Hi everyone, This may be my setup... so would anyone mind confirming wether the EFIS displays on both pilot and copilot sides work in 10.35. Mine do not for some reason. It's been some time since I loaded this aircraft, so I may have broke something when I updated to 10.35 the other day. It was working in 10.32 Thanks so much in advance. Best, Jeff UPDATE...Yep, it is my system...all is good now. Man, gotta stop flying after a long day! Sorry to have wasted the space. All I did was reboot X-plane. Best, Jeff

Hi, I recently purchased Xplane 10 global. with the Saitek Cessna package (control wheel, trim wheel, and foot pedals). I would like to get my settings as close to real as possible. (I am not a pilot) but I know that every plane is different. I am interested in the cessna 172SP Skyhawk with out the glass cockpit (older model) I know that a real plane has more resistance with air speed. Controls become more sensitive as air flow over the control surface. I have went through the XPLANE manual. I understand the STABILITY portion It said put the sliders all the way to the left for more realism. I also read a forum where someone said that the sliders all the way to the left a…

I've just added the fourth video in a series on how to improve the scenery in X-Plane 10. This episode shows how to add 3D objects using World2XPlane. The result improves the above ground view for added realism and immersion.

I asked in the Austin Meyers interview thread, whether anyone knew the status of this suit. I found some interesting information regarding Patent Troll suits, that seem to have gone unnoticed, and didn't want to hijack that thread. Looks like good news for Austin. In July 2014 The US Supreme Court unanimously ruled that ideas alone can not be patented, I don't know how this will affect this suit, but I would think it certainly weakens UNILOC's claim!! http://reason.com/blog/2014/06/21/supreme-court-rules-against-patent-troll

Hi everyone, Is any one experiencing click spot issues with this new release? In full screen they are extremely quirky... They work one second, then they don't... leaving me grounded and frustrated at the moment. Could just be my system. I did try with and without trackir in full screen mode. If I use windowed mode that's not sized up yet, everything works fine until I go full size windowed mode and problem returns. I only use xplane in full screen, so this is not a good option for me. I am on X-Plane version 10.32 at the moment. I did not apply the new update yet. Any suggestions that you can share so i can pin this one down? Again, maybe it's just my system...a plug i…

I'm about to host a company event at my house this Summer, and I also have a full-size B1900 sim in my basement. I think it would be cool to have my B1900 repainted in my company's colors/Logo. Any takers? I would pay for the work.

Hi, I am trying to map keys on my Saitek X52 to toggle this plug-in on and off and vary other settings: Sceninc Flyer V1.3 http://digital-avionics.com/scenic/home.html The instructions suggest mapping these commands: /view/scenic_flyer_on_off Great on a joystick button, this turns the panel on/off. /view/scenic_panel_larger Makes the Scenic-Flyer panel larger. /view/scenic_panel_smaller Makes the Scenic-Flyer panel smaller. /view/scenic_select Toggles the panel between GA and Glass. /view/scenic_transparency Alters the transparency of the panel. /view/scen…

I am a user of SkyMaxx but recently I have been using the standard X Plane clouds and getting some very interesting results (i.e. beautiful skies) and not getting a massive frame hit. It may be that I adopted SkyMaxx at pretty much the same time I became and X Planer and, therefore, never gave the standard clouds much of a chance. I starter experimenting with the standard clouds because I have been getting some strange shadow artifacts with SkyMaxx on the horizon. So maybe nothing has changed and skies this good were always possible, but interested if anyone else has noticed an improvement. Here are some screenshots to demonstrate. http://1drv.ms/1Exq3Qb cheer…

Hi I'm very new to xplane and track ir I've managed to set up a reasonable profile for Xplane that apart from one thing I'm happy with which is the forward view Which is far to low, because when I sit in the cockpit I see about 80% instruments and 20% outside. I want to be able to see about 70% outside and 30% instruments so that I only have to glance down to see anything relavent. The only way that I can do this to any degree is to sit bolt upright which gets very uncomfortable after only a few minutes. If I switch track ir off and use the keys to adjust the height position everything is fine but as soon as I re-engage track ir the view goes back to how it was before a…

Hi, I am looking to break back into flight simming and wanted ot get an idea of what sort of performance I could expect in x-plane 10. My system is as follows: i7-2600K 3.4 GHz 8 GB Ram EVGA 560 Ti 1GB I realize the system is a bit dated and I am considering purchasing a GTX 970 4 GB (I have been lead to believe that this 3.0 PCI Express card will not be bottlenecked by the 2.1 PCI Express slot on my MB I just run a single monitor at 1920x1080 Any insight is appreciated, just looking to look before I jump :-) Thanks Brett

I have XPX.35 final crammed to the gill slits (as you have seen...) with fabulous 3rdP scenery. I have my hangar crammed with the GA and tubes... and I have a constant 30 FPS, with absolutely NO animation stutter of any kind, macro, or micro. The only two sims that gives me this...is FS9 and XPX. You can't get rid of stutter, no matter how much horsepower you throw at FSX.X or P3D.x If your plane is in motion...you will get stutter of some kind. On the flight above beautiful parts of Tennessee today....the clouds are moving past as in real life. The plane is handling as it would in real life, smoothly through all planes of animation. Today, I am in truly, 'si…

Hullo, I bought X-Plane 10 not long ago and I am really enjoying it. I also have FSX but I have not used it since I acquired X-Plane; I have not quit on it though. However, FSX is a 32-bit application and I am using the 64-bit version of X-plane 10. Now, I am not a hardware expert but I could imagine that the two applications make use of my hardware in different ways. This is my iMac: 27" iMac (medio 2011): Intel Core i5-2400 CPU (3,1GHz) 8GB DDR3 RAM AMD ATi Radeon HD 6970M (1GB DDR5 RAM) Can anyone here tell me if I would see a better performance if I up my RAM from 8GB to 16GB? Or is X-Plane more focused on GPU and VRAM. In addition, would it be worth the…
