  2. X-Plane 10.50 Vulcan, external cockpit panel, single engine planes only, for additional exercising next to flight school, realityXP installed for GNS530 and GNS430 Hi, first of all, my setup is working perfectly and I am very happy with this Garmin Simulation, as it is getting pretty close to the reality, much closer than the X-plane-embedded version. For an easier backup of my entire simulation-system, I use to install everything related to the simulator in my X-plane-directory c:/x-plane 11/...., also the Garmin-stuff, which is parked in c:/x-plane 11/realityXP/... However, I found also some files in the Windows subfolder Program. Maybe this happened…

Hello Pilots, Am moving from FSX to X-Plane with a possible move to MSFS if they ever get that thing running like a Flight Sim. I enjoy the Pilot flight sim over pretty pictures ! Looking at spending around 1,000 US. Prebuilt is preferred as I dont have a lot of time for a build but If I can get a lot better PC for the same price i would rather spend the extra time with building. My background is more building Automated machinery, robots etc than PC's but will take on the challenge. Is there Pre Build and or Build sites that have X-Plane PC recommendations ? What Im doing now is I printed out X-Planes site PC recommendations and looking at both. Just thought I would …

Hi, getting a gaming PC soon and was wondering if an i5-10400F and a 3070 would work well together on X-Plane or would there be a severe bottleneck?

  5. Hi, is it possible to install xplane without needing the dvd? So I know that I can install a second copy of it. Could I install that on a USB Stick and if my main installation on C drive gets corrupt just use the usb stick as an installer?

  8. Hi guys, I can use some help please: So, I just purchased FSFlying School 2021 to add some challenge to my flying, mainly because there are no missions for XP, anyway, I finally got the program running & although it seems to have a lot of potential, things dont seem right. First, the voice over is from a woman, but & states in manual that the instructor is a "Mr. Smith" & you need him to utilize most of the resources of the program. Next, the woman instructors statements do not coincide with the real time of the flight. I tried to look into this & it says you need to have a flight plan activated, from a saved flight plan. (I think). P…

  9. Hello All, Can somebody please tell me if there is a ground handling set for the Zibo range of aircraft that actually works. I have found two versions for the 800 and neither of them work. one for the 900 and that does not work either. I have seen some forum entries from 2017/8 that states that these do not work and Jar Design have not updated them. Given that the Zibo is arguably the most popular tube liner for XPlane, one wonders why this situation exists, unless, of course, there is an updated version out there which I cannot find. Highly likely too, I guess. If there is one for each of the Zibo models, could someone kindly provide a link or point me in…

  10. I guess I am too used to MSFS 2020 which I have left behind because of too many bugs. I was flying the Zibo 737-800 and ran out of fuel mid flight! It seems you can go to the flight menu and refuel during a flight but I can’t find a way to make it unlimited. No big deal if you can’t. I was just curious.

I apologise if this is a strange question but i am hoping someone might come up with a light bulb idea. For some time I have had a neuropathy problem with walking due to the brain and legs not being in sync, this was mainly in my right leg. Quite recently I have been diagnosed with slap (drop) foot on my left side so have lost the "feel" of my feet to some extent. I have been using CH Pro Pedals but this is now becoming difficult as my feet tend to slap down which of course applies the brakes plus the sensitivity in feel is impaired so movements are exaggerated. Once I am in the air this is no problem but of course for taxing-take off-landing it is. …

Hello All. I have a question and maybe an issue. I use a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and use Xplane and Zibo. Both are fully updated. My question is: The yoke have a 45 degrees movement for Roll axis. when I roll the yoke for left or right, the yoke on Zibo also goes 45 degrees, as we can see on the Img1 below. But when I move the aircraft yoke with the mouse, we can see that it rolls 90 degrees. so the question is: when I use the yoke, even if I turn 45 degrees, the aircraft recognize it as 90 degrees, even if the animation shows only 45? Or I have an issue where the aircraft only moves 45 degrees and I have a lack of…

  15. I’m testing the demo getting ready to buy but ran into one or two snags. On a g1000 equipped plane I save the flight and re-load it and find the flight plan data is gone. Searching google I found if I set the AP setting to HDG and take note of the next waypoint, when I reload the flight plan I can set it to the correct values. It is a workaround but it works. If you don’t set it to heading before you save, there are all sorts of problems. I was wondering if the Zibo 737 saving and loading can be managed in a similar manner? I have read the g1000 manual in the past so I understand it but I only know how to load the flight plan into the 737 FMS and not much else. …

Hi, I am making a custom sky color set for X-Plane 11 based on real-life scattering equations. While the same real-life scattering equations will be used in upcoming Enhanced Skyscapes, which will have a custom sky system, I wanted to implement a simpler temporary version based on default sky color system until Enhanced Skyscapes is finished. Does anyone know about how X-Plane's sky color textures work? It has a rather... interesting format: Based on my experiments, first 8 of the 128x32 sky colors (from "night" to "aft", inclusive) are not used at all. Remaining 8 of the 128x32 sky colors represent sun being 90, 4, 2, 0, -2, -4, -8 and -90 degrees below ho…

  18. I’m trying out the X-Plane demo as suggested. Everything looks good until I try a multi engine jet. In FSX and MSFS 2020 there is an option to map a throttle lever to all engines. Also a single prop lever for all propellers. How can I do this in X-Plane 11? Thanks!

  20. I am trying to switch from the paid x-plane FIP/Logitech plugin to Logitech's own plugin so I can run other FIP gauges. I uninstalled the paid plugin, but when I run the other gauges under the Logitech plugin, the gauges flicker on and off ad are unstable. Does anyone know of conflicts remaining after uninstalling the paid plugin? I do have P3D and MSFS2020 installed also, but with Logitech Plugins, but they are not running when I am running x-plane. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Has anyone gotten their Honeycomb Bravo working on X-Plane on Linux? I'm upgrading from the Logitech throttle and eagerly ordered the Honeycomb, thinking that it would "just work" like my Honeycomb Alpha. Not finding a Linux download on their site (but also finding mention that they'd had anecdotal reports of enterprising individuals getting it to work anyways), I grabbed the Mac download, extracted it, and moved the relevant files to the "joystick config" and "plugins" folders. Unfortunately, it's not populating the config screens like my yoke and pedals have (to include the images showing on the config screen). I also tried saving a config file, copying the .joy f…

I would be grateful for some help with an issue I am having with Gizmo. The recent Win10 update seemed to screw up some of my permissions and passwords. When I loaded X-Plane Gizmo threw a fit and said it could not connect and that my licence was invalid. I could not load any X-Aviation plane and even if I cancelled the Gizmo warning it kept coming back. I therefore re downloaded and re installed the TorqueSim Islander which will now load. However Gizmo is constantly consuming 1.5 fps when no X-Aviation product is being used? If I load the Islander Gizmo stops using any resources. This was not the case before. I contacted support and had a quick reply sayi…

I was commenting with Alexis about how low my expections and enthusiam / interest in flight simulation have dropped, in good part due to the MFS Fiasco... I am totally away from it, no sim installed for months... but if I was to invest in flight simulation it would be in a rather focused way. Airbus is nowadays my reference, just as many moons ago the 747 and the L-1011 were. If had the money and the mood I would go for something like what this girl presents so well in the video linked bellow: Easy Steps: How to Build Your Own Home Cockpit! Hi all, new to the forum and to X Plane. I've been flying / simming with DCS for years now, mainly the A10A and C, have the Warthog HOTAS ,VR (Rift S), TrackIR for non VR, and a Honeycomb Alpha on the way now to use with X Plane. I've also recently been dabbling with Voice Attack in Star Wars Squadrons in VR and boy does this increase your kill rate and immersion 😄 I came to X Plane from the boost in publicity given by the launch of MS2020, and I have this as well, looks lovely but I believe has a way to go for IRF etc. Anyway, I digress!! I purchased the Carenado CT182T_G1000_v1.2, think it was about $30, so I expected it to be on the money, but no matte…
