I downloaded and tried the demo but was not necessarily blown away as some others. I found the cockpit shadows blocky, clouds to be a little blobby and hat difficulty with slow panning with my hat stick. After hearing quite a few raves from the PD3 forums i thought I would post here to see what the demo is missing compared to the beta version.

Hello guys and gals! Using beta 1 I was unable to get the throttle axis to move if I just set it to "Throttle". Setting it to "throttle1" it worked but obviously ruined the day when flying multi-engined aircraft. The fix to this was easy and elegant: edit the preferences ("_joy_AXIS_use") set all of those values to 0, recalibrate and then you were good to go; "Throttle" worked. The beta 2 reset all of this and I'm trying this trick again but this time around it doesn't work. Is the plug in to be loaded: "Xsaitekpanels_2_56"? Is all that is necessary, is to put the "Xsaitekpanels" folder into the "Resources, Plugins" folder? Am I missing anything? Sorry for all the questions, but this is my first time using plug ins and I can't get it to work. Thanks,

Are there any issues using PFC controllers with Xplane ? Will XP recognise them as game controllers? PFC yoke and separate throttle unit. thanks

I recently installed beta 2 for XP 11. I have all graphic settings maxed out. I just went to KSFO and took off, heading downtown. The airport scenery is highly detailed. But, all other areas only have lots of generic buildings now. There is no Discovery Place, no Candle Stick Park, no SF Bay Bridge, just a flat generic bridge. I am almost certain that I had great scenery in SFO before the upgrade, but I have to admit that I still run FSX once in awhile, so may be thinking of that. I am new to X-Plane, so may have screwed something up, not knowing what I was doing. System is Intel i7 4770k at 4200 MHz, 32 GB DDR3, GTX 1080, 8 Gb. Running smoothly at 30-40+ FPS.…

When running X-Plane 11 on my old computer with Windows 7, I ported several Caranado planes and JRollon's T34 Mentor plane from 10 to 11, they flew and looked prey decent. I now have my new computer with Windows 10 Pro and none of the planes that I have ported over from 10 to 11 show up in aircraft configuration at all. Can anyone give me some guidance? Thanks,

thinking of an upgrade to a thrust master warthog hotas , giving theres no z axis . ie twist on the stick. what are the opinions of the learned flight simmers. any one who users one which is there best way of attending to yaw(( Saitek x 52 at moment) I find a bit limp

Hello, I am quite new to Xplane and I can't remember which of the rendering setting I need to increase in order ot have the light in the cities. Currently, I can only see lights along the roads and everything else is black. I run HD Mesh V3 and x Enviro as addons. If I remember well, I had lights in cities some time ago but it seems some of my settings resets themselve with 10.51 update. Thanks for your kind helps, Pierre

Hi Folks, Still evaluating the new XP11 Beta, and just wanted to ask if anyone else is seeing long pauses, screen stops briefly say a second then ok for say 10/15 secs then pause? also noticed that the ground is always shaking even with the aircraft parked engine stopped so not vibration of the camera etc. Appreciate that this is Beta, but just trying to undersatnd if it is my system rather than the sim. I really hate having to make duplicate copies of my entire custom scenery folder from XP10 to use with XP11... is it possible to make a symbolic link in my root XP11 folder to use the custom scenery from XP10? This would save me a ton of space... I know its possible, because I've seen and heard several people doing this and I see that Ortho4XP can create links automatically, but that feature doesn't work for me. So I have to do it manually. But would also wonder if this would also work for other things such as plug-ins as well? Where I can link the files I need from XP10 so that XP11 can access them.

I just tried to re-set my PFC controls with Xplane 10 but the software is not working with the controls. Do I need a driver?

I thought I could never get into XP because several versions back I did not like the UI, and the lack of all the default airport buildings found in MSFS. But with the new UI with the XP 11 beta and demo I thought I'd try the demo and grew fond of it very quickly, especially the night lighting, way beyond what I ever had with MSFS, FSX, or even P3D. I was also happy with the default 172 and the tail-dragger, they are pretty sharp, and I have not had a 747 in ages so I love it. I aklso found some free apps to add buildings to any airports I want, and so many free and payware out there. I expect improvement in all area's of the sim and will love it. But, …

I do not see this issue in videos from XP 11, so I'm wondering if anyone else in here has got this problem. Whenever my aircraft is on the ground I can see through the ground surface, both in internal and external view.

I have been "playing" with X-Plane 11 for a few days and there are several things that are driving me nuts. Firstly, Scenery is not displayed when downloaded. What happens is the DSF files in in the earth nav data file, which resides in the global file, does not have any data in them. The file is there, but no data resides. The results, no scenery just water. Secondly, the buildings at major airports will some times display, and sometimes not. I can be at SFO with the terminal present, but when I change airports, for example GRR, the terminal and hangers are not present. At present, these are the major issues that make the simulator not very immersive nor …

If I add stuff, scenery, aircraft, mesh, etc to the beta to get a bit more eye candy etc, does each new beta version have an effect on the add on's, positive or negative? And when the actual release of XP 11 comes out will there be a whole new install of XP 11 and then all of the add on's, etc? To tell the truth I am pleased to fly it as is right on through to the finish, and then worry about customizing it.

Your posts on XP11 have convinced me to give it a real go. I downloaded the beta last week and spent some time with it, but gave up after conflicting yoke inputs, and an inability to get the eyepoints for three screens right for my rig. But you've convinced me to keep at it. I'll take any advice from XP experts on how to get my visuals right in a single PC environment (I won't run multiple instances). For those not familiar with my rig, you can see it in the video at the bottom of the post. Is it just my installation or do many of the buttons on the "X-Plane 1000" and the auto pilot not work?

I installed the XP 11 beta demo and fell in love so I bought the full beta. I had not liked the previous XP interface, but thought I would give XP 10 a go and maybe purchase a pl;ane or two with the Carenado sale going on, and try a nice scenery or two. I had XP ? installed long ago and was able to manage my way through the interface so I thought I would download XP 10 since it came free with the beta for XP 11. I clicked on the installer and then on install another version of XP, clicked on install XP 10, and then clicked only on the U.S. scenery to get an idea of XP 10 and install a region a night at bedtime as I did with XP 11. I just filed a bug report on this but wanted to see if it was just me. I'm at KDTW and tried to tune ATIS on 133.670 in the default Cessna. But, I could not tune XXX.670 - it went from .665 to .675.

I purchased the RXPGTN-750-XPL but I can't install it because the installer is looking for the XP10 folder, witch I deleted when I installed XP11. Is there a way to trick the installer by renaming the XP11 folder to XP10, or could that cause problems? Meantime, I am looking for my original XP10 discs. Thanks a lot,
