With the information that has been stated that the community will be able to develop scenery within XP10, I was wondering what applications a person would need to do this. If I understand things correctly, World Editor 1.1 or 1.2 will be included in XP10, but am wondering the functionality that it would have. Will someone be able to create art assets from this tool, or would a person need to use a tool like Blender? Any information would be appreciated. I am sure many people would be very interested in creating scenery in some capacity.

Interesting video showing night traffic. Wish it was better qaulity. I like it though, Xp10 has pretty some aggressive tailgating going on!

Hi guys, I've installed the full x-plane 9 DVD's and played around with it last night so now have a couple more questions... 1: 2D cockpit. I can only see the top half of the coaming. Same problem in most of the aircraft I tried. How do I change the view so I can see all the main instruments (I can "zoom out" in 3D view by changing the "field of view" in rendering options but this has no effect on the 2D cockpit view). 2: Handling. My main reason for buying x-plane is for realistic flight dynamics. RealAir Simulations sadly don't make any aircraft for x-plane so I first need to find an aircraft with realistic handling qualities. Are there any tested and flown by real pilo…

The X-Plane manual states FF is available from X-Plane 9.30>>It also describes how to set values per plane in PlaneMaker.I have been experimenting with these settings ( and saved them to the aircraft involved) , nevertheles my Microsoft Sidewinder 2 FF stick stays static.Any clue?Leen

Hi,I am currently still a PC user and FSX user. A few years ago I bought X-Plane 9 and gave it a try on a i7-920 2.67 ghz system. I was willing to switch over to X-Plane if it out performed my FSX on my system. It was OK, but I wasn't too impressed. FSX ran just OK with most settings turned down, and I was hoping XP9 would be better, but I still had to tweak sliders down quite a bit. This is what turns me off about FSX. It seems no hardware is ever ready for MFS when the newest version is released, and sliders have to be tweaked down to get reasonable performance. Now I see X-Plane 10 will be out soon. Hi All, I reloaded X-Plane on my new rig after a couple of years since last try. I've tried the nice Fokker F-27 and have been impressed with its flight model. The freeware 737 is nice also. Still, the models tend to feel "light" and relatively twitchy on final approach. Do any of the big payware aircraft (Dash 8, CRJ-200, Bombardier C-300, ERJ-400, in particular) demonstrate a relatively heavier "inertia" model within a 3D cockpit environment? Which payware (if not above) demonstrates the possibilities of a "big feel" aircraft in X-plane, while hand flying? (and yes, I've tweaked the joystick sensitivity values!) Hi all, Well I've just about had it with FSX. I don't fly aeroplanes to look at the individual rivets on the engine cowlings. Neither do I fly them just because they look pretty. Flight dynamics and systems authenticity are key for me - both in real-world flying and simulator. Only PMDG, Level-D and Real Air Simulations released the kind of aeroplanes I liked to fly in FSX but I thought it was time to try something new and have just ordered X-Plane 9. I know the new version is out at Christmas but thought I'd try and familiarize myself with the new software and addons first. Does anyone know if theres any way (apart from downloading a hookie copy) of turning off the 10 minute time out on X Plane? I've purchased a copy & am waiting for the full version to arrive. In the meantime I'd like to play around a little more with my new Carenado aircraft purchases in the Alps (modelled in the demo version) & get to grips with the general setup (Formerly Vatsimming FSX user). It says that it can take upto 4-6 weeks for the disks to arrive to the UK, & I want to get stuck in at least partially now! Thanks T

What pitch/roll/yaw settings do you use for test-flying your designs? I have a Saitek Pro Yoke and still can't get the feel right for this sim. Great visuals and performance. Just can't get the aircraft (172/Cessna 510/PA28) to handle in a realistic manner. Help!

Hello, just installed X Plane as a alternative to FSX after the trouble it has been giving me and it turns out, x Plane does the same thing.
