Hi there! I have the X Plane 10 Global Aerosoft Edition with some enhanced airports in Europe. After reading so many good things aout simheavens OSM packs, I decided to download and install OSM Europe + autogen. OpenSceneryX had been already installed. I followed the guide included in the download, but now, EDDS (Aerosoft enhanced scenery) Looks a bit weired, with missing buildings, etc. Here is my scenery_packs.ini, maybe I screwed something up in there:

The weather is really rough today around here. Just made a landing at LPPT rw 21 under gusting winds and rain showers, with turbulence that would really upset my Pax if IRL... But with my new springless Cyborg X, it was more or less easy :-) Now... I really want to take my Peter's A321 for a ride as soon as I get it. I am really enjoying having done so :-) Well, it all started last week when my Saitk X52 got completely mad. I couldn't fly with it, so, I picked an old Cyborg X, and started using it with the X52 Pro TQ, which remained working... Now, that Cyborg as a very stiff spring, and I hate flying with such a strong force being required for the slightest control inputs :-( Then, since saturday is usually one of my uninstall days of the week, I decided to ellect the spring as an uninstall candidate... Hello, I actually fly with FSX, with many addons and I am interested by Xplane 10. So I have a few question before try or buy it: - There's 8 DVD for installation, so is there some detailled include Airport? - Is there some good Jet, like PMDG in FSX, or Captain Sim, with FMS and so? - Does it running the same with a Linux installation? Please excuse the "simplistic question" I am a newbie to XPlane, come over from MSoft, Regarding the candair water bomber, when you select this plane it starts with the engine idling,sat on a lake. and also advises the anchor is deployed, How do you raise the anchor ??? I have looked all over the cockpit and cannot find the switch/lever. I am expecting it to be really simple ( when you know how).

Hi, Could anyone please point me in the right direction? When I engage the 3D cockpit command view, I can't see the cockpit at all just a straight view out of the window! How do I look around the cockpit and out the side windows of the 777 I am flying? When I create a flight plan in SImroutes and then file the flight plan in x plane nothing happens! ATC just returns to the file flight plan menu. Basically I want to input a flight plan and fly that route to the airport! Any assistance would save my computer from going through a window! J

Any users? I had the Flight 1 ATR-72 500, my preferred turboprop commuter for FSX before the Majestic Q-400. Am seriously considering this one, but would like to read about your experiences :-)

I downloaded a couple of things from simheaven, the chicago photo scenery and wroclaw scenery, i also downloaded the 7 zip extracter and used it just fine. however, when i went to extract the downloaded OSM_Europe file, after i choose my destination folder and press ok, the 7 zip program says that it cannot open the file as archive. any suggestions as to why this is? i even downloaded it a second time to see if it helped

Ok, have a lot more od disk space today :rolleyes: ( don't even elaobare on why... ) so, I have started installing the many photo sceneries from SimHeaven. Next will be the V2 Photo scenery Mesh and the recently released patch for it. I really love photo scenery, and comparing to FSX with FTX Global and now what I guess is Vector, really makes me think how we X-Plane 10 users really benefit from a community of freeware developers like those who have been giving us all of this great add-ons!!!

So I ended up taking the plunge and got this. I'm fairly confident now this bird will keep me very occupied in X-Plane for quite some time! Anyone still on the fence about this one should definitely consider getting it, actually really glad I chose this instead of the 747-8i.

Hey guys... I'm new to Xplan10, and i wonder what is the best way to get real weather? Currently i use Xplan 10 64bit and Skymaxx Pro. I installed the NOAA plugin today, but i dont know how to get it work. The weather i get is not correct. No matter what day it is i get always the same weather as you can see in the screenshot. Is there any other "Weatherengine" like OPUS or REX, or maybe someone can explain to me how i get this NOAA thing to work?

Today, trying to make a flight in my new Peter's A321, starting from LPMA, I started X-plane 10 and placed my aircraft in RW 05. As soon as the sim loaded, I was in uwespeed's gorgeous LPMA scenery, but most of the land around me was flat, the rw was almost at sea level, and even a bridge crossed it???? What might have happened? - I do not have the Mesh v2 installed, nor any photo sceneries for that area. - the 3 folders that make up this airport scenery, including the "_3" one with the mesh, are in their correct places in scenery-pack.ini - yesterday I did install some photo-sceneries…

Hello everyone. So I've been starting to piece together what I need to upgrade in order to switch and run XP10 well. This is my current system that runs FSX pretty good: ASUS P8P67 PRO R3 1155 ATX EVGA GTX560TI 1GB PCIE CORSAIR 8GB 2X4 D3 1600 C9 DIM INTEL BOX INTEL CI5 2500K(over clocked to 4.3 I think) 700W power supply I know I want to upgrade the video card for sure. Thinking a 770 w/ 4G. If that was the only thing I upgraded, would that still run XP10 well? I'm thinking it should based on what I've seen in posts. I know I won't be able to max everything out, but would I be able to get most of the way? HDR? I'd like to run the JARDesigns A320, skymaxx,…

Just out of curiosity, how would one fly SIDs/STARs on vatsim in the FlyjSim 727 without an FMC?

I tried and put my destination airport and ATC doesnt do anything, just a message open flight plan (or somethng like that). Why is ATC sooo terrible in Xplane. I have the center freq ON in COMM and VOR and ILS frq in the NAVs

Trying my hand at building my home airport KCOS. Using the Nationalmap.gov viewer. What I want is the Geotiff file and am not being offered that option in the download. I only select the imagery and orthoimage in the selection boxes. Am I selecting too much by doing the entire airport? Thanks for any help you might give.

I am really enjoying Sky Maxx Pro, but under some circumstances, and even when I choose the highest level for overcast, I prefer the effects of default clouds for those specific situations that I describe bellow. This happens when the cloud layers are stratified - Sc, Ns, St - are, at least here on my install, always represented by cumulus that I would as much consider as SCT. This happens to BKN and OVC METAR reports. I believe that in the first version I was able to see an OVC and even a BKN layer bellow me. It was a compact layer, with some "holes" in it :-) John, do you plan to tune this kind of cloud layers even better for future updates?

Yesterday I posted in the screenshots forum a flight from Portoroz (LJPZ) to Ajaccio (LFKJ) with the Moo and it was deleted. Is there anything I violated? It was 14 images hosted externally, altogether less than 2.5 MB, thus not heavy on the bandwith.

Hi guys Just had to post because I just bought the Q400 while it was on special. My first heavy after many years of flight simming (well sort of heavy anyway) so I now have lots to learn but pretty excited and looking forward to it. One small point. When it first loaded was stuck on the weightNBalance screen. When I checked the log file it said it was failing on weightNBalance. So for any other linux user who gets their feet wet with this plane, all that is needed is to change "WeightNBalance.lua" to "weightNBalance.lua" and you're good to go. I think it's going to take months to get to know this bird

Anyone aware of any good apps that integrate well with X plane 10.25? Specifically FMC's, and something that can control the basic radios and AP in the cessna etc...? Cheers and happy new year! Ian
