For all pilots that put decent sound as being vital to the immersion of an add on, SimAccoustics has release a very good FMOD sound package for the SR-71. Also stated in the download instructions is the possibility to use the sound package for another plane. Which I did. I added the FMOD package for the SR-71 to the B-58 Hustler by Gary Hunter available on the .org. This sound package is really well done and brings the beast out of either plane. The use in another plane needs to be altered slightly for interior sound to be manageable. Nice to see how a sound upgrade can bring some of the older planes in the XP 11 hanger back to life. Skip

Upon starting XP today, I noticed that the screen was tilted left to right...the left side was higher than the right... in other words, the horizon was tilted to the right...I tried updating XP and disabling a few plugins but nothing helped... Any hep appreciated....thanks, John H.

How is it done? Do I press N1? Do I press TO/GA? Do I move the throttle up 40% and then engage N1? Do I press the speed button? At what point do I put the throttle to idle and let the speed control take over. I have read so many take off accounts that I am totally confused. Thank you M Cumming

I’m new to X-Plane 11 and I’m just wondering how VNAV works in regards to when you load a flight plan file into the FMS. It looks like you can enter speeds and altitudes at each of the waypoints along the route for the autopilot to follow. Is there also a way to set the climb and descent angle (example 3 degree climb and descent) in the FMS within the VNAV setup? My last question is can the FMC calculate the climbs and descents based on the example of a 3 degree ascent or descent? Lastly I am interested in the default 737 in XP 11 since I don’t want too complicated of an airplane like PMDG and FSX default 737 lacks the important functions of the FMS and VNAV functions…

I was doing a flight last night in the Hotstart TBM 900. At one point the keyboard became unresponsive to XP. It wasn't the fault of the keyboard or Windows (volume key still worked etc). For XP it just went dead. Greazer.

I think it cold be useful to have a thread here for us to discuss the new sim from the X-Plane user perspective. Reasons to check it out, switch to it or maybe ignore it. I hope it won't escalate. I will definitely check it out, however I am interested in two things for now. 1. I've heard it uses the FSX mesh. Hard to believe, given the recent trailer. Is it possible that only POI's will have a better mesh? Or is there some procedural generation at work, as in improving the mesh on the fly. 2. How does it look where no Bing3D data is available. How does its Autogen compare to X-Plane.

The addon is development since late 2017, and I want to make it one of the coolest payware airports out there. Having used FS2004 and FSX for years without any problem am now faced with probably a minor glitch. All's well installed for first flight, joystick (Logitech Extreme3D) calibrated, brake released on runway (keyboard "b") yet when applying power aircraft veers off runway in a circle screeching with obviously at least one brake still applied???? Ok.......I downloaded hd global scenery mesh the other day, followed all relevant protocols according to the installation sheet but ran into a problem For UHD Mesh Scenery to works well with other Scenery Packages, it’s best to put it at the bottom of scenery_packs.ini but above HD Mesh Scenery v4 (if you have installed that too). Just installed the X-Plane 11.50b15 update, and now have static in all the Cessna 172 cockpits. Is anyone experiencing this problem?

In XP11 the mouse wheel controls the zoom which drives me crazy. I try to turn knobs with it and instead the zoom changes.

I updated my XPUIPC to the 2.0.5.9. version. I just changed one for the other in plugins. I changed the ip address. However now my CFY throttle says it cannot find Xplane. Is there something else I should have done?

I purchased the (you guessed it) Carenado Phenom 100 in the current sale. I love the PT-ARS design and repaint (or the default N1367R). I am wondering, however, if anyone could just change the colors to dark (Brunswick) green for the large (black) portion and gold stripes above and below. I would also like to (if possible) change the aircraft registration to VH-CAC. After looking I have found a lot of repainting advice, which to my aged and feeble mind, seems a little complicated. I’ve been having difficulties configuring the above. “Three green” wrote that typically you arm the A/T at the gate along with VNAV and LNAV, but as soon as I arm the A/T my throttles move forward. The cause I think is that on the PFD it shows “TO/GA” in green. How do I clear it? The auto throttle disengage does not remove it..........

I have just purchased CFY gold+ throttle and am having difficulties getting some parts of it going. I cannot get the trim wheels to respond to switches on my Honycombe yoke. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi all, with some Carenado aircraft 50% off right now I’m contemplating picking some up for X-Plane 11, particularly the B1900 and C208. As a reformed P3D’er, my experience with Carenado has been....ok. They look nice, but systems and flight dynamics are sometimes a bit questionable etc. From what I’m reading Carenado seems to be better regarded in the X-Plane community than P3D. So for anyone who has flown their products in both, is it a better experience in Xplane? Are there any Carenado aircraft that are particular gems in Xplane? Thanks

Hi all, I have been a customer of x-aviation products since jan 2018. I have their excellent TBM , Skymax, Real weather connector and Custer scenery. They have an activation process which works on the basis of computer ID. The software seems to ask for activation when it detects certain changes in software or hardware, the details of which I am unaware. In the month of June the activation window started popping up at almost every start of Xplane. I did what i usually do, type freeze and delete the oldest instance the machine and then type a name for the latest instance of activation. I have a Hotas joystick that works well in P3Dv5 It also works well in XPlane11 except for 1) Forward View plus panel 2) Chase view These two views very occasionally jump into another view or flicker a few times Quite annoying especially if it happens on a landing or taxing Hat switch seems stable Did not used to do this Anything I could try? xxd09

Hello everyone! So I'm seriously thinking about getting XPlane 11. I have P3D installed with things like the FSLabs and I love it. But it has become a bit... stale recently, I don't really feel like spending head over heals for a large bunch of airports. I have a lot of free time this summer, so I was considering doing something different and getting XPlane 11.
