In the quest for micro stutter free smoothness, I was just randomly picking things in the settings menu to turn on and off. One of the unintended results was to notice the difference in how the overall dawn and dusk environment looks when "draw per pixel lighting" is unchecked. Hey guys, Iv been a Ms flight sim guy since fs95, but with the big changes going on I'm thinking of leaving fsx but in in 2 minds if I should give p3d my full support of five X plane a try because as we know its not a cheap hobby lol, so I was wondering if anyone could drop a few points on getting x plane up to a good standard what add ons scenery and tweaks bear in mind I'm looking for realistic aircraft Cheers Paul

X-Plane 10.35r1 64-bit on a very fast Win 8.1 machine with most settings at max setting. Many years ago I became enamoured with the huge list of dangerous airports assembled by Michael Doherty for FS2004. There are some 790 of these dangerous approaches (counting a very few duplicates in which he has varied conditions or changed runways). Just a BIG THUMBS UP! regarding my experience with the HD beta 6 World2XP scenery areas for Portugal, including the Azores islands, and Spain. Hi, next saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm there's the next annual flight simulator conference at the Paderborn Airport / Germany. Organised by Aerosoft. Several companies and organisations related to Flight simulations are showing their products and activities there. The focus has always been on FSX mostly. For myself, it was XP v6.0 Just came off a flight between San Diego, and San Francisco. XP 10.35rc1, is the smoothest flight sim platform running on my system. Dead smooth screen animation, mostly keeping at my locked 33 FPS. So very, very satisfied with the XP 'experience'. So...when did YOU, get on board? Mitch

Hello everyone, I recently returned to x-plane after quite a few years. Still consider myself a beginner and just having fun. This time I am enjoying learning a few things about scenery design. It is lots of fun, and addictive. Anyway, I would like to know the proper way (if any) to have more than one version of the same airport in x-plane and be able to switch from one to another without a whole lot of issues. Maybe if I knew specifically what happens when I "export scenery pack" I could understand it better and figure something out myself. Using WED, I have found that changes to runways, taxiways, beacon, etc. have to be made in the first airport version to be seen in x…

Captains, I have a strange problem. Certain keys do not work unless I use shift + key .e.g SHIFT+L (will give me "L" in CAPS ) but without the SHIFT it will not do anything. Same with B / T . I noticed this when trying to communicate with the ATC on vatsim. Is anyone facing this problem ? I am thinking it could be the Plugins which I am using like Autogate / PilotView / Plugin Admin / NOAA Weather / FlywithLUA / Xtraffic / Xsquawkbox / Seatraffic. Would appreciate if someone could help. Thanks.

Hi folks..Every time I load the 757 theres always rain drops on windsheild even though its sunny and clear out. Is this a bug or is there anything I can do to fix it? Im using Xplane 10.32. Thanks Paul

Any suggestions? I didn't even lok at the default settings in NI - X-Plane is listed there. I am not using HDR mode, and I am getting much better frame rates than I got in the past. Version 10.35 looks very smooth overall, but I wonder how you have been dealing with the settings through Nvidia Control panel or Inspector? Any suggestions welcomed, although I recall from the past that the best advice was not to use it, and simply set the rendering options through the game menu... But! There's a thread talking about gains when threaded optimization is turned OFF ? Hints ?

Hi, I'm new to X-Plane. It seems that the planes like to start rolling even though the throttle is in idle position. I have just bought the Tomahawk II from Alabeo and this one does it too. I have only flown the Grob G115 in the real world and I don't recall it behaving like this. Is this a bug in X-Plane in general or is there a setting I'm missing? Cheers, Hakim Harder

Hi, several years ago I flew online for some time. Now after having taken a longer break and using X-Plane 10 mostly I would like to fly online again. So my question is: Which Pilot client for X-Plane users is better, the one from IVAO or VATSIM? Which is more stable, reliable and keeps being actively improved? is there any difference? Anything else especially a X-Plane user should know when deciding which network to use? Is one more X-Plane-user-friendly from a technical viewpoint? Thank You!

Hello everyone, I have downloaded Ted's Central and South Florida scenery for X-Plane 10 and installed them. When loading I get an error that some scenery was not loaded, I hit "understood" and the flight loads up. I do notice that some of the terminals are missing. I went into the LOG file and there are some errors but I'm not quite sure what to do about them. I read the "read me" file provided with the scenery and did as it told in there. Any suggestions? I would like to know, for the average European regions, what will have a higher impact on FPS - SimHeaven OSM or the Countries World2XP sceneries? I installed OSM Europe, but would probably get the Portugal and Spain, as well as some other countries around Europe World2XP sceneries. 1) I believe that if I declare them above the OSM Europe, the specific regions will take precedence, right? 2) Since I also use Zone Level 16 from Zone Photo, for some areas of Portugal and Spain, and those are at the end of my scenery config file, I guess that the World2XP objects will be superimposed over them, right ? 3) Last but not least, say I get the "SD" version of Wo…
