now I have x plane 11 do I uninstall x plane 10 which is still showing as I separate entity. still works as well

As I'm using HD meshes where possible I'd like to delete the default scenery but keep the default gateway airports. Can I just go ahead and delete the dsf files from the Earth nav data folder in the global scenery folder?

Has anyone messed with the developer edit sky colors (from the top menu)? You can sort of get rid of the funky sky colors if you select the radio options. Orbit and Hi Alt look pretty good down low but the black sky above is not great using Orbit. Also I see options for cloud density puffs but I can't seem to edit them. And it appears my suscpisions were correct - about 100% cloud density. No wonder fps are choking on cloudy weather.

Hi, Just reporting what happened in my flight.Same error reported by another member testing his copy of X-Plane 11 beta. Day before Yesterday,I flown a short hop VFR flight in default Cessna 172 SP at USA West Coast. Created flight plan using default GNS 430.All worked fine. Just before landing at destination,the following error window appear, "GPS Runtime Error: END OF ROUTE" X-Plane 11 beta crashed.

I'm a long time FSX and P3D user who may be switching to XP. I tried XP10, but it didn't do it for me for a number of reasons. However, I'm quite impressed with the beta version of XP11. One question that I have is using the Scenery Gateway to add airports to X-Plane. How does one keep up with changes or updates that are made to all of those airports? It would seem to be a major task to keep up with changes and airports with perhaps tens of thousand airports. Thanks, Rick

Taking into account that the final product might be different from what the current beta is... here are a few questions, mainly concerning the rendering options, that came to me when watching different beta videos. I'm sure others are eager to ask questions too (and get answers of course Here we go: a) Is the 3D water already implemented? b-) What are the "windshield effects"? I've seen a checkbox for them... c) Is there an option to adjust the 3D objects rendering distance? Just a reminder that X-Plane 11.0 is now a public beta. This means it is not yet ready for regular use and should not yet be considered a replacement for X-Plane 10. Before commenting and jumping in: Please do not uninstall or remove X-Plane 10. You can run both simulators separately. Remember it is a beta. X-plane store has both these on sale. Ive read /viewed some of the sparse reviews, but would like to know if anyone here has their opinions on these two. Im the type who like my aircraft as sophisticated as possible, and while I dont think either of these are study level, one must meet up halfway? Just nice to have an EMB jet in the hangar and the feelthere for P3D is long in the tooth and hard to see with its poor visuals. Thanks

Hi guys, I can't seem to figure out how to assign my buttons. I have the Steam version. I went to the Joystick and Equipments section but I don't see the tabs along the top. I only have the option of joystick calibration and another for using this position as center. I really need to get my buttons set up and I'm hoping there is a way to speed up panning with the hat switch. Any help greatly appreciated Maurice

I had a look at Mesh HD v3 and some comparison screenshots: I thought that in P3D mesh mainly took care of mountains etc. but in X-Plane it also makes a HUGE difference in land class and what you see. Hi For a long time I wanted to get back into fsim so about two weeks ago I finally took the first step and bought XP 10. Unfortunately I am a little disappointed now. My main issue is the graphics. I tried all kinds of settings but I can't get it to look even close to all the videos I see on youtube. Now I am aware that I don't have any custom scenery installed. As a matter of fact, the only plugin I have is the IXEG Boeing 737-300. Here is the problem: sometimes my frame rates are between 40 and 50. And then they can drop to as low as 10. x plane 10, I want to no how to get airports( new to x plane) , when I go to a nominated airport in fsx its there. building planes etc.etc , when I take a flight x plane I just have a bit of scenery and runways only. also everything is flat land class wise, do I have to buy all airports or are some included. if some are included how do I activate them also were does mesh come in any help getting sorted bit by bit thanks in advance

Bought into the buy Xplane 10 get Xplane 11 free And i have horrible performance All settings on low as a last resort and still really bad FPS (Don't know how to bring up the fps counter in game) Are there any other settings besides the 5 bars in settings that i may be missing? With the new release of XP11 (even though it is beta) I am afraid :wink: a lot of newbie questions will be asked in this forum. Here is my first. :hi:Before I ask it though: would it be an idea to start a newbie topic...? Or is it better to start a new topic for every newbie question? Anyway, what I wanted to ask: I'd like to give Ortho4XP a try but with autogen etc, like in the pictures someone posted somewhere of Norway (Norway Pro). But it seems rather complicated and so I was wondering if there is any Ortho4XP scenery with autogen out there which I can simply download and install with a single click? So I can see what it is before I spend hours on getting into it?

My first Impression with the latest xp10 in 4k res and mostly high settings with my 980ti card oced to 1500/4000 mhz. took off from KSEA in the default 172 with sim locked to 30hz monitor refresh rate. well , the performace isnt as good as I hoped, p3d runs much better for me at these settings, way more smooth. I am getting a lot of stutters. Keep in mind I am an xplane noobie, i have no idea what to tweak or dial back. GPU is running at 99% ...xplane hammers the gpu way harder than p3d does.

They are planning to upgrade it to xplane 11 also
