I have looked at the X-plane site and stll have the question what is the physical meaning of the generally radial, coloured cones - velocity, pressure, or what?

Hi, I was wondering how X-Plane is handling AI Traffic? Do they have/will have something like MyTraffic or UT2 so skies and airports can get nicely crowded?

Rumors are out there, a big player is making the move into the world of X-Plane add-on's. Will it be Flight1?

Hello i have long been away from x-plane for various reasons there seems to be so much new stuff what is really worthwhile knowing and what addons should i download? I want a refresher on wat happend in the x-plane world.

I got an email stating McPhat studios is working on an ATR for Xplane and it looks great so far. It seems like little by little we are seeing some well known development teams starting work for XPlane. Can't wait to see what this sims future is like. Xplane already has some great developers, they just don't seem to get the attention they deserve (or maybe I am just too new to XPlane?). Maybe some of these well known FS developers will bring some more attention to these other folks as well. Btw, if the develop of the Challenger 300 reads this; OMG...I love it! Awesome work on the aircraft!!

X-Plane 10 is looking pretty good and after all these years it's finally coming of age to me where I feel it's worth a look. Flight Simulator on all fronts seems to have consistently topped X-Plane but now I'm seeing features like what's able to be accomplished with the new default 744 that give it some unique pluses on par with FS. Now my question is have they finally embraced traffic in X-Plane 10? I may be a little late on the whole experience but last I checked the skies in X-Plane were pretty lonely unless one was flying online. If X-Plane has traffic and ATC on the level of Flight Simulator I will take a look. Thanks in advance for any feedback you guys can give.

I have noticed some strange terrain graphics corruption when flying X-Plane. I've tried various videocard drivers without effect. Any ideas as to what is causing this, would be appreciated. (I am limited to dial-up, so simply downloading the latest release is not an option.) When i start x-plane i load up all of my settings then i restart to let my res take effect but then windows comes up and says "x-plane has stopped working" what causes this crash how can i get it to just load my settings and not crash?

Since I posted already about my anticipation for X-Plane 10, many new things have happened - FSX has had many new addons that are great - sceneries, A/C's, Airport traffic activities and etc. FSX is really evolving. I am still very interested in what I have seen and what's been reported about X-Plane 10. I have had wallet ready for it for some time. Many have suggested that I go ahead and purchase X-Plane 9 in the meantime. What I would like to know is do the A/C's and sceneries that are available now that work in the latest X-Plane 9 version, work in X-Plane 10. What addon products that work in the latest version of X-Plane 9 will NOT work in X-Plane 10?

There is a section on the X-Plane site that begins:X-Plane works by reading in the geometric shape of any aircraft and then figuring out how that aircraft will fly. When I click on the knob to change the bug postion nothing happens when turning the knob up or down. Is there a fix for this? x-plane sim 9.68

I took off from Bellingham inteding to fly to Ketchican. I couldnot get the program to track using the GPS so was using the Heading and altitude choices of the autopilot. When I approached Ketchican and I wanted to drop down in altitude I couldnot change any of the settings on the autopilot. I then checked the other items on the control panel and nothing fuctioned. I was ble to change views but as far as cockpit functions were concerned there were none. I am using the latest version of X-Plane. I have never had any problem like this with anyother aircraft in the x-plane inventory. The Log Book indicates a 3.9hr flight to the Canadian airfield it indicates my aircra…

I am not starting this thread to start debate, or speculations. I am only expressing my deep anticipation of this program. I have been with flightsim since before some of you were born and long before this web site existed. I have bought every version of Microsoft flightsim and very impressed with latest.
