I am steadily working my way through the learning curve and can occasionally land on or near the runway and sometimes the right way up - however.737 NG. I am trying to understand tuning the localiser, glide slope and beacons.I am flying short hops between EGGD and EGFF generally at half light and it is possible to see each airport from the other following take-off.When I set the nav radios, I understand the ILS frequency but how do I set the localiser frequency? I have discovered there is not a set relationship between the two frequencies. Hi All, I'm new to this so not at all sure what the result will be but I hope it is constructive, for me at least. Here goes then! I have been a user of X-plane for about 3 weeks and was enjoying the experience and learning curve, at least I was until last Friday March 26th. Suddenly for what seems no apparent reason my Dell triple monitor display became a single display. I operate Intel i9 CPU, 64g ram, NVidia 2080ti GPU, 1xtb hd. Thus far I have 1. After installing a full version of 11.53, I'm now getting some prompts telling me that my scenery (airport) might not look correct. The airports worked without an error prompt while on 11.41, and they also seem to be working well in 11.53. I unticked the "warn of incomplete scenery installations" on the operations & warning page, but I'm still getting the error. What's the best way to get rid of those prompts? Thanks. Jose

Hallo I use littlenavmap a few weeks in combination with xplane. I could follow my airplane in the map as well as in the elevation plan. I saw the plane and de followed trace. But since a few days I don't see my plane any more in the elevation profile, only in the map. I have looked in the settings how to restore this but can''t find it. Can someone help me out. At the moment I am automatically downloading (among others) into X-Plane 11(11.50+) X-Plane GNS430,FF757/767/777,X-Crafts Embraer E175, Aerobask Skyview, JRollon Planes CRJ200 etc, and x737FMCv3.4(and above) In X-Plane11 Custom Data I have folders GNS430, navdata, proc, and UFMC. In GNS430 folder I have navdata and an index file. in navdata folder there is a sub-folder ... Proc and 5 text documents, including cycle_info.txt which tells me it is AIRAC Cycle 2103. Hi all - I'm surprised I couldn't find anything on this... thought someone in here must have done it. I'm trying to practice partial panel and looking for a plugin that can "inop" certain instruments. I know I can get some of this in the Failures settings, but was looking more of a "postit over the dial" type plugin where I can slap one over any given instrument on the panel (I can't do real postits as I use a head tracker). Hello Two questions: 1. What is the latest RXP GTN 750 Data Base? 2. Can you engage the VNAV function in the RXP GTN 750 within Xplane? I'm having serious problems trying to get X-Plane to work properly. Imagine flying any aircraft in straight and level flight and having the nose constantly bob up and down and sway from side to side like a heavy weight on springs and you've got the picture. This motion is impossible to damp out by with trim. I'm also getting a phantom constant roll input at times for no apparent reason that requires opposite aileron to keep the aircraft level. Sometimes, this shows up on the turn-and-bank indicator as a sideways push even if the airplane is parked engines off and not moving. Hi, I had read that it's always better to install a fresh copy of FSX / XP on a hard drive and back it up on a way that when you mess something up you always can go back to that version. How is this possible? Once installed, would I need the DVD in future?

Does anyone know if there is a mod or way to show points of interest on the default cockpit view in XP11.. ie: Aerofly FS2 style, where there are names of cities hovering above the areas.. aerofly does it in a diagonal upward.. very useful in VR. Another for P3D is POI from FSDT, which works ok as long as you only enable airports more so.. everything else bogs it down in P3D.. So i'm just wondering if there is a similar addon for XP. Hi, Every time I start XPRealisticV2 the control panel appears. I have a profile set up for the 737 Zibo on X-Plane 11, according to the manual once the profile is set up the control panel shouldn't show for that aircraft. Any Ideas? Version 2.1.3

If you use X plane and own a VR headset I can only recommend you stop what you’re doing and go and get a copy of the VSKYLABS Pond racer. I fly almost exclusively in VR nowadays and I have to say flying this aircraft is the most exhilarating VR flight simulator experience I’ve ever had. Sublime flight modelling and handling and a VR experience like nothing else, 300kts skimming through valleys with two massive PT6 prop disks sticking out in front of your nose. After a miserable year this will put a smile back on your face

Hi Which file would I need to alter if i wanted to change the way the aircraft is listed in the aircraft selection menu. For example, I want add G1000 to the description of the aircraft that have that so I know that when I select an aircraft. I thought it might be the acf file but can't find anything like the description. I tried creating a G1000 folder and placing all the relative aircraft in the but it didn't work so have assumed it's somewhere in the description as different studios have their own folder. Hope what I have written makes sense

HI how to avoid the OpenGL fallback? I've updated the Nvidia (rtx2080) on Win10 driver and downloaded a fresh X-Plane 11.52 copy. It worked hurray but only until I changed some settings (forgot what it was). Now again XP falls back to OpenGL every 4th or so start. I've reported the bug but got no response. Any tips? I think it's retarded to fallback without mentioning why.

I have been using Xplane11 quite intensively for the past few months, almost on a daily basis. One thing that has been bothering me is that every 3 to 4 minutes my display without any action jumps to nearest control tower. This is especially so in the STMA PC-12 which I fly mostly, but also but much less frequently in the stock C172.I do not have programmed that view anywhere on my Saitek yoke nor keyboard. It can be quite frustrating as it happens in any phase of flight, even on short finals which can be a handful... I have been scanning all sorts of sources but this problem appears to be fairly unique. Anyone any ideas please?

Now that the nature of the mysterious announcement is known to the community, it's clear that it is a publicity campaign for another flight sim site, and thus the topic violates our TOS here and has been removed.

Recently, when using the X-Plane FMS with both the Carenado Premier and Citation II the X-Plane FMS will flash on and off and then the aircraft will crash. This does not happen with any non-Carenado aircraft. I am waiting a response from Carenado. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I am doing a custom livery for the Hotstart TBM900. It is almost complete however there is one spot I cannot locate in the PNG files that comprise the exterior appearance of this aircraft. On the starboard side of the fuselage, in a panel where the wing connects to the main fuselage there is a small semi-rectangular door with a metal pushbutton. Above the buttom is a tan label that reads "Oxygen Service Point - Use No Lubricants". I have recolored the surrounding oval body panel and would like to color this door to match. I've put together a new machine for VR use and I can't get Spadnext to work on X-Plane 11.5 SE. I have FIPs, Radio, Muti, and Switch panels. I'm just using the stock Spadnext X-Plane online snippets for each device. None of them work. Not even the FIPs. Totally dead. I did get them to work using a plugin from the X-Plane forum but I wanted to get them to work with Spadnext as I purchased the full license and a plethora of gauges from fipgauges.com. P3D is no problem but no luck on X-Plane.
