Cannot install the beta update. Got the above error.

I just discovered this while watching youtube and thought it was pretty cool. You can have fully functional panels for each plane, and you can interact with it by touch in real time by using a touchscreen monitor or tablet such as iPad. I was wondering if anyone here has used this before and can comment on it. I'm thinking about getting this, but would like to hear from others who have used this.

Does XP 11 support SID and STAR? If so, how well does it work with built in ATC? I am thinking of buying it, but it is unclear. If it does, I assume it is also possible to update the AIRAC? Which planes support entering SID, STAR and approaches in the FMS/FMC? Sorry for the questions, I did google it but could not find anything that also answered the ATC question.

Excited to see there is an update from XP11 beta already. Unfortunately, installer wants me to click through each of the 1000's of modified files. Seems the "Do this for all files in this directory" button doesn't work, leaving you to have to click "Overwrite" of "Keep" for each file. Anyone else have this problem? Any work around?

I was testing different configuration options today to see how the various settings impacted my performance. It was no surprise that as I turned some settings up, images quality or scenery improved, while frame rates dropped. In an effort to get better insight into what all was happening, I set up CPU and GPU memory and processor utilization monitors, and with that, I got a real surprise... It appeared that regardless of settings, neither my GPU nor my CPU utilization were ever maxing out (unlike FSX and P3D where they will routinely max out if i crank up the right settings). I just bought the XP11 and is keen to dress it up. I'm downloading the airports suggested by Mario (http://www.avsim.com/topic/499079-new-to-xp-11-and-looking-for-beautiful-destinations/) and I have already hit the 20 files limit at x-plane.org for today. I have to do the rest tomorrow. Just curious whether there are resources that bundle popular freeware airports/sceneries together into a package so we can download all at once? BT download would be fine. I followed the development of XP10 closely and bought it the day it came out and impulsively removed FSX from my SSD. But, after playing with it for a while, I knew that I could not replace FSX for me and went back to FSX and then on to P3D and never looked back. Here we are again with a new version of XP which looks better than P3D and much less "cartoonish" and this time I have a bigger SSD that can hold both sims! I tried X-plane many times before, but I have't really stayed long enough to become solid XP user I've gone through all kind of versions of MSFS until finally switched to P3D. Just recently I read the news about XP 11 beta ( driven by my sim impulsiveness) I decided give it a shot. What can I say. I'm very impressed with what I see in beta. I'm impressed with the stability of XP11 beta. For what I've done to it the past few days while installing and uninstalling airports, scenery and aircraft plus experimenting with different settings it has held up amazingly well. I know that P3D would not have patiently put up with all this abuse without many freezes!

Is it just me or is the night lighting very poor in 11 . Flying around UK and demo area LOWI hardly any street lamps. If it was not for the lights from the windows of the houses would hardly see anything. Go to KSEA and looks great. Have not got xp 10 setup yet for comparison . Is this normal and I need add ons or is it because still in beta

I think it's important for the developers to see a list that while it's not "bugs" or " wish" list, this list is nonetheless considered necessary. My first item is the elevator trim axis. The elevator trim axis needs a slope or "resolution" setting. Currently, it does not provide fine trim that would be equivalent to a few key presses. tony

I am using 70 right now with a 1920x1080 monitor. I remember seeing video's about the view in FSX/P3D where someone calculated what the most realistic view would be for a specific monitor. I was wondering if there is a specific 'most realistic' FoV setting for XP11? Does it also depend on the plane you are using...? Is it all very personal? I have to get used to a lot of things yet in XP so I would like to get used to the best view too. :wink:

The more I fly and experiment with the settings the more I am liking XP 11. I love the night lighting, the traffic lights, the cars lighting, the landing light illuminating homes, towers, etc... I love the high lines, the street and highway overhead signs, the houses, and so much more. I love flying over my town and clearly seeing the roads and seeing the exact spot where my home is, and the homes of my friends. I love the performance I am getting aND CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE RELEASED version, the performance should be even better. Hi everyone I recently installed x plane 11. Although its a completely new beast-I am still having problems with key mapping. This was one reason I never used the previous versions. Can you please tell me how to assign key board commands for taxiway steering.I see the key board commands but its for only 1 key-i thought you need 2 keys-for left and right? I have a saitek quadrant and I have assigned one lever to tiller,but its very clumpy.either it over steers or under-nothing like p3d rudder steering. Or ideally is there a way of assigning rudder steering. I look forward to your help. Many thanks. Qas

Hi all. Just wanted to know what add-ons are currently compatible with XP11? Such as SkyMaxx Pro, RealWorld Connector, MaxxXP, World Traffic, Flight Factor 777, IXEG 737, Jar A330, Flight Factor A350 XWB, Carenado/Alabeo planes, 3rd party payware airports, and etc. Before I jump and purchase, I want to be sure that my add-ons for XP10 will work with XP11.
