Anybody else using auto_lod from x-plane.at ? http://www.x-plane.at/drupal/node/386 I only installed it yesterday, and could not judge yet if it is any good. It is supposed to keep fps in the 20ties by reducing the lod on the fly. What are your thoughts ?

I'm trying to figure out why this little king air can't handle a stiff crosswind. Is it my setup? (Or PEBKAC!) I'm departing Ry 27. Winds 33015G25KT. A decent wind but nothing amazing. I've got basically full left rudder and right aileron on takeoff roll but I'm basically going off the runway. Rudder boost on or off won't affect anything.

Have you guys heard of this? It should be out soon! Finally an all around AI plugin for X-Plane. You will be able to have AI sea and land traffic such as vehicles as well as airplanes. It uses .obj files instead of .acf files so frame rate issues shouldn't be much of a problem. Hi All Playing around with X-Plane on archlinux and trying to launch with optirun, but its just not happening. Getting this error: /usr/bin/vglrun: line 246: exec: X-Plane-x86_64: not found Any suggestions ? Cheers

It's a know issue, running X-plane in 3 monitores stretches the stars and the moon looks pixelized giving a horrible look to a night enviroment that is gorgeous on the ground. The question is...anyone was able to solve this problem? Thank you.

Good news - The Twin Star has been upgraded. Bad news - The Baro/Course control doesn't work in setting course. The baro function works ok. I tried the control on both sides of the cockpit. I downloaded a fresh copy from the org. Anybody else have this problem? Aside from that, it looks great.

I migrated to XPX as I have a Mac (also a homebuilt PC). A Mac is obviously less customizable for hardware and drivers. I wonder what XPX addons are not compatible with the Mac, or what advanteges the Mac may have? Thanks, Bruce.

All the x-plane video I made on my youtube account that features x-plane are filled with positive comments and much higher amount of likes than dislike while my P3D and FSX video are riddle with negative comments and dislikes. It seems to me there that the P3D/FSX community is very toxic and filled with users that take the simulation aspect of the game more seriously than most pilots. I think I will have to start creating more content for the x-plane community as I prefer the overall outcome. Even thought I made have messed up a procedure or did something wrong, the overall tone are very positive and instructive. Thank you guys for watching.

Howdy Folks! Heads Up! Michael Chang has converted the POSKY 767 for XPX. It's all been done with all the proper permissions. I don't have a machine to test it at the moment but his previous work has been excellent so go get these beauties and start testing. Hi, As the title says very weird. Usually one over clocks the system to gain performance but here it is the other way round. Since months I use to clock it to 4.0 ghz and also went to 4.4 Ghz and never gained any performance in XPX so the other day I went and down clocked it to 2.7 Ghz and tadah straight gain of 4-5 fps. If I get it to 2.9 Ghz I will loose frames. The other part when I switch off HDR there is no difference between HDR ON + FXAA , today I tried a flight @KBFI on vatsim with the vFlyte Cruiser and the weather was perfect for VFR just not a single cloud and what 27-30 fps earlier was nothing more than 15-18. Hi there, just want to try out xplane or check whether it is time to give it a chance. I tried xplane some time ago with Rollon CRJ but was scared off because it's minimal system simulation. So quick question: are there any highly complex airplanes out there to buy with the system simulation of majestics q400, a2a or pmdg aircraft? Also are there any complex simulated helicopters like dodosim's 206? Do they support airac updates through aerosoft or navigraph? I want to have a complex system simulation, graphics are minor but a realistic sound system is crucial (no pack sounds or fan sounds are a no go if they're present in real aircraft). I've recently just come across this problem the other day trying the latest 10.30 release. I notice that RC2 just came out but have only used RC1 so far. After taking off on a flight in the FF 757 (haven't had a chance to try other aircraft yet) I notice that the sim will pause momentarily as it updates weather and cloud positions, this has always happened to some degree but never as frequently as it does now. The pauses now last much longer than before, sometimes for up to 15 sec being very disruptive to the flight and the worst ones happen during climbing and descending with almost constant pauses. Just got this one, I really like the jump in and go type of planes, especially fast ones like these. But....it seems quantity is now more important than quality at Carenado. Why leave out the light dimmers? Every previous plane has them, but this one has an on/off flood light. The dimmer dials are non functional.... And would it be possible to add the sirene like sound on startup to make the sounds more complete? Really hoping for a small update. Other than that, it's really nice in xp.

Boy did I miss out on x plane 10 , at first a taught( like maybe a lot of simmers ) this simulator was not right ... and was I ever wrong , after looking at screenshot's and posts, I finally finished setting xplane 10.35 up with all the goodies plugins etc . and its amazing . vc lights ore far more detailed , and the night light is extraordinary , cloud shadow are just perfect and CUSTOMABLE , and AI traffic WOW engine 1 and 2 starts with lights and sound fantastic , scenery finally real looking . and OOM free . and most of my fsx airport are importable ... I decided to try Xplane 10.35, since the last version I tried was 10.25. The previous version ran great on my computer, just silky smooth all around. This time, however, I'm getting a LOT of bad stutter. My framerate is fine - around smaller airports 100+ fps - but I get these regular stutters that I can't figure out. I'll be flying along and then every 5-20 seconds everything freezes up for half a second to a second or so. I'm not using any add-ons or anything yet, and my rendering options are all set very conservatively (mostly defaults, except setting the display resolution.) Hi Captains, I need some help with the C90B as she flies horribly, its like on a string in fact a rubber band. The other free-ware aircrafts I have are very stable excluding the every second roll and the torque. Really appreciate someone knowledgeable about how to stabilize this aircraft in X plane. Thanx

Hello all, to me it seems I have my scenery in order, but maybe I'm just not understanding this correctly. I'm not seeing the photo real scenery. So far I've tried multiple airports in North America.
