I just wanted to check my assumption is correct in that networked views for XP11 require not only a separate computer, but also an separate copy (purchased separately) of XP11. My understanding of the digital download licensing is that it is for one computer only. I did correspond with LR regarding the "single computer" and the ability to migrate XP11 to another new-build computer in the future- this would work if done semi-permanently, but "switching back and forth between two computers would not work"- and I'm sure that the same licensed copy running concurrently- albeit from the same IP- would be a problem too. has anyone had a problem where the sim gets stuck in a loop. When I load the sim, it doesn't matter what aircraft I put myself into or what airport, it loads up as the X15 being dropped from a B52. Then it says that I will be dropped from a wing of a B52. I click understand, it goes to the situation for about 5 seconds, no keys, tabs or controls work, then it goes back to the notification about being dropped from a B52. This is making the sim unusable. Any thoughts or solutions would be appreciated scott

Basically as the title says.. is there a way to do this in XP11, maybe via an addon? AKA: Aerofly fs2 style.. in aerofly you can basically drag the airplane icon on their map to any location (and set the altitude).. i cant seem to find a way to do this.. instead i find myself, for instance.. in hunting for bad weather xenviro testing, looking on a radar map, going to google maps, searching for airports, then manually typing them into the sim.. Is there some quicker way to do this, I just dont know about yet? Thanks in advance

For those who haven't followed GPB500's work, he has released a preview/early release of KBUR. As it has been discussed in another thread, Greg has put out some great freeware/donationware scenery for XP10/11 that is worth the download. For a nominal fee (via PayPal), Greg will email you a list of links for all of the donationware scenery he has available (over 13 airports so far) and you also have the benefit of being informed when new scenery comes out as well as links to download. I am having problems trying to get pre-made external flight plans to load into the default FMC on the X-Plane 737-800. I have notice in some YouTube videos that some of the older FMC panels had a "LD" key for this function but the beta 3 737-800 do not. Would it possibly be loaded under the company route key and if so what would I type in? I can barely get the FMC to go direct without all of the SID/trans/en-routes/STARS APP etc. Is there a "Good" tutorial that shows how to use all of the FMC's capabilities? Thanks Terry

So with P3D, if you get to a point where you need to reset a flight, you just push the reset key or button.. starts back where you started.. How do you do this with XP11? I load a saved flight, get to a point, if the plane has an issue and wont start backup, reloading the saved flight seems to be the way to go but not always, it doesnt always fix things back to that saved state. And reloading the saved flight is not a one button solution (not useful in VR).. Does anyone know of workarounds or addons that might emulate a reset with a single keypress? Thanks in advance

Sth is clearly holding back XP11 beta 3 from running faster on my system (2500k 4.9GHz, Titan X Pascal, 20GB RAM, SSD, Win7 64bit). For instance, I slided everything to minimum/none in graphics setting, at default KSEA in C172 I got only 40-45fps. Mind you that I was flying completely bare terrain with no autogen no cars no roads absolutely no nothing. I'd expect my fps should be easily in triple digits. When I fly Ortho4XP scenery, I end up with jerky 10-15 fps with max settings.. But the thing is my CPU (every core) and GPU were barely loaded to 50%. Even stranger, when I strip graphics settings to minimum I only gain 3 - 5 fps. The thing is that beta 2 w…

However on my initial install of x-plane 11, I only clicked on the eastern half of the USA... Do I need to go back and download the other area? So that's my general question. When I install P3d (as was also the case for FSX), it installs the world- not parts of it. For x-plane, should we never fly into areas that aren't installed? Or download airport addons for those areas, without first installing the base x-plane scenery?

So currently I am using SkyMaxx pro hazy days sky textures, but I am looking for a nice looking real set of sky textures and wanted to get peoples opinions.

Out of curiosity, I Installed Bootcamp on my 2015 MacBook Pro 13" 2.9 Ghz (Intel Iris 6100 GPU). just to see if there would be any substantial differences between the X-Plane 11 beta installs. It turns out that there were some differences between the two Install log files (Windows appears to be better equipped, no surprise!) but I was surprised to see that the OpenGL had such a variance in version. Is there any way to update OpenGL on the macOS side? I seem to recall reading that macOS Sierra supports at least OpenGL 4.1... Thanks to all in advance!

Just read on their site, from a post 3/4's of an hour ago, from John V. himself, that he has announced that they do NOT 'want to string X Plane users along.' There will be no Orbx titles for this platform. He did say that within 6 months, there will be many 'beautiful' AeroFly FS2 releases. They made their decision on a number of criteria, of which was totally not spelled right out, some were, size of possible actual users, possible total sales volume, etc, etc... So, no Orbx for XPlane.

Hey guys, I am a P3D user and now, after reading a lot and asking you guys about addons some time ago - I would want to start my XP career. So here is my question: What do I need to start? Target: I want to fly a tubeliner (A320, A330, A350, any 'new' Boeing). I think for the start I will go for the FF A350 or the jardesign A330 - but I have no idea if they work in XP11? Then I would need a weather engine: Sky Maxx Pro v4? What else? Groundhandling? Sceneries? Something like ORBX Scenery? Camera System? I think that would be it for a good start? Any help is appreciated :-)

Hey guys, I need some advice. I want to build a computer that can run X-Plane 11 at 40-60 fps with max or very high settings. I'm having a problem getting a computer together that will even get me close to that. I've come to believe that X-Plane is the best (by a wide margin) of the 3 big flight sims out there. That's just a personal opinion I've come to based on my experience with them. I tried to run X-Plane 10 on a system that included an AMD FX8350 8-core overclocked to 4.9GHz, AMD Radeon R9-390X 8GB VRAM, 16GB DDR3 RAM @ 2400MHz, on a PCIE SSD. Which files would you have to edit to change the class of an aircraft? Some of the a/c are 'Unclassified" as it appears the class wasn't specified in the model. ie the C-130 & X-15 are 'Unclassified', why not in 'Military' ? Thanks

I had an epiphany a couple of nights ago and planning to ditch p3d for a while to check out xplane 11 when it is released. I want to get a Boeing as my first payware plane. Can't decide between 757, 767 and 777. Are they all at a similar level in terms of systems and performance? Want to be able to program SIDS/ STARS, holds etc all the usual things. Not keen on the IXEG 737-200 or the 727, as they're a little too "classic" for me. Any feedback will be welcomed.

One thing I like XP11 was its smooth fps. But since I upgraded to beta 3 I got this micro-stuttering which is the thing I hated most while flying P3D. Now I got this in XP11! I upgraded the video card from 980 to Titan X at the same time. I uninstalled and reinstalled Nvidia driver and no difference. Ironically P3D now runs way smoother with new card so I doubt it's due to card upgrade. Anyone else has this stuttering thing with beta 3? This is really a show stopper to me.

Well, it looks like I'm finally making the the move to XP after the XP11beta launch. It takes an awful lot of getting used to though after FSX & P3D;-) Here we go again with the gradual repurchasing of payware addons. Can't say i'm glad about that, but looking fwd to seeing what becomes available for XP11 once the beta is over. Think I'll probably keep P3D installed. For a while at least.
