Hi,My copy of XP10 arrived this morning, and i've been having a play around with it and so far I love it. I also bought the Carenado F33 Bonanza as I'd heard it was good, and have been busy buzzing around the airports that were included with the version I got (the Aerosoft one).I've noticed something a bit wierd, in circle view in flight or on the ground, the aircraft appears to be shaking/shuddering. At first I thought it was turbulence but I switched all the weather to clear and no wind and it's still the same. Frame rates were not an issue, I was seeing 55+!Anyone else know anything about this or experience it?It's the latest beta (10.04 beta 4) and it was the same in …

I have just made available the experimental X-Plane 10 HD Mesh Scenery (as freeware). It covers these regions (screenshots are in the gallery on my page - or posted here in previous threads): European Alps and Pyrenees (and all land in between) USA West (Rockies, Grand Canyon … you name it) Alaska Canada West PLEASE: READ ALL THE INFORMATION ON THE DOWNLOAD PAGE BEFORE YOU START! There are quite some things to consider, before you start testing this scenery. I am in no way liable if you blow up your machine! Here is the direct link to the info/download page: http://www.alpilotx....d-scenery-mesh/(it also contains a little bonus - an experimental, dense forest replacement …

It would sure be nice sometimes if the blue taxi-way lights could be a little dimmer.. I know you can see them when you land in reality but usually they aren't as bright as the runway lights.. And when you fly directly over an airport it just looks a little too bright.. I'm not really complaining, i'm sure it is just a tweak somewhere.. What do you think??

Hi all. I'm just about ready to order XP10, and I had a few questions regarding the state of 3rd party development, particularly with utilities and enhancements of the non-aircraft and scenery variety. With FSX, you have programs like Active Sky generating robust weather environments, FS Passengers or XPax giving your flights some character with cabin crew, FS2Crew giving your flight processes real world flow and immersion, and so on. It's unfortunate that XPlane has received very little love in these areas, but I can understand why the 3PD would have some hesitation given how dynamic and evolving the XPlane development cycles go. Nevertheless, I am curious if there i…

I recently moved and had made a decision to give X plane a go once I got re-established; that time is now and i have successfully downloaded and installed the demo. However I do have a few questions... 1. I'm a hardware user and have had no issues getting X-plane to recognize my controls and inputs but I am use to working with FSUIPC in the FSX environment. Is XUPIC the X plane equivalent and is it as indispensable as I have found FSUIPC to be? One issue I am having with the control configuration is when setting up a switch X-Plane sees the input but I can't get it to execute any command when that switch or input is released. For example when I configure landing …

I love x-plane and desperate to get started with it but everytime I load up x-plane, ATC interaction reminds me why I perfer to fly FSX or fly around with x-plane without ATC til boredom. I just cant stand mouse click readback and listen to some computer generated voice talk for me. Why didn't the programmers incorperate key presses and disable pilot voice? It would had allowed us to atleast to use software such as Gamecommander or VAC to interact with ATC in a more realistic manner. being a avid fan of ATC and speech command, thank god that VOXATC is being considered for x-plane or else I would never get of the ground with it and would simply stick with FSX. If…

What's the trick to get the strobe lights to reflect off the pavement? I've seen it in lots of user videos, but I can't seem to get that effect for some reason.

Hello, I'm a noob to X-Plane 10 so bear with me. I'm using TrackIr and while it works well, I find myself moving all over the place. One second I'm behind the seat, the next, my head is outside the aircraft. Is there a way to set the pilot's eyepoint so that doesn't happen?

Some excellent third party aircraft in the works for XPX. Khamsin's De Havilland Chipmunk. http://blog.khamsin.org/category/De-Havilland-DHC-1-Chipmunk Had fond memories of this excellent plane for FS2004 by Rick Piper (anybody remember that?) Have to say I am very impressed with how they have implemented the touch interface. Does anyone have any experience of using Fly This Sim software? http://forum.avsim.n...-simulator-r105 http://www.flythissim.com/touchtrainer_cirrus.aspx Only the other day I was thinking about touch screen technology for a new simpit project. The price of this trainer seems steep but I presume that's because its very comprehensive software and because it uses the FAA certified X-plane license which comes on a USB key. The trainer is way out of my price range but I noticed they have a retail version of some of their software which comes on a panel for XP which seems a lot cheap…

Im new to x-plane 10. Well sort of new. As a long time fsx guy I have been working hard to try to get comfortable with x-plane 10 . i keep wanting x-10 to be great but I just never really get the hang of it. In particular I want to understand the eye position in spot view. The view i miss a bit is the way in which fsx allows me to go to "spot view" and then circle the aircraft . In other words the i am not in a fixed position and the eyepoint is moving around the plane. Is this what cinematic view is? Is this possible in x plane. I really dislike that the eyepoint seems to be fixed Thank you Peter

Hi all, I am really liking the XP-10 experience, but i becomes a little monotone, just to pick a aircraft and a flight path between to airports... So i wanted to create a small story to use for giving the flights some background, purpose and feeling... But i need some help, here goes (sorry for the much text): The Mafiosi Pilot. Flying missions as a mobster pilot, different type of missions, locations and aircraft, for example: VIP transport, Sightseeing in the old country, drug-runs from Mexico, money-laundering runs to the Caymans etc. Locations are: Italy (especially Sicily), New York and surrounding area, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Northern Mexico, Colombi…

I am flying the x737 in x plane 10 with javier cortes FMC . But I find it impossible to land ,due to the FMC performing weird. When I set the approach button it does not align me on the final runway approach .Let say I programmed a route from EGCC -EGLL The last point in my FMC is BNN and the airport EGLL at 178 degrees NAV 1 set to ILS freq at this point the VOR LOC will not lock and I just fly over the airport at 178 degrees or if I click the app button the x737 just turns right or left and crashes. Need help badly len

In FSX you could pan diagonaly with the joystick's hatswitch, but in XPX I can only pan horizontal or vertical. There is not button settings for panning diagonaly with the hatswith in the joystick buttons menu in XPX nor is there a general panning option, like FSX has. This makes panning with the hatswitch even more cumbersome. Also is there as way to stop the panning right away after centering the hatswitch on my joystick in XPX? There is still a bit of panning going on even if I stop panning when using the quick pan button settings in the joystick button menu, and using the normal panning button settings is just too slow for me.

Hello Team!By now we've all figured out that with XP10 Austin revamped the AI traffic engine so that each AI plane runs on its own core, that the flight dynamics of each AI aircraft are managed on an as real as possible fashion, etc, etc. Good start, but:1. At some point in the future, would we be able to add other aircraft models to the AI world? (Commercial and GA aircraft).2. At some point in the future, would we be able to have the AI aircraft world follow real life flight plans a'la Project AI?Austin has given us airplanes that fly well ( as realistic as possible), a great looking plausible world, a magnificient weather engine, and many other great things but some…

I've been a devout MSFS user since 1998 and since the release of Microsoft Flight have started thinking about switching over to XPlane 10. I'll probably switch over when they (developers) start putting good quality aircraft and scenery up.Today though I was wondering I have the Saitek Pro Flight yoke system, multi panel, radio panel, and another throttle quadrant, will those work in XPlane if I were to switch over.

Wow! Its amazing. I haven't even had a chance to really sink my teeth into it yet, but it looks, sounds & flys awesome! An instant favorite for me, cause im a big fan of these vintage planes. Very detailed cabin too. Virtual cockpit is the best ive seen. :yahoo:Rob

i'm a little confused as to why XP10 has an 8 CD install and no famous landmarks in major cities, lol. Are the cities atleast modeled correctly? FSX shipped on 2 CD'S and includes alot more, lol i'm from Montreal, Canada and FSX includes my old baseball stadium "THE OLYMPIC STADIUM" which has not been used since our baseball team left in 2004. i wan't 2 buy XP10 but i also want to know how real everything looks from the cockpit. i tried the demo and liked the graphics and sound but how is the whole planet?
