Hi all, I have recently become more and more intrigued by the idea of private and business jets. I have downloaded a bunch of freeware aircraft for XP11 but am in a pickle. While I am waiting for the Aerobask falcon 8X with anticipation. I am stuck between two smaller aircraft. Carenado’s Citation and Aerobask’s Eclipse, since these are both the same price, which would you recommend for good performance and fun in general. I am drawn to the citation because I have more exprience IRL with them but love the idea of both. Thanks in advance!

Been a LONG time since I've been on the forums. I've run into this issue with X-Plane, as well as some other games not installed on my primary Operating System storage device. I should have realized this could be a problem but I suppose I was just too optimistic. Essentially: I have X-Plane installed on a secondary SSD. It's been that way for a while; the sim runs fine, nothing crashes. Now, it's critical to understand that this "secondary SSD" used to be my main storage device (it used to have the OS on it), until I did some hardware upgrades to an M.2 nvme chip, so now that SSD just primarily houses games. I'm about to replace my 30 year old CH Eclipse. It's pots are past their best, odd spikes and jitters, and it is difficult/impossible to calibrate sometimes. The Honeycomb is a possible replacement. Before shelling out my hard-earned, I need to know if anyone is using it successfully in XP Linux, and if so, in which distro. Thanks!

hi guys, Trying out x plane 11 and noticed my navi data is out, but i cannot seem to find the gns 430 update in the folders. its stops at x plane 11 native or so. ive tried downloading it of the website but the link just freezes upon clicking download. im trying to update my ff 757 btw. this is the list as i scroll down after downloading them can i use any of these instead in the GNS folder? xplane11_native_1911 xplane10_native_1911 xplane_customdata_native_1911 x-fmc_native_1911 worldtraffic_native_1911 many thanks.

Hello, I have downloaded a mod for the default xplane cessna that adds two gtn screens, but i keep hearing the annoying default xplane click sound whenever i touch anywhere in the sim. Is there a fix for that? Also the engine sounds are different.

I purchased a program from this company months ago, somehow guess wasnt supposed to be able to at the time as the build was not complete... been in contact with the company for months now, MONTHS!!!!! I wanted the heli added to X plane 11... they asked how i was even able to purchase the program as the build was not yet complete... I am trying to determine the steps for exiting a holding pattern for a RNAV approach (using GPS). Using the GNS530 and autopilot in NAV mode, the aircraft properly entered the holding pattern. However, I could not determine how to tell the autopilot to exit the holding pattern and begin the approach. Do I go into the FPL page and activate the next leg in the approach, or is there something I do in the PROC page? I could not get it to work when flying the BN-2 Islander yesterday. It's probably simple but I am a bit dense in my older years. Thanks for any help!

...if MS delivers on 2020, I will be the first moving over, man look at the smooth curves of the slope runways, check out the latest Feature Discovery (Aerodynamics), incredible to say the least. I just don't see how LR is going to compete with MS2020 when XP has soooo many shortcomings, I just don't see it, I hope Im wrong for the sake of XPlane. 2020 is going to be a great year for sims for sure. Hi everyone For some reason when I now start to type into the search box for an airport on the main menu the full list disappears and says ‘No airports found’ .... but if I type nothing into the search I can scroll through the list .. pick an airport and it loads with no problems ... So everything is there but a complete pain scrolling through the thousands of listed airports Any ideas on what has happened please Cheers Paul

I bought Nimbus Studios KMIA to compliment TE FL and runways 26L & 26R appear as 25R & 25L. It appears that they are custom textures and not default texture that can easily be changed with WED. At the xp.org forum a thread was created months ago and the dev still has not addressed the situation. Due to this poor support I've decided never to buy another payware airport for XPlane. Freeware is going to be my best friend. Does anyone know how to fix this? I appreciate the help. Jose

Maybe some insight as to why this might be happening: Whenever I start initial take off rollout on the runway with the default 737-800 I don't even get the chance to pull the stick to lift the aircraft because the aircraft takes off on its own. Why is this happening?...

Good day to all Yes , sorry about that What I was looking for in the mean time was a pic what i wanted to refer to Anyway, how can i mod the lites script file to make the "ground" so to speak, on highways more lit up. Also , how to put more colour into the night lights instead of the over all orange glow that you see. I have tried to change some parameters using the R G B values in the script, but, but could see no real difference, so its either the wrong "lines" i tried to change, or my values were wrong Using xplane 10 Thank you

Hi All, I recently added the HD airport texture pack update and all looks great, the only issue I have is the airport/taxiway signs seem to be slightly damaged, the info seems to be a bit garbled on the signs, I believe I followed the correct loading procedure, as mentioned everything else looks great, would anyone have an idea of what I could have done wrong? Just to clarify the ground markings are fine, its the standing signs that seem to be a bit graphically a miss! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Anthony

I had 11.41 running well, but I installed a separate copy of 11.5 and I liked it, so I updated my main copy to the latest beta. When I started the sim, it was literally a slide show, with pauses of up to a minute each time the displayed frame changed, and it also took up to a minute for the menu bar to appear when I moved my mouse into the appropriate position. So I rolled back to 11.41, but the slide show was still the same. However, when I brought up a menu to try with different display settings, I could see around the edges of the menu that the sim display itself was running smoothly (I use TrackIR, so I could see the image changing as I moved my head). Good morning pilots, yesterday I tried to assign the PFD popup to a joystick button but could not find the command from the list. Anybody got that working and could tell me the correct command of the joystick menue? Thanks in advance.

Main Cabin door.....I'm unable to get it to close on the ground after loading the aircraft. Clicking on the appropriate rectangle doesn't do anything. Clicking on the appropriate rectangle for the pilot's door works as it should. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Dave
