I downloaded XPUIPC to connect X Plane 11 with A Pilot's Life. However there seems to be some files (see attached) which are altering my Saitek Yoke controls. 2 examples are I'm unable to steer on the ground with the Yoke & the pitch trim up button pauses the flight. Anyone else have this issue or can someone spot something in the files which are adjusting my controls. Thanks

Last couple of starts the prop RPM won't go above 1000 when the throttle is advanced to takeoff power. What am I doing wrong? All other engine parameters are normal. Thanks in advance. -S

I'm sure this has been answered directly elsewhere, but I can't find a definitive answer. I just purchased a new pair of rudder peddles and was hoping to use them in XP11.5. I plugged them in, calibrated them in XP, and started my flight. The peddles work great on the ground, but as soon as I take off, I find I don't need them to have coordinated flight. It's like auto-rudder is automatically engaged. Is this just me? Is there a way to turn off auto-rudder and use the peddles properly?

Haven't been able to get an answer to this on the XP forum or FS com. Basically trying to find out if this is any good. Obviously not expecting complex systems/study level but does it fly like a DC10 and sound like a DC10?

Hi everybody, I am using XP11 and I am really happy with it, the only thing I don't like that much is the weather rendering. An overcast stratus layer can look quite nice, but cumulus clouds not so much. Cirrus clouds? Haven't seen any. Anyways, I was playing with the weather settings and created my own cloud layers setup. I noticed that when, say for example, I add a Broken cloud layer with base a 4000ft and tops at 6000ft - clouds will show but not at that altitude. Rather the base and tops will be higher by many thousand feet. I also noticed that multiple cloud layers are not really working either. The layers will rather overlap. I can't see cirrus clouds…

Hi guys, I dont know if this is the right place to post this, but Im about at my wits end. A while back I purchased an AirFoillabs KingAir 350 which has been one of my favorite aircraft to fly in the XP11 sim. Ive stayed on top of all the updates through the Airfoillabs Product Manager, but lately Ive been having issues with the Throttle, Torque, Prop, and mixture spazzing out after rotation, making stable flight, and approach / landing near impossible. I re-calibrated, deleted, and re-installed the aircraft as well as the XJet folder. Swapped out the flight yoke with one identical to it (CH Eclipse) thinking the throttle quadrant was worn out, and nothing seems to f…

...And equally important. How can you edit it ? I have the familiar problem of the Tower view being blocked and want to raise it. I understand I need to alter the end of line 14 where the height (? feet ? metres)of the tower view is set. Is the apt data available to edit direct from the installed files or do you need to use WED. Any advice gratefully received. Tim

Hi, Newbie to Xplane 11 and ex MSFS X user currently using An IMac with Catalina and have Orbx Southern UK scenery installed. (That’s a story!!) Just updated to 11.50 and using Metal the frame rate is vastly improved. One complaint and some questions (I’m sure there will be more of both). Why has my favourite local airport (Plymouth UK) had it’s ILS beacons removed? Boo Hoo. I used to practice everything there!! I know the airport is now closed BTW. Hello all, I note that 11,50 is now official and I am very interested in, as the title suggests, Ortho4XP scenery for OZ. I have seen somewhere a full Australian scenery link but cannot find it again. Before I go into that though, I just wanted to know if anybody has it and is using it. If so, what is it like, particularly, vs MSFS standard scenery. Whilst MSFS is very different to default scenery, I find that Australian scenery that I am familiar with is not all that great. It looks good but many of the airport buildings look generic and Magnetic Island (straight of the end of RWY 01 in YBTL) for instance, is not at all realistic. If I could have some inform…

Hey everyone, I have been having a problem with this plane for a while now. At first when I got the Carenado twin commander turbo 690 b it worked fine after I entered the serial number. After about a month, I got on X-Plane 11 and out popped the serial number entry again. I looked up serial number recovery for files. It said to long into your Carenado account. The main issue is that I did not make an account just downloaded the plane directly from the website. Was wondering if there is some way to recover the serial number or not. Would appreciate any help.

I have a problem of loss of power with the King Air C90 ; I am climbing to 5000 ft all engine parameters in green, RPM at 2000 and suddenly I loose all power, Torque, turbine, fuel flow at 0, RPM at 2000, with the warning in red L FUEL FLOW. I have more than enough fuel. I tried to re do the flight, same event. In XP parameters all failures are desactivated. What is going wrong thanks for help.

Soooo Shift a In VR is pure magic. turns off reprojection - bumping frames from a sutterfest 30fps to free, then locking on 60fps with -lock_fr=60 command line seems to give the best stutter free smooth motion in vulkan. buzzing like I really did just land a spitfire (knew this before, but it hadnt been working for a long time, its back!)

Hello When I select heading on the autopilot of the Boing 747, I do not see the heading bug on the EHSI and the compass rose remains blocked on 000 degree ? can somebody help? thanks

I have installed the PilotEdge plugin and can hear the ATC conversations. I have tried a self-check of the radio (COM1 talks to COM2) and a radio check with the ATC in PilotEdge but no transmit is working. To transmit I binded the Transmit COM1 function to a button on my Honeycomb yoke. Nothing seems to happen when I push the button. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello all! as you can see I am new on these forums and in x-plane too. Following the release of the beautiful new Microsoft I also decided to check x-plane out since MSFS for my rig does not have acceptable performance (not a rig problem 100%). MSFS is windows only too, I use Ubuntu 2004 and I will probably uninstall windows, frankly installed it to check MSFS out, but I loathe this OS. Trust me, I know my way around graphics and art, an while x-plane lacks in a major way in these aspects I think even the default scenery is utterly cool. How do I normally change from FMS Speed (MCP window blank) to MCP Speed during an approach so that I manually can set my approach speed? Last time I was just starting the approach with FMS Speed and somehow the set FMS value was only 114 kts which is very slow..... Can I set that FMS Speed myself or and how do I change into MCP Speed? Default B737 and default FMS.

Funny findings last night.... When having Gsync (and therefore Vsync) on in the Nvidia Control Panel, increasing the monitor (TV in my case) frequency to 100Hz, maintained the same fps in XP11 (35/70 depending on the location and plane) have almost completemy remove the stutters I could get at 60Hz.... rather weird considering that Gsync would adapt the frequency to the fps... meaning that if you get 40 fps, setting 60 or 100Hz should not change anything as the display would go down to 40 hz.... anyway, I am happy with that finding.... (I actually discover it while forcing 100Hz in Xplane and have now since then setup my NCP and Windows 10 to 100HZ.

Hi, Is it possible to create a cloud of a specific shape and location in XPlane 10? I've been looking at most of the available plug-ins and it seems like it is only possible to specify the generic cloud landscape as opposed to being able to create a cloud of a specific shape and location. Thanks!

For the last several weeks XP11.5x has been stuck at 27 fps no matter what I try, and this happens to no other game or flight sim. I've tried 11.41, the betas, RC2, RC3, and it's all the same. I can change graphics settings from the highest to lowest quality and still 27fps. I can use Oculus Rift S or three monitors or one monitor. 27 fps. Am I in a Hitchcock movie? I'm using During this time I've upgraded my graphics card to a RTX 2070 Super, updated the driver and reset all settings to factory. Oculus Rift settings are factory except for supersampling at 1.5.
