Hello guys, Quick question. Im planning to buy the Flightfactor a350, is it compatible with X-Plane 11? im planning to buy it so I need advise Thanks

I know, it's an old beast, LOL. I cannot move my view in the cockpit in XP 11 except for with T-IR, I cannot move the view or look around with my joystick (MS Sidewinder Precision Pro) or with the keyboard arrows.

My goodness, I don't care a ton for the preset effects, but might have fun with them, but under the power user setting, you have a bunch of sliders, and in a few seconds can get rid of the washed out look, I love it. I am definitely an X-Plane fan now, and this really adds some depth to XP11.

Wondering if anyone has ran into this here.. I'm trying to get KORD 2.0 to work with XP (version 11), but i get the unable to load scenery error and the log.txt reveals it cant find certain files under Fruitstand.. Unable to locate object: Fruitstand_Aircraft/A306F_BCS.obj Failed to find resource 'Fruitstand_Aircraft/A343_DLH.obj', are some examples (they exist) At this point i've tried everything, nothing allows it to get past the loading error.. I tried putting Fruitstand-aircraft directly in the root of custom scenery.. no luck there.. i tried switching the dash to an underscore, didnt help.. I tried putting all the subfolders under THE-FRUIT-STAN…

I'm assuming this is just how it is for new aircraft, but am i to assume the route to get an image for the new aircraft in the menu instead of a question mark is to do the generate icon option? When i do this option though, lately it seems its not generating an icon after that (beta3).. It also appears that i dont always seem to be able to find the "generate icon" button... Any thoughts? Booted up a flight tonight and the winds are around 10 knots. With the 172 pointed into the wind, it's idling at 1200 RPM. When you turn from the wind, it idles like normal. Nothing realistic about that and pretty annoying trying to taxi. Is this a side effect of the last beta messing with the prop?

Anyone noticing that flight times are taking longer than planned? A flight that would normally take 2.5 hours is now taking 3.25-3.5 hours. My aircraft frame rates are dropping over time from 29 to 9 and I am wondering if this has something to do with it. If I adjust maximum objects in the graphics setting screen they jump back up to 29. This is in the Challenger 300, haven't tried other aircraft.

I wonder if fellow simmers would be interested in starting a crowd funding project for orthoimagery. The intention would be to gather the necessary funds to buy orthophotos for the most popular regions which could then be turned into scenery with ortho4xp. I didn't think about details yet. It's my personal opinion that orthoimages and XP 11 are the perfect couple and that we need to start building up an official repository of such photos which can be shared by the community. Maybe with some luck and the restriction to not commercialize the pictures one could negotiate an acceptable price with the providers.

Ok. I know I said I wouldn't spend any money on XP11 addons until it was out of beta but as good as the default Cessna is... I kinda hate high wing planes. And I kinda hate C172's. So I am thinking about getting something else. The other default GA planes aren't my cup of tea either, I am afraid, or I don't like how they look at all (blocking the outside view or filling the entire screen with a panel... seriously?) I really love my A2A Cherokee and also the A2A Comanche is quite okay. I also liked the Diamond DA40 (or something similar) in the past and the RealAir Legacy, I was wondering if there are any quality GA planes for XP already that will work in XP11? I doubt…

I just recently stumbled apon this program and I think it's great! It's a bit confusing trying to follow the manual but after some time on youtube It became as clear as mud I have the general "jist" of it after a lot of trial and error. Once I got photo scenery around my home town area it was absolutely night and day. even though the images below are not 3d I am able to easily navigate by visual references VFR in the appropriate condition which for me really add to the immersion effect. x-plane 11 clouds It seems as though when i have a nice overcast layer in x - plane 11 my clouds are very "black" looking. I can understand shades of grey but these are actually very very dark Is this the way it is meant to be in x-plane 11 or is this a texture issue Peter

I contacted SMP (12-29-2016) via their web page (Contact us link) and asked a couple questions about SMP v4 and WRC but have not received a reply. I wrote/asked: "I purchased SMP v3 and RWC v1 ($60) May 2016 for XP10. I got e-mail today to upgrade to SMP v4 at a discount. 1) Is this to upgrade both SMP and RWC? I have not purchased Xplane11 .. which is still in Beta as far as I know. I want to wait for XP11 to be released and working before purchasing it. 2) When I do purchase XP11 will my original SMPv3 and RWC work in XP11?"

When flying in VR, i find the more integrated indicators the better.. though some may call them a "cheat", its better than "importing" windows via flyinside.. With aerofly fs2, you can get visual indicators in the 3d cockpit view to show the next waypoint if you arent on autopilot.. i'm wondering if such an addon or ability exists for XP/XP11 as of yet? Worst case its a good training tool for newbies.. Anyone know off hand.. (still a mild newbie in the XP world) Thanks in advance

It seems the demo area is more enhanced that anywhere else out of the box. IF this is true, what are they doing to enhance it? Maybe using third party libraries for scenery. I never really gave it much thought till 11 was introduced. Thanks Bob

Hi... I'm running XP10 with HDR disabled due to excessive shimmering of scenery when enabled. The only acceptable setting for my personal taste is 8xSSAA+FXAA which moves my GPU usage from 50% for 4xSSAA+FXAA to 95%+ which means that I can no longer maintain a steady 30FPS. I currently have a GTX970 GPU - can anyone with a 1070 or 1080 confirm whether these cards run 8xSSAA+FXAA comfortably in x-plane (other settings permitting obviously - I don't enable shadows for example)? I have a 1920*1080 screen resolution, 4.6ghz cpu, 16gb ram. Thanks

I'm wondering if anyone is able to perform a Direct To now? It was working in b3... from PPOS to a new fix, you LSK into the top slot (LSK1 I guess) and it would take you from present pos to the new fix. That doesn't seem to work for me. Anyone else?

I'm very new to Ortho4xp What is the best source to use for Canada? I've experimented creating a few tiles in British Columbia with various degrees of success. When I tried with Bing, colors of the individual tiles seem to be very mismatched and there tends to be a lot of clouds. I tried what I think is google and it seems to screw up a lot with blank tiles. I'd estimate about 20% of the individual tiles were blank. I'm very impressed with what Ortho4xp is able to achieve, but does Canada just have crappy source photo's?

I just downloaded the beta, for x-plane 11. The performance is so bad that I can not use it. I guess it is 1 FPS slide show. I run FSX with high settings and get at least 30 FPS even with PMDG 737 and all other aircraft add--ons. My CPU is intel I7, 940. My video is GTX 460 card. How is it possible that I only get 1 FPS slide show with their demo? Thanks, JIm

So having used a few betas and seen people's posts, I like the new clean interface very much but I hope that the inclusion of a clouds, and vehicle traffic sliders get added, I think the low medium and high slider is just too vague for tweaking, for example I run an older i5 so cpu items bottleneck performance, but I have a 1070gtx so the aa HDR etc I can run at max and it looks great, I'm all up for simplified sliders but I think we need a few extra options

Has anyone had any luck calibrating an x52 joystick system with x p 11 I cannot get the views to stick to the hat switches and rarely to the assignment work correctly Moreover I seem to have to reassign the control assignments at each start up I looked in the x52 profile section of saitek but there is no profile for xp11 at this time Thoughts.
