Flying around and looking at the map i see a couple of planes here and there but not really a lot of traffic.. I would like to go to one of the larger airports (ORD, DFW, ATL, DEN) places like that and be able to park and just listen to ATC and watch planes land and take off.. Especially with the air traffic following real physics, it would be cool to setup a heavy crosswind.. FSX had the ability to have that kind of traffic volume.. Does XPX not?? Are there any addons that would/will create this?? Just wondered..

I'm thinking of getting this plane as a step up from light single prop GA. Most comments I have read about it are very favourable and looking at their forum over at the org the support appears to be second to none. Linux is supported also which is a must for me. Does anyone know if there is an official review anywhere on this Aircraft. Thanks

Hi community, I am feeling its time for me to change from to General Aviation Aircrafts something a little bigger, i am considering the following 3 aircraft, but dont know whats the best, i have always flown GA's and by low-level VFR... So i am afraid that some of these beast could be a too big of a challenge to master, but you'll never know if you dont give it a try..!! The aircraft i am considering buying are: Challenger 300 CRJ-200 Douglas DC-3 Please give argumentation for your suggestion, thanks in advance...!!! Regards, Mo'

Ok, Im relativly new to X-plane and still learning the camera commands so bare with me. I had a little spare time last night and put together a little video to showcase this Iconic plane. I wanted to get music from "Island in the sky" but couldnt find it, so I used music from the "High and The Mightly" another old John Wayne aviation film. Looks best in 1080p, if your internet connection will allow. Rob

Hey I just want to see if anyone has a work-around for limiting the maximum movement of your yaw from trackir so that your head doesn't end up outside the aircraft.

  13. I have been messing with it the past day or so and WOW. What an awesome app/tool/whatchamacallit!Here are a few videos I found that are utilizing OSM2XP and Openscenery (these are XP9 I believe but it works just as well in XPX it seems):

Hi!I recently reinstalled X-Plane 9 because I just wanted to give it another try after having some experience with FSX, so I installed loaded it up and tried to load a flightplan into the sim, but I just couldn´t figure out how to do it.This UI is so terrible that I was completely lost.Surely there is a way to load a flightplan and then fly it, but how???

Hi Community,Now i have been flying all weekend for the first time in a X-Plane simulator the XP-10, and are loving every moment of it... But i really are loving bush flying and saw there where these two addons for XP-9... So finally my question, does anyone have tried them in XP-10 and are the recommendable... I love low-level flight so its important to me that the scenery are of good quality at low-levels...I tried YouTubing videos of the XP-10 with these addons but cant find any..!If this super community could recommend other bush-sceneries it would also be very welcome...I am still new in X-Plane so thats why these may seem as newbie questions...!! :-)Regards,Mo'

Not being a developer or having any knowledge of how to do this stuff, Im simply amazed at how much work must goes into making an addon plane, be it FSX or XP, its just amazing! Using Plane maker, I viewed a few of my addon planes and put a little video together to show how much stuff goes into these things we take for granted in flight simming. They look like th ebalsawood models I made as a kid, and I remember how much work that was. Rob

  18. Just got it in the mail today.. Spent more than an hour and a half loading it.. Did the updates so we are all good.. Launch the sim and within a matter of minutes thats all she wrote..Of course, i AM running WinXP, 2gb Ram, 6600 Intel Dual core, and a pair of 8800 GTX cards.. Could that be a problem? ;-)Just gotta convince the wife it is time to buy a new computer..Would XPX really benifit from 16GB Memory vs 8GB, And i am looking at one of the 8 core AMD's.. Would it actually use that? Or is it overkill?? And if they ever can get the 680's in stock i figure i would use that also.. Any ideas??Thank you..

I splurged and finally got into the group and bought XPX.. I have been reading a lot about the sim, watching videos, who knows how many pictures and check the Dev Blog almost daily.. I have an older computer so i don't expect to be maxing out stuff for a while (new computer is the next step)..From what i have seen it appears as if the sim has a GREAT foundation.. With the streets/roads/highways i think that will be a real improvement over my FSX.. One thing is that it has unlike FSX these roads will actually have traffic on them, and thats without an addon..This will be a great effect when coming in on final and crossing a highway just before touchdown.. I am also looking…

I'm getting some jaggies on certain terrain areas that cause obnoxious shimmering. It's specifically areas that are fields/rural areas. Anyone else having this? I've got everything looking great except this annoying little piece. It's almost like certain "tiles" are not even with the areas next to it. Thanks for any info on a possible fix.

This seems to be a similar approach to OSM2XP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dS_Z5fPkuA8 They have some more screenshots on their website http://xht-labs.com/prj_xht.htmExtremely nice artwork - X-Plane 10 never looked more plausible :(.

It's useless and rather stupid from me to keep polling this Forum, just to express my disapointment with XPlane or read what's going on, if I amreally not interested in using it.Just as I did with almost all versions, including the only one I ever bought - v8 - I gave XPlane yet another try.I don't like it or at least it is not up to my expectations, and there is really no point keep posting why I don't like it,and even worse, going against the opinions of good people who are satisfied and happy with it.I wish you all great projects for XPlane10, and I think that Austin is a lucky guy having so much support from freeware/payware devs who make"miracles" with his simulator.…
