Hi guys a very new newbie. I have had interest in XP 10 for quite some time so I would like some idea as to what I need to run the sim. Due to space etc and never run or played the XP 10 I don't really know which path to take. So with what I have already bought in preparation for starting up could you give me some idea from my list if it's ok and what would I really need to set things up. Hello, i would like to have the An-2 in XP11. Unfortunately the plane won`t show up in XP11. Is anybody able to fly her in XP11? Or does anybody know an alternative An-2 model, which works in XP11? Many thanks! Greetings Nils

Flyinside for X Plane is out. I have been testing it. It looks beautiful, unfortunately performance is not there yet. You have to lower your settings a lot to get a smooth experience but you wouldnt experience the full beauty of X Plane 11. For example, if you dont use HDR, the cockpit is too dark but if you use it your fps drop to the floor. Its only when you get the sun in the cockpit that it looks amazing. Maybe I need a more powerful card (I have a gtx 970) or maybe more RAM (just 8 gb). Hopefully we will see an improvement on performance in X Plane 11. Still Flyinside with X Plane 10 is the best option for me.

Long time FSX/P3D user trying to get back into Xplane -- I've downloaded Tom's java library installer and the latest OpenSceneryX, but both are too clever for their own good and needlessly fail to install! OpenSceneryX tries to compare local files with the internet but fails (has the url changed?) and doesn't give the option of continuing anyway :( I've got a two year old copy of the library - I assume that needs updating? Any way of suppressing the check? Tom's combined java library installer fails because it doesn't think there is enough disk space...but it's reporting the size for the C drive when Xplane is on the F drive, which has oodles of space! I've finally decided to scrap my Macbook laptop for gaming and pick up a gaming laptop. I went for an Acer laptop with a GTX 1070 8GB, i7 3.2GHZ (overclockable) and 32GB RAM. Can anyone with a similar specced computer tell me the sort of performance they are getting in XP10 and 11. I have a painful 2 week wait for the computer, but I also have a 30day money-back guarantee. I'm hoping I made a good choice, as I still prefer laptops to desktops.

Fraps is kinda funny with XP11 thus far so I reshot it in XP10, and shocked I ever had a hard time with the XP10 UI.

Just curious: is there a simple way to change the width of roads? I absolutely love how XP shows me the real roads but specially the smaller roads, in cities, towns, etc. often are too wide... and when there are a lot of corners or when the road are on mountain sides things can look ugly (also because the roads aren't rounded...?). Is there something you can do about this? BTW It is a pity roads on mountains follow the slopes: that looks quite odd...

Hi All After using the trail for few days,I decided to buy the XP11 beta. I thought scenery installation was difficult-but now i have found I have no airport objects at some of the pre installed airport. Can you please advise why there are no push carts at EGBB-it's one of the pre loaded airports that comes within XP11. If I need to install a external pack-can you please advise which one. Well as much trouble as an unarmed Cessna can offer, anyhow. Was casting about my XP aircraft collection looking for something different to fly in XP11 tonight. Hit upon the Aerobask Fokker Dr.1, which I never really used much in XP10. Seems to work okay in XP11, in it's built-in 'Arcade Mode' (ran into a situation in Simulation mode where it quit and nothing I could do could get it started.) It's actually quite pleasant to fly in the sim, and since my FPS never went below 60 tonight, was as smooth as silk as well. I tried downloading some photo scenery from http://zonephoto.x-plane.fr/Cartes.php and after a long attempt to get Java working, I was successful, but the slow download speed is killing me. It's as if I went back in time to when I used a phone line to access the web. :smile: All kidding aside, is there an alternative location to get these files?

I am currently a FSX/P3D user but am contemplating trying out X-Plane 11 when it is released. I will need to update two hardware components and am hoping for some practicable advice. I just did my first 2 tiles last night with ortho using a batch build at zl17. it really does look nice but I have a few issues. I have a huge area of lake erie at the edge of the tile which looks like theres no data, its just white. parts of the coast line look jagged as well. also all the interstate raods have this flickering issue. Im new so dont bite if I did a rookie mistake. Thanks!
