands tomorrow.

I used to sim with fs9, FSX and P3Dv4 and now started again with XP11 even it was installed long time ago but not flying often. I flew today with the 777 Worldliner Pro with a flight plan EGBB-EGLC and the plane didn't end the flight as expected. From the video posted here I hope somebody could comment and a guidance as a help. New to X-Plane and trying the release demo. Is anyone using a force-feedback joystick in X-Plane 11? If so, what do you use to get it working? I have a MSFF2 joystick and have some limited success with XPForce after having discovered that it had initially made an X-Plane 10 folder.

I have the most recent version of Reality XP GTN 750 installed into my x-plane 11. None of the installed B737 aircraft, including the Zibo, follow the GTN 750 flight plans. When I use the LNAV, the aircraft does it's thing. The GTN is set to GPS. What could be the problem?

I was loving my new Xp11 last week. I also bought MSFS2020 but I have been using XP11 a lot more, using Zibo 737. Now, I'm having multiple issues. ATIS wont quit. It starts no matter what freq I am dialed to and there's no way to shut it off. Corrupted Navdata on FMS in ZIBO B738, (he just updated it, maybe that's why). Causes the LNAV path to vanish mid-flight. I have Steam version and Steam now refuses to close X-Plane. I have to go into Process Explorer and close Steam. This just started too. I re-installed Xp11 and Steam both and the problem persists. I just installed Traffic Global and I use VR, but have no issues with that. Not sure how to g…

Hi, I bought Oculus Quest 2 over the holidays and have just gotten it to work with MSFS 2020 yesterday. It was fantastic! Next best thing to a real flight. Still hoping to get better resolution, but TBH I see more of the sights in the sim than when I fly a real plane. I'd like to try it with the latest version of X-Plane 11 as well, but ran into an issue - when I enabled VR, I see a hangar on my monitor (with a disable VR button at lower left), but just 3 dots in my VR headset. in MSFS 2020 I had a similar issue - in that case, the images for each eye are displayed on the monitor, and I got yellow screen in the VR headset. Hi all, apologies if my question gets asked often. Point me elsewhere if that’s the case. I’m a real world pilot working on an instrument rating. I have to travel for work and have to take the winter off flight training. I’d like to have a travel capable computer to use as an IFR procedural trainer while on the road. And sure, it also seems like a little bit of fun ... but this is more about utility than fun.
