Hi, I'm trying to create tiles with ZL17 around airport (10000m high-res radius) and the rest of tile ZL16. Since currently g2xpl chooses ZL-3 for the non-high res part of the tile, I have to follow procedure as suggested in FAQ: 1) Create full 1x1 deg tile with ZL16 (high_res_radius_m=0) 2) Rerun g2xpl changing in .ini: ZL to 17 and high_res_radius_m=10000. (Assuming cache folder is not deleted from previous run) Are these steps ok ? It seems to work, altough I cannot understand why scenery folder size grows from 2.2 GB in point 1... (this is normally the size for a full 1x1 deg ZL16)... to 4.32 GB in point 2. When adding a high-res layer of ZL17 of 20km2 , it shou…

Hello everyone, I just see that Simheaven has closed the doors... :( I had downloaded some photosceneries from their website but I lack some... I prefer their sceneries in ZL17 than zone photo in ZL16. Maybe some of you have some photoscenries for France and Spain that can send to me. Or maybe you know other website where I can find some.... This is on my 32 bit machine ... I tried checking the full screen box to see what the full screen mode looked like ... didn't like it unchecked the box ... nothing ... quit the program had a cold boot ... problem remains. I uncheck and recheck and uncheck again the full screen box and nothing happens it stays in full screen. The list for resolutions is not grayed out when unchecked. How can this be fixed? My driver has been updated.

I am an aged newbie to X-Plane 10, have downloaded and installed and I am gradually getting around the various aspects of the program. I am trying to add the Ground Services plugin but after several attempts I just cannot seem to get it to install. Would someone please be kind enough to explain exactly what I need to do remembering that I am an OAP and a bit slow at picking things up regards Brian

Hi everyone. I've seen all the great scenery that MisterX6 and ISDG have produced, like KLAX and YSSY respectively, and I wanted to make my own contribution to the X-Plane community, by modelling WSSS (Singapore Changi) and hopefully other airbases around Singapore as well. Besides just the airports themselves, I'd like to populate the entire island and especially the Marina Bay area with nice, hand-made skyscrapers and multi-storey housing. I realise that this is a pretty big project, but I'd like to start small, with just the airport and underlying terrain textures around Singapore. I have not seen this post yet, so I hope this is not a repeat. But when I exit the program an error window comes up which is sent to a support group. When I go to restart xpx, I get a warning that app is already running. The only way to get program to run is to reboot PC. I also bought program from steam, so I can't find a way to upgrade to 10.35. I was told this upgrade may fix my exit problem. I hope I have not thrown away 60 bucks. Thanks

I am getting the effect of landing any aircraft as if it were landing on a sheet of ice, everytime I take of and land, it is worse on landing, regardless of wind conditions, weather etc. I have tried re calibrating which helped a tiny bit but not much. I currently have the ch rudder pedals, which I bought used and I am wondering if perhaps they have too many hours on them and need to be replaced. Any thoughts or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Scot

I recently picked up X-10 Global and did a full install on my SSD. Gotta say, I was pretty impressed by Seattle in its default. Looked great. Then, I went to my local airport, about 60 miles from the Rockies (CYQL) and the disappointments really began. The default strip was absolutely woeful and X-plane had the Nasa 747 taking off on the 5500' runway ahead of me. I could live with that though. The biggest issue I had was the distance drawing. I extended the drawing options that I could see, took away fog/haze and could not see even the most basic outline of the rockies from my airport. I flew towards them and probably needed to get about 30-40 miles until they started…

I spend most of my time flying GA planes and always wanted a decent version of my hometown Airport (Republic Airport KFRG) in Long Island NY. I took lessons here, got my PPL here and now fly here from time to time with my brother in his Cirrus SR20 (lucky devil!). Republic Airport was the home of Republic Aircraft Company and built such legendary aircraft as the P-47, F-105, and A-10 Thunderbolt. I downloaded from the ORG today, the following from Mr. X6. KSAN KSFO PAJN I could only take a brief flight around KSAN and PAJN, but it was enough to know where the furture of flight simulation potential is...and for myself, it is XPlane. To see these three selections in DSR 2.0/33 at 25-29 FPS....was truly 'breath-taking' for realism, and to fool the mind, that the scene is real. OMG! Hello, I don't have a copy of XPX but was wondering if it was possible to have a separate window open and in display on XPX kind of like FSX allows you to do. In other words if I wanted to have a map window up in the corner or perhaps a small 2D panel of the primary flight instruments up but still have the majority of my viewing area in the 3d cockpit. If it isn't stock is there a plug-in or utility that performs this function. Thanks, Brett

Something I really miss from FSX/P3D is ORBX's little GA airfields and grass-strips. They have a great atmosphere to them, and are a great way to start and finish a flight. As everything with X-Plane, if it's lacking, you create it yourself :smile: This is my 3rd airfield project and since it's a fairly small but busy airfield (EGNU in the UK), I'm really concentrating on the small details to try and bring the field to life: I've added a basic orphophoto around the airfield and edited out the car and building footprints as I work on them. This way, the shadows aren't static and burnt into the ground, and it looks more natural. The airfield has full night-lighting…

I just install XPlane 10 on my 32 bit system and my analog stick and throttle won't work ... I have usb rudder pedals and they work but not the analog ... what is the problem? They work fine in MSFS 2004.

Note: 10.35b2 just came out. It is a small package. No info at Developer Blog yet.

Hi, I wanted to install KVNY (Van Nuys) but it required RuScenery. After looking at the website it stated it was for Russion airports etc. Not sure if I should download or not. Did not want to move something that will not make the standard at some point in time. What would you suggest? Anyone here using it? Bob

Xplane Development Update: We have begun to discuss (at last!) unveiling our first preview for our first Xplane development project. (That sounds frighteningly like we have started to plan to plan for a planning meeting.... I don't mean it to sound that way.
